This can happen due to a few reasons, but one of them is the temperature in which the product was primarily in during transit, and the temperature it arrived in. We have a few great articles in our FAQs about how to more quickly flatten, but it sounds like you got it taken care of. If you plan to roll it up for storage, we recommend reviewing those FAQs upon removing it from storage, so that you may more quickly flatten it in the future. We hope you enjoy!

“I have only had my mat, table cover for a few days. So far I think it is just what I needed, and Ellie and Katie were very helpful and prompt with all of my questions 😊 thank you gals. My order was also done quickly, I had them send me a paper to trace my table, since it was not square. Thank you”

“We ordered this custom sized table protector for a second home overseas. The customer service was very good, replied quickly, with helpful answers. The product was made and shipped quickly and arrived well packaged. Once we rolled it open, we discovered that the measurements were not exactly right and the cuts were not perfectly square. In the end we had to mark and cut this item to fit better. The width was perfect but the length was ¼ inch too long on one corner and ⅛ inch too long on the other corner (of the same side). After these minor repairs, we are happy with the product. 4 stars for being very close but not perfect.”

We're so sorry to hear your order was not exact. We strive to be as exact as possible on every order. All of our products are made-to-spec, and should fit within our 1/8" tolerance guarantee. If it does not, we highly recommend reaching out before adjusting so that we may troubleshoot and resolve the issue. If it is within the 1/8" guarantee, but it has a tiny amount of excess material you'd like to remove, trimming is very simple. “The rear area of my 2025 is not the exact same as the 2019 -2024’s. However the quality of the exactmats is still superior to any other protective mats. I had previously purchased them for my Audi and my tundra, and now for my new Ram. Aero products well worth the price!!!!!”

“These mats match the exsisiting carpets perfectly. They are high quality and I couldn't be happier with one small exception. The Exactmats sit on top of the floor mat toggle creating a small bump in the Exactmat. I would be nice if there was a circular cutout to fit around the toggle thereby eliminating this small hump in the mat. Otherwise, I would by these again as they are affordable and look good in the car. This is my second set of Exactmats.”

We are glad to hear that your custom mats are providing an extra layer of protection for your pantry, but we’re so sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the smell of your vinyl liners. As a customer-centric company, that’s certainly not what we want! To add a bit of color, we would like to clarify there is a natural off-gassing process (not to be confused with harmful “out-gassing”) for any newly made plastic or vinyl. This occurs soon after an order is produced and typically only lasts a few days after unboxing. This happens with nearly every plastic product there is, like a new shower curtain or beachball. That said, due to our products’ special formulations (pure virgin vinyl, lead-free, BPA-free, and Phthalate-free) the scent you are experiencing is not harmful and should dissipate. “We ordered a mat for our dining table, and in addition to it being cut the wrong size, there was a flaw in the material. True to their word, after sending pictures to them, they sent a return label for the mat and shipped a new one, which fit and looks great!”

“I rated the ExactMats I ordered as a 4 because I expected the product would be more rigid than it turned out to acually be. I was expecting a product that would retain its shape like a solid wood top desk. The product is soft which means if you place a heavy object on it and leave it for a protracted period, the mat will become depressed and reflect the shape of the heavy object. I still will use the product to cover my desk top as it is an improvement because it will protect the top of my desk.”

Thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear the product did not 100% meet your expectations. That's not what we want at all! After all, our customers' satisfaction is our #1 priority! To clarify, while our product is made to look similar to glass, it does not share all of the same physical or chemical attributes as glass. Vinyl is not typically rigid like glass, for instance. That said, our product is rolled up for shipping and can be rolled for storage, and does have a bit of give (this is due to the impact resistance in the material), but it should not cause any permanent impressions unless a very heavy object has been sitting on the product for a prolonged period of time. That said, it looks like our team contacted you to see if there was anything else we could do. They've let us know that you've opted to keep this existing mat for protection purposes. “The quality of the mat was very good, but I asked for 22.25 inches width, and they cut it to 22.0 inches. Still usable, but that's concerning for a company that calls itself EXACTmats.”

In regards to using the product with a mouse: although the product is not designed to be used as a mousepad, but rather a surface protector, customers have had much success using our products as a mousepad when there is a pattern or woodgrain under the mat - an optical mouse should be able to pick up the movement. If you have a surface like this, and you are experiencing issues, please reach out to our Support Team (Support@ExactMats.com) for further assistance. That said, if the material is on top of a solid, monochrome surface, due to the nature of a clear product and how a laser mouse works, the mouse may not be able to read that it's moving. If this is the case, we would suggest adding a mouse pad to the top of the desk cover. We hope this is helpful! “Our table cover was manufactured and shipped so quickly that it was amazing. The material was as advertised - perfectly clear and colorless. It was necessary to return our cover for an exchange because one of the dimensions was just slightly too long (some sort of expansion during shipment, apparently). Also, we will need to try the hair dryer trick when our new cover arrives, because the edges wouldn’t lay perfectly flat (probably due to cold weather making it stiff). Customer service was excellent in handling our return.”

Once you receive the mat, you'll just want to unroll the mat and lay it flat on your surface. The mat should return to its flat state within a few hours to a day or so. “Don't get me wrong the mats are nice but compared to the ones I had in my 2013 they are a little thinner and don't have the outside ridge that kept water inside the mat.”
