“Very very poor choice of food was dismal. I ended up having a scone it was from a supermarket multipack dry and tasteless. Unless you are going to use them to get your share of alcohol there’s no point and as I don’t drink it was an expensive waste of money. Best way to sum it up if I won it as a prize I wouldn’t go”

“I visited Aspire lounge at Heathrow Terminal 5 on 3 January at a special offer of £31. Positive comments would be that there was plenty of choice for food and drink, I was there for late breakfast and then an early lunch too. A negative comment would be that the lounge was very cramped, I was perched on a stool with people constantly trying to squeeze past, the lounge was so busy. Is Aspire admitting too many people at the same time for profit-making, I have to ask? Can the lounge be extended at the back as there seems to be a huge void area unused? Plaza Premium lounge at Heathrow is £40 entry and this offers much more space and comfort although entry is limited to 2 hours whereas Aspire offers 3 hours.”

“My second visit to the Aspire plus lounge, because I knew what I was getting. A relaxing, good quality lounge. A good selection of food, ours was an early flight so a hearty breakfast. My only observation is that as you can eat as much as you like, go back as often as you like, why do lounges (all lounges in my experience) only provide plates the size of saucers? I had to go back to serving area three times to get a decent portion of breakfast.”

“It was good to be able to relax whilst charging any electricals! The only thing I would say is the hot food options were interesting, maybe just like chilli or curry would have been a nice option. All in all was lovely.”

“Disgusting. No toilet facilities in lounge. No room to relax. Far too crowded. Minimum food menu. Felt like I was sitting in a corridor. Wouldn't recommend at all.”

“Perfect service. Apart from the woman who served us kept my wife chatting at the bar for around 15 mins which meant I didnt get my drink:-) just goes to show how friendly the staff really are in newcastle airport. Would definitely recommend and definitely book up again. Thanks lee”

“Me and my family had 7 hours to wait for a connection flight, we spent 6 hours in the lounge it was excellent from start to finish, comfortable chairs fresh food and a good enough choice plus free drinks and a good selection, would definitely use it again.”

“Lounge lobby was clean and desk staff was very polite. It was a busy time so she was a little overwhelmed at the front desk. Food was pleasant and refreshed regularly. Bar service needs some attention. We were there at a busy time between rushes of travelers checking in and leaving so it was tough to find a seat at first. However, we were lucky enough to get a quiet, enclosed spot near the restrooms. Restrooms were overrun with guests so there was always a wait and it was difficult to keep them clean. Food, beverages and a space away from the chaos of the open sitting areas in the terminal is worth the cost. Overall, it was a very good value.”

“The lounge was nice and clean. The staff pleasant and very efficient at clearing up. The food was ok. Not a lot of hot choice to my liking unfortunately. My bug bare (again personal taste) is that there was no bottled/cans of Diet Coke. It was draft Pepsi which wasn’t very fizzy.”

“Great way to spend a chilled couple of hrs before your flight, sadly on this occasion a party of 10 ruined it for everyone as they were intent on getting as much alcohol as possible which meant them getting louder ,perhaps a wee word from the servers wouldn't have gone amiss”
