Alcohol was fine but the selection of food was appalling. For example you had crackers but no cheese? I expected maybe a selection of sandwiches or rolls. Needless to say by the time we got on the plane we were all really hungry and had to pay for an airline meal, adding greatly to our holiday cost. Regards Mrs Jade Thompson-Jones

The lounge was full from the start to the end of our visit , with no access to any comfortable and relaxing seating. We ended up sat by the entrance with a constant stream of people coming and going . There was no explanation of the facilities offered . Not the most pleasant lounge experience we have had.

Definitely lacking on the food front. Was surprised that there were no sandwiches or salad. Just a rather bad soup & roll with sliced fruit cake, crackers & cheese. Queried the lack of even a sandwich was told that's in the Escape lounge but we Don,t restrict drink ! If this is the best the Styal lounge can do, then it is not for us.

We booked the Aspire lounge at T5 for the start of our honeymoon. Finding the lounge was easy, but we were very disappointed upon entry. First off the e-pass on my phone was not accepted and the gent on reception could not find our booking. The lounge itself was relatively small, with no toilet facilities, we had to go out of the lounge to use the ones in the terminal building. We did not use the shower or beauty facilities, but they looked small too. Also, they wanted to charge £20 for a shower! The food and drinks available was the only saving grace for this lounge. I will not be booking this lounge again, it is not worth £35 per person.

I visited Newcastle aspire lounge on the 17/9/2015 after using the cheviot lounge a few times over the last 10 yrs we were very impressed. The aspire a lot busier. We spent a long time looking for a seat, also standing in Ques for sandwiches to be made as there was none. when we asked we were told it's every 20 mins there put out. There was soup and rolls also biscuits. Would I use this lounge again? I don't think so. It just didn't have the comfort we expected because of the amount of people in it. We were told it was full to its capacity but seriously I'm sure there was far too many people in at one time. We waited for too long for seats, sandwiches and the drinks que was just ridiculous. We are not big drinkers. Just as well but if we wanted to have 3/4 drinks there would of been no chance. I was quite stressed when we left to board our flight. DISAPPOINTED VERY MUCH. S. Arkle

The lounge was quite full when we arrived. Unfortunately I didn't think it was value for money unless you enjoy alcohol. The snacks were not replenished, you had to keep asking the staff for snacks. The staff were friendly, but very busy serving drinks. Leeds Bradford lounges are much better. I would not pay again to go in this lounge, very disappointed.

Overall there was never anybody behind the bar it took me 4 visits to get a bacon sandwich and the seating was old and dated. I will use you again but as a last resort I will try the others first but you where the only option this time as it was a last minute trip.

Disappointed in my visit this time. Seated in a so called quiet zone surrounded by screaming babies & children. People milling around in inappropriate clothing. Completely contrary to the blurb which clearly states no children under 12 would be using the lounge & asking customers to dress casual/smart. Spoiled the experience for me & would not use Aspire again. Food was ok & plentiful.

From the moment I entered the lounge with one of the receptionists thinking it suitable to joke that there was no booking for me, I found most aspects of the lounge to be poor. There was overcrowding meaning that a number of people were just walking around waiting to pounce on the next available seat. My table had dirty glasses and plates on and it took over 15 mins for them to be cleared. The food was of a very basic and mass produced quality, again people were queuing to get to it. The only positive was the bar, which stocked a good quality range or drinks and the barman was of a high caliber. Overall I wouldn't waste £35 going there again and embarrassing associates - pay the extra and go to an executive lounge.

IS USED THE LOUNGE AT THE END OF THE DAY, IT WAS VERY BUSY WHICH WAS UNDERSTANDABLE FOR THE TIMINGS HOWEVER IT WAS FILTHY. THE FLOOR WAS DISGUSTING, THERE WERE DIRTY DISHES LEFT EVERYWHERE, THE COFFEE MACHINE WAS OUT OF COFFEE BEANS. THE STAFF WERE ALL MISERABLE THERE WERE HOT MINI PASTRIES (VEGI) WHICH WERE LOVELY, THE SOUP WAS HOT AND NICE ALTHOUGH I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT FLAVOUR IT WAS. THE CORRIDOR WE HAD TO WALK ALONG TO GET TO THE LOUNGE WAS LEAKING WATER IE DRIPPING ON US AS WE WALKED ALONG. THE AIR CON WAS HIGH SO IT WAS THE COLDEST PLACE IN THE AIRPORT

find the lounge rather busy and very noisy ( too many kids ) and the fact you have to ask for a drink you feel you are being treated like a kid as staff look at you with a look to say watch what you drink .

Noticeable decline in standards since the lounge has been operated by Swissport. The wine offered is now just about the cheapest one can buy making it virtually undrinkable. There was no beer and the selection of nibbles was pathetic. Decor was worn and tired and the staff unfriendly. I will be looking for an alternative in future.

We booked the executive lounge as a treat before our family holiday as it was our 20th wedding anniversary and also probably our last family holiday together before our daughter starts university. We arrived at the Lounge feeling quite stressed after being stuck in traffic for the last hour to do 3 mile to the Airport to be then told that the Lounge was full and very busy at the moment but we could try and find a seat. After paying nearly £76 for the four of us we found the food was very limited, just some soup and nibbles. My daughter was burnt after spilling red hot soup all over her hand and was just offered a cloth with some ice, when she asked to use the tap to run cold water over it she was told to go to the toilet. We were also unable to connect to the 'free wifi'. My husband waited in a queue of approx. 15-20 people to get a drink and was told if we wanted another drink to bring our glass back. We managed to find a seat and after having just one drink it came up on the board that our Gate was open and was now boarding. We rushed down to the Gate to then find that there was a delay of approx. an hour but it was still showing 'boarding'. We found the whole situation very stressful and a total waste of money. £76 for 4 drinks and 2 bowls of soup and to be in a small confined area, when all you want to do is relax and enjoy the start of your holiday. We will definitely not be booking into the Executive Lounge at T2 again.

Very basic drinks in a D.I.Y environment. Cheap snacks, and a lack of staff around, felt very much like a fast food outlet. My husband and I had to find a member of staff to wipe our table before we could use, as was left sticky and wet from previous customers. This was our first visit, having normally used other more expensive lounges. However, we now feel that they were worth the extra expense. Disappointed.
