“Easy to find the right Tutor, communication was fantastic and my daughter started within a week. She has gained confidence in Maths with thanks to Dora's tuition, hopefully this will reflect in her GCSE exams.”

“It's free and easy to use so that's definitely a plus and I have been found by a number of tutees on First Tutors. Their communication is also very good. The one thing that could be improved is their communication with potential tutees as once a certain deadline has gone by, you can no longer access that tutee's details and that has made communication difficult on one occasion for me. However, overall they are very good indeed.”

“The site is a good area for connecting people to tutors with expertise in the subject matter. The main critical area is that if you feel the overall professionalism of the tutor is not up to scratch there is no way of leaving retrospective feedback through the site. For example my tutor asked me for feedback in the middle of our agreed block of sessions. At the time my perception of the tutor was positive. At the end of the block she asked for more money and challenged me as to why this could not be possible. I thought this was an unprofessional response and if I had known this was her game my feedback would not have been so positive.”

“Good quality tutors. The tutor I chose is excellent! My problem is that the website charged £20 to introduce me to the tutor which I thought was a bit high if they were also charging the tutors to advertise.”
