I bought a pair of Veja trainers from Flannels branch in Silverburn, Glasgow as a gift. I wouldn’t have bought them from Flannels and have never actually been into one of their stores, but they were the only place who stocked the size I needed, so I had no choice. Their customer service is dreadful. The young woman who served me looked bored and did not smile once. She actually sighed as though I was an inconvenience. She was very rude and arrogant - clearly thought the only requirement for her job was to look pretty and have her makeup on. Appalling. Also discovered after I paid that they don’t offer refunds, only credit notes. The young woman who served me mumbled this information and I couldn’t hear her so wasn’t aware until after I left. Avoid this shop. No customer service. Also the clothes and bags they sell are awful. Like something you’d buy in a Turkish market, but cost a fortune. All cash and no class as they say!

Awful service. Charges double the amount (17 pounds) for returning the things than the actual transport cost (8 pounds). Customer service is very arrogant as well.

I bought a Dolce Gabbana Devotion bag which arrived on Sunday 20 of February. When upon opening the package I discovered that the colors were not as posted and immediately placed the bag back in its package and returned it back. When Flannels’s received the returned package they accused me of using it even with the tag intact to the handbag (probably it was a display model...) An absurdity and lie on there behalf. They have refused me to return my monies of 689 pounds (order number FLAN40000070237943) and informed me they are resending the bag back to me. I have now returned from my vacation and can confirm the Dolca & Cabana handbag has been returned to me safely. I am surprised that the handbag was left on the front porch (for a week) to our house without any proof of its safe arrival. I left a negative comment on the Flannel page and then they wrote to me to send it back for a follow-up check. After the inspection they sent me back the same bag again and I did not get my money back. They said I used this bag so I will not get my money back. I will be reporting them to trading standards and perusing for a return of funds via the small claims court. It’s disgraceful behavior. I would not order online again as you do not know what you are going to end up with and they will not take it back!

I just want to say I very rarely complain about a company but this time I was so upset and frustrated by the whole experience. I could not get a refund on a pair of expensive sunglasses I had bought 4 days prior. I had not worn them as they felt uncomfortable and didn't fit me properly. I will never shop at flannels again.

Appealing service and awful experience! I bought a pair of trainers from Flannels. The shoes are really uncomfortable as the back part of the trainers dig right into the ankles. The first time I paid £10 myself to return the trainers but they refused to refund my money and sent the item back. I contacted their customer service and they promised me a second investigation on my order. This time they arranged a DPD parcel collection service for me but the driver never came to my door. I had to print the return label and drop it at a collection point. Shockingly, this time they still refused to refund my money and insisted it was not a manufacturing fault. The trainers were sent back to me again! I sent the item back in brand new condition but then just refused to refund. Their return policy is ridiculous and their service is absolutely terrible! Once you buy something from them, whether there are faults with the item, you won't be able to get a refund. It's a scam. If you want a delightful online shopping experience, don't use them. Just as the other reviewers suggested, please go to Selfridges or Harvey Nichols.

Following from my first review, flannels had acknowledged my complain but as expected they were not willing to sort the problem out & are refusing to replace or refund my order due to the timings of the order was placed in October but never used until after Xmas as they were bought as a gift. Flannels response from Nicole the sock expert. Thank you for your email, I am sorry to hear this and I understand your frustration, Unfortunately, we will not be refunding or resending a new pair of socks as you have had these for a few months now and this would be standard wear and tear shown on the item. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Kind regards Nicole

Flannels used to have bad reviews in the past years which have refrained me from buying anything of them. Unfortunately for me, I broke this rule and paid the consequences full on. I purchased roughly a week ago a designer handbag on their site. When I checked my email, I noticed the order had been cancelled. So I placed it again. Checked my email again, and again the order had been cancelled. I spent the whole day trying to re-purchase that handbag, but I was given a security error. I wrote in the evening to CS and the team who looks after online purchases, and they replied to me the following day saying if I wanted to purchase the bag I had to pay it full price (the day before was discount of 700 pounds). The most ridiculous excuse to cancel my orders was that I had used two different address for billing/shipping. It comes without saying this is NOT true. The worse thing is that they did hold the money from the two transactions, and this was over 3000 pounds for few days. My husband's bank account went to overdraft, I did explain this to them, I emailed them to sort out the situation, they are so rubbish that did not ever bother replying back to me. For sure, they will never see me, my family again. This is not the way you do treat customers. FLANNELS do not bother trying to reply back to this review and try to sort things out, it's too late now. I will not respond. I only want to make other customers aware of what they could face.

Appallingly bad company I placed my first order with Flannels on 22.1.22 for a Perfect Moment size 8 sweater at £161 including postage. The following day I received the order which contained a mustard sleeveless blazer with the ticket pulled off in a Perfect Moment size 8 polythene bag. I contacted Flannels by live chat. There was an option on the drop down menu for 'received wrong item'. The assistant was helpful, apologising for the error. She arranged a pick up next day and gace me 10% discount and free delivery for me to order the sweater again. On 28th January I received back the mustard sleevleless blazer with a later stating they check everything before dispatch and I would not have received this jacket in error, therefore they could not refund me or do an exchange. So they implied I had lied about this incorrect item. I have been left £161 out of pocket and have a mustard sleeveless blazer! 'Received wrong item' on the drop down menu proves that wrong items are sometimes sent out. The fact that this jacket was placed inside the perfect Moment size 8 sweater bag indicates that this was not done accidentally and that Flannels need to check on who was actually responsible for this dispatch. I have contacted the Martin Lewis site Resolver to try and get my full refund back. Losing £161 and being accused of lying has caused me a great deal of stress and anxiety. I would not recommend Flannels to anyone.

I purchased £100 tommy hilfiger hoodie, washed once following instructions. It came out the washer covered in bobbles. I contacted flannels, I asked if I could return to Shirebrook flannels. I was told no I need to pay for postage to return then they will look at the item. I'm very dubious doing this after reading all these reviews regarding returns. I will not be shopping with flannels again!!!!

We were celebrating my sons 18th Birthday in London with family, and so visited Oxford Street as we have done so many times before, however never have I encountered such rude, aggressive and intimidating behaviour from a retail staff member – I feel that I am still in shock from the experience, it ruined our day and I was left shaking and emotional after such an encounter. Upon entering the store the doorman reached for my son and pulled him back saying he couldn’t come in with his drink. We were happy to adhere to the rules but I was less than happy with the way the message had been aggressively delivered – i felt he had been a little overzealous so I said to him that there was no need to be aggressive and I did not appreciate his approach. My son disposed of the drink and we entered the store and thought no more of the encounter until it was time to leave, the doorman obviously did not feel his earlier aggressive behaviour was enough – he proceed to lean right in my face (NOT WEARING A FACE MASK WHICH I AM ALSO VERY CONCERNED ABOUT AS HE HAS NOW PUT ME AT RISK) and whispered that he had spoken to management and I was barred for life and have a nice day in the most spiteful tone. I could not believe what I was hearing! I did not have a clue what on earth could have warranted this and he said that he did not like my tone so I was now barred for life. I felt very intimidated and so left the store however as my family (and other customers who also heard the encounter) were waiting outside they advised me to get his door badge number so I could make a formal complaint as they also had never witnessed such behaviour. I went back into the store to speak to the manager as I was absolutely disgusted with the way I had been treated by this individual and wanted to prevent him using such intimidating behaviour in the future. Even when I was talking to the manager (who actually was not at all aware of the issue – so he had made it up himself!) – could not have been more sympathetic to my situation he was standing there smirking and i still cannot believe the way that he was allowed to carry on in such a reputable store. I was so annoyed by his behaviour that I began recording him in an attempt to curb this behaviour. After speaking with the manager we left, in shock as we all (5 of my own family plus 2 other customers who had seen the episode) all vowing never to set foot in that store again, as it was evident that management had no idea at all about the fact that I was barred for life – he had made this up himself??? Surely you cannot condone such behaviour. The whole event left us feeling shocked and saddened that this had ruined my sons birthday trip, so I am compelled to share my experience with others as there may be many more that this has happened to but are too scared to speak out. I have now been waiting over a week and a half for any kind of response other than – we are waiting to speak to the store – which actually feels like they do not believe their (7?!) customers?! Surely that we feel this way should be enough to warrant an apology? Clearly not Flannels obviously feel that their customers are not always right and their staff can treat them as they see fit – including violating their personal space and putting them at risk. Prior to this I have had nothing but positive experience with flannels and feel you deserve to know if an individual is impacting your hard earned reputation as it only takes one person to destroy all the hard work.

Brought a pair of Valentino shoes for my wife for Christmas. Cost nearly £700. One of the studs on the front was off centre and completely off set to the rest of the studs. I bought them from the Coventry branch. My wife was not happy and I wasn’t too I went back to return them and I was not able to get a refund due to the fault. I was told by Jazz who is the assistant Manager that’s how the studs were put on. After 45 minutes debating I still did not get a refund on a faulty product . I asked to speak to the manager and he told me that I could have a replacement or credit note but not a refund. I even showed them the statuary rights gov website and yet they still refused to give my money back. I returned back home with a credit nite. I’m not happy and will be taking further action against a company who dies not follow gov guidelines . Beware beware do not buy if you intend to return and item if faulty because you will but get your money back . Coventry branch is a joke Jazz needs to gets some customer service experience And Simon the manger tried to fob me of with returns are only on line for refund nit in store. It’s a joke specifically when your spending a lot of your hard earned cash. So you have been warned and ask what the return policy is before you buy . Jokers
