I purchased £100 tommy hilfiger hoodie, washed once following instructions. It came out the washer covered in bobbles. I contacted flannels, I asked if I could return to Shirebrook flannels. I was told no I need to pay for postage to return then they will look at the item. I'm very dubious doing this after reading all these reviews regarding returns. I will not be shopping with flannels again!!!!

We were celebrating my sons 18th Birthday in London with family, and so visited Oxford Street as we have done so many times before, however never have I encountered such rude, aggressive and intimidating behaviour from a retail staff member – I feel that I am still in shock from the experience, it ruined our day and I was left shaking and emotional after such an encounter. Upon entering the store the doorman reached for my son and pulled him back saying he couldn’t come in with his drink. We were happy to adhere to the rules but I was less than happy with the way the message had been aggressively delivered – i felt he had been a little overzealous so I said to him that there was no need to be aggressive and I did not appreciate his approach. My son disposed of the drink and we entered the store and thought no more of the encounter until it was time to leave, the doorman obviously did not feel his earlier aggressive behaviour was enough – he proceed to lean right in my face (NOT WEARING A FACE MASK WHICH I AM ALSO VERY CONCERNED ABOUT AS HE HAS NOW PUT ME AT RISK) and whispered that he had spoken to management and I was barred for life and have a nice day in the most spiteful tone. I could not believe what I was hearing! I did not have a clue what on earth could have warranted this and he said that he did not like my tone so I was now barred for life. I felt very intimidated and so left the store however as my family (and other customers who also heard the encounter) were waiting outside they advised me to get his door badge number so I could make a formal complaint as they also had never witnessed such behaviour. I went back into the store to speak to the manager as I was absolutely disgusted with the way I had been treated by this individual and wanted to prevent him using such intimidating behaviour in the future. Even when I was talking to the manager (who actually was not at all aware of the issue – so he had made it up himself!) – could not have been more sympathetic to my situation he was standing there smirking and i still cannot believe the way that he was allowed to carry on in such a reputable store. I was so annoyed by his behaviour that I began recording him in an attempt to curb this behaviour. After speaking with the manager we left, in shock as we all (5 of my own family plus 2 other customers who had seen the episode) all vowing never to set foot in that store again, as it was evident that management had no idea at all about the fact that I was barred for life – he had made this up himself??? Surely you cannot condone such behaviour. The whole event left us feeling shocked and saddened that this had ruined my sons birthday trip, so I am compelled to share my experience with others as there may be many more that this has happened to but are too scared to speak out. I have now been waiting over a week and a half for any kind of response other than – we are waiting to speak to the store – which actually feels like they do not believe their (7?!) customers?! Surely that we feel this way should be enough to warrant an apology? Clearly not Flannels obviously feel that their customers are not always right and their staff can treat them as they see fit – including violating their personal space and putting them at risk. Prior to this I have had nothing but positive experience with flannels and feel you deserve to know if an individual is impacting your hard earned reputation as it only takes one person to destroy all the hard work.

Brought a pair of Valentino shoes for my wife for Christmas. Cost nearly £700. One of the studs on the front was off centre and completely off set to the rest of the studs. I bought them from the Coventry branch. My wife was not happy and I wasn’t too I went back to return them and I was not able to get a refund due to the fault. I was told by Jazz who is the assistant Manager that’s how the studs were put on. After 45 minutes debating I still did not get a refund on a faulty product . I asked to speak to the manager and he told me that I could have a replacement or credit note but not a refund. I even showed them the statuary rights gov website and yet they still refused to give my money back. I returned back home with a credit nite. I’m not happy and will be taking further action against a company who dies not follow gov guidelines . Beware beware do not buy if you intend to return and item if faulty because you will but get your money back . Coventry branch is a joke Jazz needs to gets some customer service experience And Simon the manger tried to fob me of with returns are only on line for refund nit in store. It’s a joke specifically when your spending a lot of your hard earned cash. So you have been warned and ask what the return policy is before you buy . Jokers

I picked up a pair of Gucci sunglasses from store. The package was sealed. Once home, my husband opened up the package(Xmas present) the sunglasses were not in the case…. Store and customer services contacted but they say the need to investigate prior to proceeding further. Left without refund or Xmas gift. Absolutely appalled. Reading the reviews it’s clearly not a one of case. This is so upsetting, I’ve never experience anything like this. Customer services were absolutely useless and unhelpful…

If you are buying clothes for £300-£1000, you should be giving to charity - disgusting the prices in these places for textile materials that cost 35p to make. Makes me sick society has these sort of stores, when people cant afford to eat

Absolutely appalling customer service. We ordered a t-shirt that had clearly been worn as it smelt of fabric conditioner. We returned it explaining this. Flannels sent it back to us refusing to give us a refund saying it had been worn. We complained they asked us to send it back (again at our expense) and they sent it back again saying it had been worn!!!! Yes it has, but not by us. An absolute joke. They are clearly hoping we give up because soon the postage will be more than the t-shirt. You should be embarrassed. An absolute sham!!!!!

Terrible customer service. Absolutely would not ship here again. Having made a £1,000 item purchase and identifying a fault. The customer service received was non excitant and trading standards rules complexly ignored. I would not recommend to shop at flannels

I went into flannels in Meadowhall… I went into flannels in Meadowhall Sheffield straight from work so had overalls on I was wanting to buy a Katie spade purse for my wife Went to the counter and asked a young girl who to be honest looked like a goth nose piercing sort of dreadlocks and big black boots I asked do you sell katie spade I asked She replied never heard of her and carried on with her conversation with another girl behind the counter So I asked so what purses do you have Once again looked at me as if to say You can’t afford anything in here “Oh the over there in the cabinets” and carried on with her conversation So I walked away as I was leaving I saw a young lady so I asked could you show me some purses No I can’t but I can get someone from that department Yes you guessed it the goth She was not impressed I told her what I wanted a dark leather purse with compartments inside She just went round pointing out the ones she said she liked I said I’m not buying you one it’s for my wife So she pointing at purses and I said my I look at the rather than just seeing them in the cabinet This girl was so unhelpful I finished up getting one at just under £400 But also what some Christian Louboutins but decided not to get them there I’ve shopped at flannels for years and always had good service when Carl was manager I don’t think I will be shopping there again As they say don’t judge a book by it’s cover I felt like I didn’t belong in there because I’d got work clothes on Btw I bought the Louboutins yesterday from selfridges in Manchester

I bought a £220 Jasmine perfume from the Dior stall in Flannel's Meadowhall, Sheffield. Flannels is new in Sheffield. I have never heard of Flannels or shopped at Flannels before so I was unaware of their return policy. I was dissatisfied with the perfume because although the tester smelled nice, the scent did not last all day and was very weak for such a pricey perfume. I could not smell the perfume on me when I got home. So the next day, I went back to the store and found another Jasmine perfume for half the price, £110. I asked if I could exchange the perfume and be refunded the difference. As soon as I said the word "Refund" it was immediately an issue. The manager on duty called other staff over and said they normally don't do refunds. She tried to refund me but was unable to. (training needed?) And she was also unsure of how to give me a credit note. So I had to come back another day hoping that the next manager on duty could help me. When I returned, they informed me that they could only give me store credit due to their no-returns policy which they did not tell me about. Even giving me store credit, they were being funny with me saying, "We can give you store credit but we shouldn't." There were no signs up in the store to warn unsuspecting customers. It only shows on the receipt after you bought the item and cannot return it. Pretty much all the stores in Meadowhall allow returns/refunds (unless maybe for sale items with large signs up) so I was shocked to find out I could not get a refund. I had no choice but to accept the £110 credit note which was given to me on a poor quality paper receipt which is fading. It is valad for 2 years but will not last that long. I had already spent up to £500 in-store on make-up, skin care and perfume so I did not want anything else from Flannels. I gave the perfume back in perfect condition in all original packaging but they did not want to give my money back. For this reason, I do not trust this store and will never shop from them again. I was made to feel intimidated by asking for a refund, unprofessional service and I feel they are very sneaky, misleading and not honest with their customers by not having signs up in their stores and not making it clear to customers that there are NO RETURNS. Whatever you buy from them, you are stuck with. They sell very expensive designer items worth over £1,000 so someone could get screwed over worse than me. Don't even bother contacting customer service as they will not help you. They will only blame you that it's your responsibility to know Flannels return policy and that you need to sort it out with the store you bought the item from. Absolutely useless! They also insisted that the store had signs up but I have been to the store 3 times regarding this issue and God knows I was looking for those signs and I did not see any. Even the staff could not show me where they had a sign up. THERE WERE NO SIGNS UP!! (Trading Standards need to look into this place!!)

FLANNELS HAS STOLEN JUST UNDER £2,000 FROM ME! BUYER BEWARE. I purchased a bag via Flannels' website. I returned the bag in accordance with Flannels' terms and conditions as it was defective, namely it had a small tear on one handle and large creases. I have still not received a refund after over two weeks of supplying Flannels evidence of returning the bag. I emailed Flannels over two weeks ago and they have not responded. I contacted Flannels' customer service team via telephone and they informed me that they are only able to issue a refund upon receipt of the Bag but that they were unable to inform me whether they had received the Bag... By failing to issue me a refund, Flannels is in breach of our agreement, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015. I have had to resort to sending a letter before action.

I ordered a £260 online tried establishing the size guide to fit well ordered large as no specific size guide online to the indudual designer, when it arrived it was too big as tried it on and took it off immediately then sent back with a return label , within 48 hours returned to me with a letter saying rejected as worn !! The letter also had a number that doesn’t connect Massive surprise and also frustrated as I’m not guilty of what they claim

Today I’ve finished my job in Oxford and decide to go and buy a new Gucci bag. I was with my kit bag cabin luggage ( my kit with 10k ) I’m a very busy international artist, and at the entrance meanwhile I was asking for assistance and where is the Handbag section they firstly interrupt me and straight after “asked” to leave my kit at the door with the security guard. I left my little luggage with the security guard and inside the shop likes anybody’s came to help but only following me with eyes very attentive. Call for assistance and nobody came. So sad. They have lost a good client. They look me bad because they don’t understand fashion but only about visible logos. Very poor judgment, they judge you for your clothes and they failed because my outfit was 100% made in Italy with designers they can even dream who they are. I will never come back.
