Beers were good, crisps, cheese and dried meat are very dry and hard.

Unfortunately, I assumed that by requesting a date for delivery, it being a birthday present, that it would be honoured. This was not the case, and the parcel arrived two days later, which was disappointing.

I ordered from The Cheese Merchant: the cheeses very good (would be for the price:), but the communication was very poor. After a confusion over delivery dates and delayed e-mail communication, they agreed to add something samll in the box to make up for it, but never did. Also, it was a present, bu not only it was delivered on time, but also the message which are wrote when making the order was missing. Defeats the point of shopping with small companies - you pay more, but the service is not personal and it is less reliable, than a big retailer. Apart from the quality of cheese - disappointed.

I placed an order for a gift for my father's very special birthday - but sadly it was not delivered on the day as requested, or the following day, or the day after that.... BoroughBox handled it all well and my request for a refund, and investigated the missing delivery with the courier company, hence the 3 stars - but I advise that you change courier company as their excuse for non delivery on the chosen day was not truthful, and no excuse was given for non delivery on the subsequent days.... I must admit i will hesitate to order from you again because of the courier company you choose to use.

Lots substituted, didn’t feel was replaced With any similar alternatives. An example of this was a tonic water for an orange juice. Also no small tins of additives to put into the gins to help decorate them. Just a bag of sliced dried oranges! Disappointed as it was a 40th birthday gift for my son and he loves gin. The website did say alternatives would be provided, but would of thought they would have got closer than this.

Initially the gift was Poor, but It was rectified the same day that I complained. They explained their mistake clearly and sent a replacement. Never had a problem before, but I am pleased with how it was sorted out. Thank you.

I bought a box of tea. I'm fairly poor and it wasn't to drink, it was to give as a present. Unfortunately I hadn't guessed that the box would be quite... grocery-like on the outside? The box was also a little squashed from shipping in a bag rather than a box, and some leaves fell out when I opened it. I was disappointed with the presentation and shipping, even though the order smelled incredible.

Boxes were good but delivery was shocking. Even though the orders were placed in good time all four deliveries to different addresses were late and response to chasing emails was poor.

The food was really liked and it was an excellent present, but I the courier didn't deliver the parcel direct to the person it was ordered for. She lives in a block of flats and the courier delivered the parcel to an estate office, and didn't let me or her know, so she didn't get her present for her birthday. I would order the hamper/food package again, but not if they used the same courier to deliver it.

EXPENSIVE. 200g of cheese for £7, Less than a dozen pitta crisps for £1. If ordering from multiple suppliers the postage gets expensive. Would never have ordered from here were it not for the fact I received a gift voucher from my company. A site for people with more money than sense.

Presently I haven't opened & used my purchase as it was bought as a backup supply in case of pandemic/weather conditions preventing our access to our usual retail outlets. I can write a meaningful review when I have used the product.

Hi there, I'm so sorry your order arrived later than intended and that it missed the recipient's birthday. We were experiencing severe delays at the start of January after Christmas, when your order was placed, with the huge backlog of orders and delays with our couriers. Though I don't want to make excuses and I have now refunded you for the shipping cost of your order as it arrived late. Thanks for your feedback.

We placed 5 orders, total value >£160, for Christmas Gifts during December. Whilst the quality of the products were good, and appeared to be greatly appreciated by all recipients, BoroughBox disappointingly ignored requests "to deliver as close to Christmas as possible" and, in other instances (specifically WRT French Conte orders), the displayed delivery guidelines were misleading. BoroughBox state that "If you’ve had any problems... we are always here to help!" - well, 5 weeks later, we're still awaiting a response to our email of 09/12/20! We'd certainly think twice about ordering from BoroughBox again unless we were completely relaxed about when the items arrived (unlikely in the event that they are gifts).

I was a little disappointed, I had e-mailed you in November to ask about sell by dates but got no reply. I did purchase a box as a gift but when the present was opened on Christmas day the limes were yellow and didn't look at all nice.

Hello, we were happy with the product but there was quite a significant delay with the delivery. The hampers were due to arrive in time for a Christmas party for only 9 people but by the date of the party only 1 person had received their hamper. We did submit our order 2 weeks before hand. I undestand these things happen especially during COVID but I would have appreciated if someone reached out to provide a status of the delivery, we did not receive any email about our specific delivery.
