Waited in all day Thursday for delivery, nothing arrived nor a phone call. Eventually someone at store answered my 10th phone call. Informed me their computer had crashed last Saturday and they were unable to make deliveries, not able to explain more than that. As a result two seventy year olds have to suffer no chair to sit on. Still no contact as to what is happening, very keen to take our money but no customer interest at all. RUBBISH company warn others to avoid handing over your money to such a PATHETIC outfit. Would give zero star if I could

I ordered a bed in January 2021 it was meant to be delivered in March. March turned to April and April turned to May and then I got a delivery date for June. On the day of delivery, no sign of my bed (i have already got rid of my old bed). I called the Dartford store and no answer. I was hung up on when I did get through. Phoned the general number and told my order is not coming as their systems are down and they could not access my contact details to let me know. They also have no idea when everything will be up and running. Terrible service. I want my money back!!

I ordered 3+2 sofas with the three being power recliner. Was told 17 week delivery. It turned out to be 24weeks. The 2 seat sofa had bad creases in the leather at the front. I complained and took photos. I was contacted and was given the choice of £100 a repair or replacement. I opted for the replacement. I was told it would take 9 weeks. I received a call from customer services to say my replacement would be delivered yesterday and that I would be called on Tuesday to be given a 2 hour time slot and another call on Wednesday when the driver was 30 mins away. This would have made my delivery 10 weeks.I received no calls and no delivery. I tried to phone got message saying lines were down. I emailed no response and eventually got to talk to someone on live chat who told me he couldn’t access my account as the internet was down. When I asked how he was on live chat was informed live chat was provided as a service by another company.

No communication whatsoever from Furniture Village on my furniture which has been paid for in full, waiting in all day for delivery last Tuesday.Told on live chat all systems down unable to help.No idea of a delivery date.Kept on telephone hanging on for someone to answer. Could someone make a public announcement and please let customers know what exactly is happening and when your systems will be working again please.

No customer service nobody phones back lost my order paid a deposit no phones what a joke so I'm left in limbo can't get my order as nobody now's we're it is and can't get my money back as they have no phones

Having spent over three thousand pounds on furniture, I am absolutely disgusted and appalled in the poor and totally unacceptable aftersales/customer service from Furniture Village. Our powered reclining chair seat flattened within one year of use. I phoned Customer Services who passed me to the store where it was purchased, to be informed I needed to send photographs of the chair seating to another department. I sent the email three times and still received no reply. I rang the store several times, no one answerd and I left answer phone messages, again, no one returned my calls. I eventually got hold of a member of staff to whom I insisted that I spoke with the store Manager. The Manager informed me that I had to do the same as I had done previously, to which I informed him that this service was extremely poor and not what a paying customer should experience. The Manager then arranged for a technician to come and see the chair in person (this took two attempts, as the first time they did not keep to the arranged time). The Technician's report had mistakes, poor English, and grammar throughout. I rang the store again, left a message for the store Manger to ring me. Yet again, no phone call for days. Eventually the Manager did ring and said he would ring me again after he had read the technician's report within 48 hours. Another week elapsed, no phone call! I rang the store again and managed to speak to the store Manager, to whom I raised my strong concerns. I did eventually get a full refund on the chair. I informed the Manager that I wanted to make a formal complaint about FV and his appalling customer service attributes. He would not give me a name, number, or email address as he said it breached Data Protection. I will now be escalating my complaint with the Ombudsman. Reading the numerous other poor customer experience comments on this review site, is most concerning. I would hope that senior personnel read these comments at FV, feel embarrassed and address in rectifying the totally unacceptable customer service throughout all departments at FV. I will never set foot, or recommended FV to anyone.

Ordered a leather sofa from Furniture Village, after trying it out in the shop. Had to wait several weeks for it to arrive. The sofa that arrived was hard and uncomfortable, not at all like the one in the shop. Will not be buying from Furniture Village again, and would not recommend.

These are my sofas after three weeks and they think this is within tolerance lol. Cheap Chinese rubbish, avoid, avoid, avoid

Sent an email to the @ reviews team on 18th May 2021 rather than write a review in order to get resolution. Still no reply as of the 27th May so it’s now time to leave you a review. After reading lots of 1 star reviews it’s quite clear there is a issue with this company, and their customer care. I shall not even be phoning them, as the wait time is very long as pointed out by the many other reviewers. The simple conclusion is everything goes well up to the point they take your money, and then if there is a fault/ problem they put their head in the sand. If you like to be fobbed off, and ignored this is the company to buy from.

We bought an expensive rug from the new store in leicester it would take 2 weeks delivery it arrived left outside the house as they did not text to say it would be delivered’ It did not suit the room was to bright & to big “ so we contacted customer services to return it , they said it could not be returned! after about 3 days they said you loose 25% off the price plus £60 to fetch it back !! They didn’t tell us about the return policy also if you order online you get a full refund’ so don’t go in the store “Terrible company appalling customer service this is a on going dispute‘they have no right to cause so much stress & upset to good honest customers

Brought a 3 seated sofa and 1 chair we was told the waiting time for delivery would be around 3 months. Staff very friendly not pushy and sofa plus chair was delivery on time. No issues. Sofa is lovely and comfortable. Strange to see so many negative comments, however I guess most people are only willing to write negative experiences rather than any positive experiences.

Shocking quality - Do not buy from this company . After just a few months you will couches are flat and uncomfortable. Choose wisely and shop at DFS No one in the store mentioned we should expect the recliner sets to flat in comparison with rest of the couch. Substandard, poor quality products, rubbish customer service. They say there is nothing wrong with our couches but if we want to replace the seat interiors and kick plate we can at a cost to ourselves. Quite strange when they say there is nothing wrong.

I ordered a corner sofa which took over 6 months to be delivered. The sofa was not clicked together correctly from day one. An engineer was sent out who complained it was too large for one person so a month later along came two. In ten minutes he told me it was correctly fitted. When the sofa was still unstable I called furniture village in hove and spoke to the manager Gabriel. He asked me if I moved while the sofa was reclined. After I informed him that of course I would move the body naturally moves. He then informed me the movement could cause the sofa to unclip! Eventually he told me he would call me back. A week later after no phone call I called them and they agreed to come to my home to check. When he did he told me it was correctly fitted, so I crawled round the back and took a pic clearly showing the metal bits separated and not connected. He had the audacity to look at the pic and tell me no that’s correctly fitted. Okay at this point I was really starting to lose my call, you can’t argue with a picture surly? At this point he back away and said he would send round another engineer. Half hour later I get a email telling me there’s nothing more he can do as in his opinion it’s fitted together correctly. So I called a carpenter who came round and informed me that the sofa was only correctly fitted in one place. In fact when the so called manager fiddled with it he had left one side sitting o top of the metal pins and if anyone had sat there it could have seriously damaged the connector. It ended up costing me an additional £50, but so worth it. These guys are lovely when your shopping, can’t do enough for you for you to empty your money. Be careful as the Hove branch has zero after care customer service and the manage Gabriel is rude and uncaring. Never ever will I spend my money in this shop ever again.

I ordered a divan bed and mattress. The mattress is fine, but one half of the divan is the correct colour - grey, the other is brown and the headboard is blue!! I did not order a multicoloured bed. I find this appalling when, on ordering, I had to spend a considerable length of time checking the order with the sales person and signing to say that the order was what I wanted. What a pity that no checking obviously happens before goods are delivered. What is even more upsetting is, that despite contacting Furniture Village, I have yet to receive an email or a phone call apologising and explaining when I might expect the correct delivery. After reading the other reviews posted, I am not hopeful that the problem will be resolved soon. What a pity that I did not read these reviews before placing the order. I would advise potential customers to leave Furniture Village well alone if they want a reliable service.

All customers should start a Facebook page for furniture Village same as we ha e on sofology and Dfs. Section 75 if you have paid finance and ask for a refund if the goods are faulty! Also you can go to your credit card provider, small claims court. Do not except what these sofa companies are doing we pay a lot of money for sofas that are not for for purpose.

i had a sofa bed delivered on the Sunday 9th may 2021 it was the wrong colour they had send out the wrong sample i have send emails every other day i have been on live chat i tried to phone furniture village after 2 hours i had to put the phone down i couldn't afford to hold on any longer i live on state pension all i want is for someone to get back in touch with me i cant have my grandchildren over i am afraid they will mark the sofa i just don't know what i can do there has got to be someone who can help REFERENCE 8096DM228

I placed an online order. I as told it would be delivered in 7 days. Six weeks later still no delivery. I have paid in full. I tried live chat and was supposed to be transferred to another team but just got left hanging. Tried calling and was 39 in the queue! Sent an e mail a week ago and no reply. This is appalling customer service. Not even worth one star

Unfortunately their customer service is terrible. After placing an order on line, they debited my account but I was not able to contact them about delivery, etc. I have emailed them and not received a reply, and tried to call them twice, and waited over 50 mins and still not been able to speak to a sales person. I will never buy anything from them again. Very disappointed.

Appalling Customer Service & Experience I am 44 years old and all them years I do not think I have ever experienced such poor customer service from a mainstream company. I ordered a corner sofa and footstool and was sent the wrong footstool. I made Furniture Village aware and they ordered a replacement. The second one that arrived was the same as the original and the wrong one. 10 months later I am still awaiting my order!! I have no problem with people getting things wrong we are all human, it's the fact I am always the one chasing them and have to call and email. Never are Furniture Village proactive and call the customer to apologise and try and rectify the problems. Today it is 20th May and I am awaiting a call from a Manager since 29th April after I received a further broken promise I would receive a call within 5 working days. The customer service is appllaing and I would not recommend purchasing from them based on the customer experience. Their products are decent quality, but they do not seem to value their customers.

Bought a corner sofa from these nearly 2k and it's the most uncomfortable poorly made sofa ever and I feel like I've been robbed, trying to get assistance is a waste of time, never ever again
