BUYERS BEWARE Bought a Nicoletti leather electric recliner suite ( £5000 ) from the Southampton store, when it arrived one of the electric transformers were missing. Waited one month to get it, also found out that the USB system on the suite did not work and still doesn’t, the porcelain gliders which were fitted at an extra cost are still unable to allow me to move the chairs. Furniture Village sent out their independent inspectors( CASTELAN ) to review my complaints, the agent verbally agreed the furniture was not satisfactory and would write a report to FV. I have waited one year and still have not received a copy of this report, I have requested this on numerous occasions and was promised I would get it. I was sympathetic that the Store Manager ( Chris ) was extremely ill and due to this fact allowed the lack of response to drag on and on, recently found out that Chris had a brain tumour removed, his replacement store manager ( Garth ) stated that although Chris was seriously ill he should have dealt with the issue as he was still being paid during his illness. FV are now telling me that despite contacting Castelan they are unable to retrieve the original report. So I have a suite that was possibly manufactured badly. Furniture Village in my opinion is the worst company I have ever dealt with and seriously regret doing business with them.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I placed an order back in December for a high value item and so to ensure I made the correct decision I went in store to seek the advice from a sales advisor. I showed the sales advisor how I wanted the item to look in my home and they drew a diagram of how this would look, I therefore placed the order based upon their recommendation. At no point did the sales advisor advise that the item would look differently in my home when delivered. When the item was delivered it was quite clear that it did not match how I had shown the sales advisor and so I tried to make a complaint and have the item simply swapped. Upon contacting the store I received a rude, unhelpful and argumentative response from the store manager. I was offered a swap of the item at a further cost to me of over £100 which I considered unacceptable given the amount I had already spent in store. In light of the above, I raised the issue further with the CEO and once again was met with a rude and unhelpful response. I note other reviews with similar experiences when dealing with customer care. After this experience I would never use this company again and would urge others to reconsider purchasing from here also.

I had to have 2 replacement items - a 2 and a 3 seater. The original delivery had 2 problems in that the arm had come away from the 3 seater and and the 2 seater frame was broken. An external engineer confirmed the faults. The replacement had the foot rests catching on the power settee and an almighty 'thump' on it being lowered. The 2 seater frame was again broken. Again, an external engineer confirmed the faults. Reluctantly, I re-ordered and the latest furniture seems ok so far.... I am concerned buy the leather creasing on another review as I have this issue on the second set after only a few weeks. The delivery guys said this was a common fault and theer was not enough foam in the cushions ! To pay £5k for a 3 piece suite is not cheap and I expect high quality. Concerningly, for the delivery people to say this shows how common a problem this is. So, 3 separate deliveries at my time, faults galore. Not even a gesture of goodwill ! Come on FV, show your worth.....

Horrible experience with this street stall type of company, which has no values, no trust, and no control. if you want to be safe don't ever try to buy anything from this so-called furniture scam company. Placed an order during the black Friday sale, for a dining table, 3 chairs, a bench, and a sideboard. supposed to get these items by 15th Dec 2022. After selling me the item they sold to someone else, did not even bother to contact me, when contacted "we sold the item we don't have now", and contacted the CEO's office, got a reply in December that this issue would be resolved and then received a call from the High Wycombe Store that they will fulfill the order by 15th Jan. on 26th of Jan 2023 received a call from the delivery department, but shocked to know, they without my knowledge changed my order, items deleted from the order, tried to sort the issue but their company culture is so bad that don't care...... if you value your time and money, and don't want stress buy somewhere else, AVOID!

Nothing but problems! My mum spent almost £3500 on leather sofas… arrived and delivery man said they wouldn’t fit through the door (WITHOUT EVEN TRYING) . Then she was charged another £480 for them to “dismantle the sofa and rebuild inside her house “. After just a few weeks of use… sofa is sagging inwards and made a loud bang when my frail (7st) mum sat on it. Once again, called out technician… who toook off a panel underneath sofa and after 5 mins looking with a smsll camera inside, said everything is fine!!! Absolutely disgusting service and terrible quality products! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

Make sure everything is written on paper, don't rely on the information from the salesperson or email. I was told by the sales person that the sofas I bought will be delivered in 10 days, It wasn't and when I checked, they said it will need an extra 3 weeks more before it is delivered Misleading information, and very bad experience

Buyer beware!! Furniture Village will sell you faulty products which risk you and family’s safety. I purchased an ottoman bed in 2018, and one of the piston brackets sheared. Luckily no-one was underneath at the time. Warranty is for 10 years, but Furniture Village say pistons are only 2. They must be aware that the pistons do not have long life spans. They refuse to replace the faulty product. Please be careful with their ottoman beds!

Avoid they are cowboys. If you have a problem they will not want to know. They will blame you. Six month old sofa with cushions that do not support the leather and have collapsed. Sent loads of emails which they either dont answer or fob you off. I wouldn't buy from them again if you paid me. Small claims court is your only option with this bandit outfit.

Worst furniture buying experience ever! Like most other reviews , stay away from them! They make excuses to refuse cancelling items. Such waste of money. Paid for a rubbish side board home after made an impulsive decision in store. Very expensive lesson. Don’t even step into their store.

I ordered a sofa from Furniture Village over a year ago and have had nothing but problems. The original sofa got delivered in April 2022, however it had numerous defects and damage so we got sent a second sofa, this arrived in October but again had numerous defects and damage. Therefore after a lot of disappointment we decided to go for an alternative option. This alternative option is cheaper and I am therefore due a refund from them. I have been chasing up written confirmation from them of this refund since December. I have been calling or visiting the store every weekend and spending ages on the phone to the aftercare team, who just keep passing me around not really seeming to know what's going on. I have to explain the situation every Saturday to someone knew who again does not help me. They keep telling me my knew sofa is on order and due in March, despite me telling everyone I have spoken to I have not confirmed the order and won't until I have it in black and white what is owed back to me, I fail to understand why this is such an impossible request. The team in the Reading store were great, but have been let down massively by the aftercare team, as the service I have received from them has been beyond awful, time consuming and quite honestly painful, I have lost all faith and trust in furniture village and would now not recommend them to anyone, in fact i would actively tell people to avoid them. All I want is to have the money owed back to me in writing before I agree to anything.

What cowboy outfit, power unit on receiver chair accidentally damaged , that won’t replace in saying use Guardsman ins - they say it’s still under guarantee with Furn village- they say use Guarsman, both as useless as a used tea bag passing the buck. Now ordered in on Amazon- delivered next day, so goodbye Furniture Village - next shops to close I think.

We purchased 6 dining chairs from this company for delivery in Spring 2020. Within 2 and a half years the material at the join between backrest and seat start to open up. Within a further 3 months the material has split completely on 3 of the 6 chairs. Prior to this, within the first 12 months, a weld on one chair leg fractured causing the chair to become unstable and potentially dangerous. That was replaced under warranty. Only 2 of the chairs are in regular daily use and neither my wife nor I are big, heavy people. On taking this up with Furniture Village they directed me to Homeserve to have the chairs re-covered air my expense. The 3 chairs which have not split so far have probably only ever been used by our young grandchildren, so hardly surprising they remain intact. I believe that anyone should expect such items to survive for much longer than 3 years of careful use. In my experience, the goods this company sells are shoddy and poor quality. If you expect your furniture to last, avoid buying from Furniture Village.

We received our 2 sofas just before Christmas as we had moved back in to our house which was being redecorated. We had pre arranged for delivery of the sofas prior to Christmas. They arrived on 13th December 2022 but due to decorating and repairs being undertaken the delivery men left the sofas unpacked. The work was completed on 23rd December and we unpacked the sofas and found a small blemish on one of the seats. We reported this immediately and provided photos of the defect and received a call today from Furniture Village from a very unhelpful member of staff to say that as we did not unpacked the sofas within 7 days of delivery they will not replace the defective item. We explained as we did to the delivery men that we could not uncover the sofas as works were in progress. The representative offered to refund us £60 which is unacceptable given that the have delivered a faulty item of furniture. I asked if we could make a complaint but was advised that they do not have a complaints procedure in place. We have just spent over 5k with Furniture Village and will never purchase another item from them again unless this gets resolved. One very unhappy customer.

Very poor service i order a marble dining table, sofa set, 2 chairs, 1 bench, 1 Devan bed, head board and total was £10500 in june 2022. The deliver took more the 10 weeks ok understood. But only Devan bed was deliver and no mattress so i accepted just the devan. but with in few day i could see it was broken. And then mattress was delivered in 2 weeks. But since it was broken for 3 weeks i continue call customer service for the devan was collected and refunded. Also asked that the mattress is not needed anymore as it make no sense for me having just the mattress and not the bed. But the didn't acknowledge the problem. On calling again they are not ready to collect the mattress and asking me to pay for an individual inspection to be done for them to pay attention. Also the bench they send was not polished and the wood splinter in my palm while cleaning it was bleeding and was took 1 day for me to pull the leftover bit from 1.5cm long piece. I made a big mistake of ordering furniture from them.
