“Thankfully haven't had to contact BUDGET regarding a claim yet but the policy is very competitive and simple to access, and unlikely other insurers my renewal was a great price so didn't have to go around all the comparison sites like I've had to do for the last 20 years. Ideal 👍”

“I have insured my car with Budget for a few years now, and have always been happy with the price and ease to get my car legal. My renewal was on the 18th of January this year. My renewal quote was great so I went ahead and renewed. I was happy!! On the 31st of January I treated myself to a new car and called Budget to change my policy over to the new car. I was quoted £668 to make the change when I only renewed 2 weeks before for £180ish fully Comprehensive on my old car. The lady on the phone said the £668 was on top of the price I paid on the 18th January!!!!! So that would make my insurance £850ish for the year???!!! I declined the offer and decided to let the insurance run for the year on my old car, even though I don’t own it now. I went online and got my new car insured for £220 fully comprehensive for the year with the same perks as my old one but also legal cover. I then added my girlfriend to my policy and it only cost me an extra 61 pence!! I was happy with Budget but that cost to swap my policy made me go elsewhere. I found out after as well that Budget only give you no claims up to 9 years, I should have way more than that so I’ve missed out on those extra years as well. Sorry Budget but you lost a customer but I was happy while I was there!”

“Budget was very good when I had a car accident and recovery vehicle was with me very quickly. A bit of a wait with the underwriters making a decision on vehicle repair but it was a right of and the money was transferred to me very quickly. My renewal policy was very reasonable only two months after my claim. I was very pleased and happy to stay with Budget”

“To be honest I am reluctant to give this company two stars as many other customers have mentioned they will take your money very quickly but if your due money back you have no chance. My wife had a car insured with them, she sold the car and asked for a refund on the insurance paid out, first they changed a £60 admin fee for this service then they said they would transfer the £30 owing to our account, this didn’t happen, rang again cheque in the post didn’t happen, so last resort got in touch with the financial regulator. Sometimes you get what you pay for !!!!”
