Gave me a score of 68 for the year which was rated as good, then re quoted me with the same price for renewal. This was with a good score an extra years no claims and therefore being a year older and having my license an extra year this was disappointing to say I was being offered quotes from elsewhere without a black box for almost half the price.

Hi, I am sorry to hear we didn't come in as cheap as you would have liked. The scores are rated out of 100, so it would agreeable that 68 is a reasonably good score. However, there may be other factors that need to be taken into account when the renewal price is calculated, which could have caused the renewal to stay at the same price.? ~Connor

Box was easy to install and the app is easy to use. It's good to monitor your driving as you can then take action if there are any errors.

Very critical black box. I'm a safe driver and found myself constantly battling to keep my score from falling below the minimum number required for them to revoke my insurance. It was not worth the stress. If you drive over the speed limit to over take a car you will be penalized for speeding. If you have a job that results in you commuting after 10pm DO NOT bother using this black box as your score will deteriorate quickly. One harsh break and your score falls 25%. Honestly I'm so glad this year is up, I felt set up to fail from the beginning.

I am sorry to see you are unhappy. We heavily weight the time of day score as statistics show you are much more likely to have an accident at night. I apologise if our scoring system was not communicated clearly to you prior the point of sale. ~Connor

Ensure your staff act on telephone requests and confirm quotations with attention to detail. After 3 years you have lost my business due to poor attention to detail and no record of a telephone conversation confirming my renewal notice details!

I have been with Hasting Smart Miles for 3 years now and I do love their reduced premiums when I have been driving good. Unfortunately, I have never been notified that for an extra ?35 I can protect my No Claims Bonus- which I would have done! The customer service agent stated it could not be added on after renewal, I only renewed 2 and a half weeks ago? I do not see why this cannot be added on at any time..

I had a really helpful experience when I came to renew my insurance. I had a few changes to make and nothing was too much trouble. I think the advisor I spoke to was called Ollie and he was so helpful!

If u buy a new car you have to pay for another box why not use the same one from before. Oh and the discount only applies to the same car, if after a year you changed ur car the quote changes significantly...

The smart miles box is a good tool to keep up to date with how good my driving is. Also like that an email came through to notify me as to how much renewal would be and when. Possibly the box could do more in terms of telling me how economical my driving is etc.

I think the whole point system is a bit of a joke, i?ve struggled to get above 50, however my score when i was ready for renewal was 52 and it made my renewal price literally half of what i paid in my first year, baring in mind it was my first year on my own name, so i?ve continued my second year with smartmiles due to it being my cheapest option, although the score may be unreasonable the price is definitely worth it

Hi there, I'm sorry that you found the "points system" a struggle but as you have found out the higher your diving behaviour score the more discount you receive at renewal. Having your policy reduce by half is a testament to your good driving so well done. - Jamie

The girl I spoke to on the phone was absolutely lovely and really friendly! No questions were too much and she was really helpful in helping me renew and adjust my policy.

I would like to see your app and car device that's sits on your battery connected to your car. Your app device needs to update quicker than before not 60 miles. It should be updated every 10 miles and have a better system that dedecteds better moment with the car plus show more information on break and eceloration as well.
