From first taking out the policy and being advised of the correct policy and fitting the box (which was straight forward) I have no complaints whatsoever. Also for this years renewl policy was an absolute pleasant surprise with the reduction in cost and again happy to have the box fitted for another year

Never had a single point for breaking in 8 months. 92% for acceleration and 80% for speeding so doesn't make sense that i'd be breaking hard all the time. Hastings say there can't be anything wrong with the box as the breaking and acceleration are controlled by the same part inside the box and therefore if the acceleration works then the breaking must too. Yes I just accelerate up to the speed limit then break hard to make journeys more interesting 😕

I keep getting emails off them saying my driving score is too low and that they're going to terminate my insurance because of my working shift where i have to drive into work at unsociable hours. wish i never got the black box insurance with them and wont be renewing with them that's for sure.

Always helpful and the installation of the smart miles box has saved me ?s.Why pay more for your car insurance if you are a careful and safe driver? If you are a careful driver then I cannot recommend Hastings Direct Smartmiles enough.Don't pay more for your car insurance, only to pay for other careless drivers?.

A great idea and well executed. I like the easy graphic - although the 10.00pm curfew is overly restricting.

The policy is sold on the premise that if you drive safely you'll be rewarded with a cheaper policy at renewal, but despite meeting that criteria my policy cost went up significantly instead of down. When I complained I was told I couldn't speak to the firm direct to query that and get a fairer quote.

I rang and it took me 3 conversations before getting the right department and that was I only to renew the policy

I have just renewed my insurance. I now have one full years no claims bonus. No real issues apart from braking score is at 0 and it won?t move! Overall score is at 67. Very happy with service. Any problems and help at hand. Very polite and easy to to talk to. Well done and thank you Hastings - it really has been a pleasure!
