This is my second year with Hastings Direct SmartMiles and the first time, in a long time, that I?ve autorenewed my car insurance. From price, to box installation, the easy to use Dashboard and email communication, I have been nothing but impressed with the quality of service. Highly recommended.

I tried to cancel my policy and still you took a premium of my account. I no longer own the car but paid ?56 insurance for it - direct debit is now cancelled from my bank however this has left a bad taste.

I am sorry to hear you are dissatisfied. We charge our cancellation fees to cover the costs of administration and try to communicate these clearly at the point of sale. Details can be found in your T&C's. ~Connor

When renawal was sent had wrong driving score on took 6 days to sort it out and with a increase in score the price when up too. Then adviser just told me to go to a different company.

We were very pleased with the price for my sons second year of driving. His insurance was halved. Hastings direct are easy to reach on the hone and the staff are very helpful.

Pleased with the efficiency of renewing my policy but still can't get into the part where I can see how my driving is doing. Had a couple of passwords but neither worked.

I would highly recommend hastings direct smartmiles! It enabled me to monitor my driving scores throughout the year, and having scored 80/100 overall, I received a huge discount at renewal. This score brought my insurance down from ?1200 in my first year, to just ?495 in my second year! I didn't expect this much saving at all!

Very poor, takes over 10 minutes to talk to someone, then cuts off & then when you do finally speak to someone they are rude & don?t want to make any effort to help you.. or actually listen to what your saying & talk over you half the time.. Not all staff but most. If it wasn?t for Megan (manager) for being so helpful & understanding then I wouldn?t of stayed. Thankyou Megan

Yes as happy with the annual renewal premium and is considerably less than other insurers quoting through price comparison sites , Hastings was more than ?100 lower than other providers which I?m very pleased about , it had saved me changing and getting another telematics box installed.

spoke to customer services prior to renewal, handled very efficiently and the operative fully understood my requirements and expedited them efficiently.
