Really poor, said that I was doing three times the speed limit in conditions it was impossible to achieve. After they threatened to take a ?230 cancellation fee for excessive speeding, I called and they said that I was doing that speed and would just have to accept that. Put in a complaint and never heard anything back, as well as refusing to provide any other details of the speeding event other than the max speed achieved.

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! Only 1 star as no star is not an option. I cannot believe in our country a company Hastings Direct Smart miles can get away with operating this wa, it surely has to be fraudulent. I have paid them £891 for insurance and after just 6 weeks they are cancelling it due to black box data and have offered a refund of just £471. This company should be investigated by the insurance ombudsman. I will certainly put the facts to the ombudsman so they can see what's going on.

I have never been able to use my black box app to see how I am getting on and they only contact me when they want me to give them more money

They were very quick to mark you down but very slow bringing your score back up after driving for so long.

I do not think they go through the benefits and drawbacks of the system sufficiently. In the event I cancelled because it was not right for me. I have yet to receive my refund.

I found you via Compare the market.com but needed to discuss in person some questions I had about cover. Your team were excellent and I took the cover out confident it was the right choice. Had a slight miscommunication with regard to the name on my direct debit for the finance company to pay in installments but am happy now resolved following email communication.

I have completed, signed and returned the direct debit form which has been acknowledged by email. However, there is still no sign of the smart miles box! I am now concerned my cover will be cancelled since the box is not yet fitted. Please advise.
