I insured a car with them online through Quotezone. When I got the statement of particulars several entries in this had been altered. I contacted them and told them. They said not to worry, they would advise the insurance company and also try to get me a better quote. They did not offer any explanation as to why my details had been altered. A week later they called and the insurance had gone up from GB|P 240 to GBP 740!! I told them to cancel the insurance, however I am still waiting for a refund. I have checked several other online quotes since and Bewiser sometimes are half the next most expensive. It appears they are modifying your details to get a lower quote so you pick them. Then they increase the price if you pick this up,

Purchased insurance for my 19 year son, fully comprehensive thinking this was the best option. Not worth the paper its written on for him. had an incident involving no other vehicle or damage to property, only his car... it would have cost him more to claim than to buy another car. Feel mislead, discretely hidden cost extra's and no up front honest explanation. They may give you the the "legally" required information, but not the actual impact on the individual. Voluntary excess pointless! You get cheap insurance because you get cheap customer service.

I had a quote from them which i decided to accept, they took the money from my account, then rang me an said they couldnt insure me and still havent refunded my money. Ive phoned them twice to be told ill have to wait, which means i dont have the funds to go with another company and im without a vehicle.

Do not insure with this company I moved 9 miles and told them of the change. They doubled my premium. My 17 year old son was paying less for his car than me at the same address. I asked how they can justify it. No answer so now they've employed bully boy debt collectors to harass me because I changed my policy to a company that isn't ripping me off. Do not use be wiser! I'm going to be very vocal on social media about them to lose them as much business as possible as they are making my life a misery

Quoted me £10151 for a year's insurance for an 11 year old car!! Beyond ludicrous. Who on earth would take out a £10k policy on a car worth £800??!!

Disgraceful service. As,they have decided to cancel a fully paid policy, that was paid in full well before,it should have been. And refuse to answer any emails regarding this matter. Ombudsman for them.

from day one last year they continually got policy schedule with wrong details,got a phone call for renewal 3 weeks ago ,up over 50% when i told them i would not renew and look elsewhere bloke was rude,l never received any renewal documents to confirm new price and no claims entitlement.absolutely useless company(broker),quoted direct with existing insurance AXA AND WAS £200 POUNDS CHEAPER THAN BE WISER quote

Beware if you get quotes through a compare site....insure wiser will call you and try and sell you your cheapest quote for more money!!!! They tried to add £100 to my cheapest quote by giving me a managers special deal. Must be illegal, and if they play games like that when your signing up with them, what are they like if you need to claim?.... dont touch them.

They charged 600 pounds for a policy for a person with a provisional licence. At no point did they tell us the policy would automatically be cancelled when she had passed her test. Then they quoted 1700 to replace it and told me my refund after five months of a policy which cost 600 pounds was 40 pounds. They are sharks and liars

They lied about the cover on my car and left me uninsured for 2 weeks. Then they tried to hard sell me motorcycle insurance. The rudest most aggressive insurance company I have ever had the mispleasure of dealing with. Avoid at all costs

got a quote, paid deposit, received an email saying i had been declined and they had tried to contact me several times (they hadnt) i contacted asking why as i have been driving 18 years, no claims and no issues, they had no answer - stated money had been refunded (it hasnt) i can not take out another policy as they currently have my funds required to do this, insurance required for the morning so will look forward to calling these clowns again bright an early

Have spent hours sat on hold for customer services, call back requests have not happened even though promised within 24 hours. Emails have not been answered. Cut off when the time had elapsed passed 7pm despite having been on hold for over 30 mins. Only got through to someone to help when I asked to be put through to cancellations! But even then the response they sent me did not answer the question...currently on hold again having been told a couple of minutes wait currently been waiting 20mins! Customer Services very poor dread to think how it would be if I needed to make a claim! Will not be renewing and would recommend avoiding like the plague!

Avoid like the plaque. Told me insurance company wants to can my policy after 3 months insurance. Paid in full, no accidents or claims. Asked for reason, never answered saying it's up to Be Wiser to find me another policy, yeah at a price and start again with another 12 month policy. so they can charge their high fees. Mirrored 9 years no claims seems very much like the same stories on here. Think they do this to upset people so that the insured cancel their own policy so Be Wiser can charge you a cancellation fee. Don't fall into the traps, Get intouch directly with the insurance company and onbudsman. Insurance companies cannot cancel your insurance for no reason at all. They have entered into a 12 month contract with you and as long as you have provided all the necessary paper work and answered all the questions truthfully they cannot cancel. I have been driving for over 35 years & never had a policy cancelled. To me Be Wiser are out to con people - Like I said Avoid like the Plaque - worst broker I have come across

Fraudulantely used my credit card and when I contacted them about it they gave me the run around. Have left with the police and will be reporting to gocompare. Avoid bewiser at all costs.

If there was no stars I would award them this. Scam - do not believe anything they say and ensure you get everything in an email. They told me I had 9 years no claim discount as I have been driving for so many years. I explained that I had not been insured for years as I lived in London without a car. They told me no problem they were giving me the discount and not to worry. Absolutely terrible company. AVOID AVOID AVOID, AS THEY SAY PAY CHEAP PAY TWICE!

This company does not honour the quotes it takes payment for through go compare. I paid in full for a policy (£1200) and was then asked to provide supporting documents. After providing these they then told me that the policy would cost £2100. This was not because of the documents but because of an accident I had already declared on go compare when I got the initial quote. Customer service representative told me that they don't take all the information into account on Go compare when giving a quote. So basically they ignored the accident when giving me the initial quote and then tried to charge me more by taking the accident into account afterwards. I just told them to keep there crap policy and took a full refund.

really i will look elsewhere if i were you , tried to get a quote from them when i tried to change my car , but then ended not getting a car , online i got quote , then they told me i had to call , then quote went up by 45%, when i got the certificate it wasnt valid until like 15 hours later where i needed it to start at that moment so i can pick up the car, they told me they can only do it if they add £20 admin fee, so monthly fee went up from £70 to £134, and they took £132 deposit , so i cancelled it everything and they said i should get it back within 10 days , 10 days passed and got nothing back so called back, been put on hold for ages , to be told that they just got the money back from the insurer , and it should be processed between 3 to 5 working days , what absolute rip off grrrrrr

BEWISER - SPEND A FEW QUID MORE AND GET A PROPER INSURANCE COMPANY .Was involved in an accident two months ago with a coach company, having only had the policy for two weeks. Third party accepted immediate responsibility and Bewiser had no involvement with the claim, and understandably weren't interested or needed (though they were later very interested when it came to withholding my premium). Within two weeks the third party had paid out for my car & compensated me for injuries. Spent a fortune on calls to Bewiser to have the policy refunded (I say this with fingers crossed). They have everything they need & still no refund, they're also refunding (hopefully) only 50% of my premium FOR 2 WEEKS OF INSURANCE. ....IM STILL WAITING WEEKS LATER, and was told they don't know when ill be eventually refunded. Joke of an experience. Staff don't know what they're talking about and assume you have no knowledge of how the insurance industry works (despite my family actually having owned one), so that they can spout their lies about how they are "entitled" to keep hold of your money. Legal advice, and my own knowledge has shown this to be to the contrary, not that they were interested and hung up. In my case its apparently due to an ongoing claim. 1 - I did not make any claim anywhere, the 3rd party paid me out in cash within two weeks. 2 - There was no injury claim for the same reason. YOU HAD NO INVOLVEMENT WHATSOEVER. YOU ONLY EVEN KNEW AS I WAS HONEST AND TOLD YOU. Bewiser had absolutely no involvement in my case, and weren't even interested. I will be contacting the Ombudsman and possibly pursuing legal action against these bungling frauds. UPDATE. Following a Trustpilot review they responded that they would "escalate" my complaint. STILL NO CONTACT. Not that I'm surprised. Beginning to think I've actually been conned out of over £300. Having read other reviews on this and other sites, its certainly looking that way. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, DONT BE TEMPTED BY THEIR CHEAP PRICES, YOU ARE ASKING FOR TROUBLE IF YOU EVER MAKE A CLAIM (OR NOT ) IN MY CASE.
