Bought a car insurance worth of £1823.52 last month. After 28 days, I had to reject the car insured to the motor trader as it has several faults. Called to cancel my policy with Be Wiser and boom: I have to pay nearly £900 to have it canceled (paid a deposit of £392.62, one payment of £200.74 and now they demanding another nearly £300). Some amounts are in the cancellation policy but they are demanding 10% on "lose interest" which is nowhere in the policy. I definitely was NOT WISE when purchased this policy and even if some term are in the policy HOW CAN YOU CHARGE £900 FOR A 30 DAY POLICY???????? Be wise, read the T&C carefully and try to avoid them!!!

Miss selling and incompetence, cancelled policy beware !!!!!!! Today 05/08/16 Be wiser customer services contacted me re complaint below. They have offered no solution to the problem and have still not refunded the monies taken from my bank account for the now cancelled insurance. Also mysteriously they do not believe my version of events because they claim to be unable to find recording of their salesman miss selling me the insurance. I wouls strongly advise anybody wishing to insure with Be wiser to seriously look elsewhere due to their sales based incompetent salesmen who are only after commission on sales and will do what ever it takes to make a sale, even if they have no idea what they are doing. Be wiser of course will subsequently just cancel your insurance like it is nothing. Complaint with insurance ombudsman and watchdog ???? Be warned. Copied below brief description of complaint and copied letter sent to 3 of the directors, as expected no reply or acknowledgement has been received. However they have subsequently cancelled my policy !!!!!! Miss selling and incompetence quote a price which was agreed and then up it by £280.00 with a pay up or else attitude... Rogue traders beware. Dear Mr XXXXXXXXXXX With reference to the above reference and policy. I have just had the misfortune of dealing with the most unprofessional organisation ever, this being Be Wiser insurance. I contacted your company for a quote for my van insurance and answered all the questions honestly to your sales man. Because your premium was coming out dearer than other quotes I had received due to me having no NCD your salesman then suggested my wife be added to the policy whereby I would be allowed her NCD of 9 years even though it was used on another vehicle. This meant that you price became very competitive and I duly accepted his price and accepted the insurance. I then paid £104.43 towards the policy and all was good. I then received an email letter saying that because of an error my insurance was going to be cancelled unless I contact you immediately. I then spent the next couple of days trying to address the situation. It transpires that your sales man was unable to allow the NCD from my wife which is surely incompetence or lack of product knowledge on behalf of him and subsequently your company. And because of this it put the premium up by approx £280.00 and unless I paid the extra £280.00 my insurance would be cancelled. All your customer service dept/ sales dept keep telling me is that incorrect information was given. I agree it was but not by me !!!! It was by your incompetent sales man... Like you I have been in business for 30 + years dealing with contracts and prices on a daily basis. And know that a contract being a legal binding agreement is binding on both parties. However your company appears to think that they can just cancel my insurance over your companies incompetence !!!! I have tried dealing with your company speaking with 4 customer service and manager grade staff and managed to get nowhere. If your company had originally quoted me the premium £280.00 higher than you did I would never have gone with you in the first place. This has to be miss selling on the highest order. As of 09.44 today 27/07/16 I find myself without insurance due to being given 2 options 1 pay up or 2 we cancel ??? Before I make this public or take the matter to the insurance ombudsman and talk to our solicitor re this sorry affair I thought I would get your view on the matter.

Be wiser??? more like be ripped off This company adds charges and interest on your policy which it doesn't tell you about an insurance quote with 4 years no claims started out at 54 pounds per month then because I was a month under my four years and told them about it they stated it would go up to 76 pounds a month looked at my quarterly statement to find the direct debits are 90.00 a month due to interest charges. This company may look great on compare sites you have to ring them to take out insurance and the price on the compare sites is not what you get quoted on the phone charges for this charges for that attitudes that need addressing its hard enough to get insurance at the best rate but to be blatantly ripped off is a you get with these jokers AVOID!!!!!!!!

Given quote of £456.79 when rung up as there site was down (conveniently) the quote number could not be found and then my quote was £1458, Scammers do not use. I have since reported this to the Ombudsman as i believe this call Bait and Hook. (legal term). Also Christian and Andy both rude and very unprofessional. my quote number was S944FA61B1

Avoid them at all costs. They are scammers. They will give you a quote with everything included like No Cliam Protection, Legal Fees, Road Side Assistance . On the final policy you will find everything they promised on the 1st quotation have been withdrawn and the premium is much much higher than what they quoted. You will find it the wrong way once you are involved in an accidents that your NCB was not protected

Waiting 6 weeks for them to fully respond to my concerns about the breakdown policy they sold me. They know that I due to travel abroad 28 June and that I am not correctly covered yet they bury their heads inn the sand. The worst customer relations I have ever experienced. Avoid them or use them at your peril

I had fully comp with bewiser for years including breakdown cover with loan car if u was to break down and payed them thousands of pounds and never made a single claim but a few weeks ago my car completely died on me over a hundred miles from home with my dissabled wife, my dissabled son and my twin boys. When I contacted bewiser they said I couldn't have a loan car or get my car towed home and in terms of me making a claim for my car being dead I wasn't able to even tho I was fully comp. this company are a bunch of con artist and I would recommend that no one takes out insurance with them and any one that has insurance with them to change there insurance company before these conning BA###RDS rip you off to.

A year ago I used Be Wiser and all was fine this year it was and still is a total disaster I would not recommend anybody even thinking of using them. They are like a different company from the year before. It started with e-mails asking me to renew my insurance which carried on after I had done so and then with requests for copies of driving licences including the paper copy and access codes for them to check with the DVLA. I sent them by return and then they asked again ( different name ) I sent them by return and then they asked again ( different name ) I sent them in the post and they said they had not received them they started to threaten to cancel my insurance , I sent them again. I tried to phone it was really hard to get answered one person just told me to hang on and then cut me off another just shouted that she could not hear me ( whilst laughing ) and then she cut me off . I sent the details again but they said they had not received them and then whilst I was driving they sent me an e-mail telling me they were going to cancel my insurance in four hours. I got home in time to actually speak to somebody and I sent next morning again all the docs. It still carries on today though since although I have sent them two access codes for the DVLA for my licence check and so has the other named driver they claim her code does not work and or is expired. The DVLA say they last 21 days and are fed up with her calling them for new ones and be-wiser say they only last 12 hours so they expire too fast for them to check them! but even if true they have had 2 on each of us and how long does it take them to answer their e-mails! So no doubt I will have another urgent action needed threat of cancellation notice today because her last reply was yesterday and it goes on and on! If I would not be penalised I would cancel and start again with another broker. Unless you are looking for unpaid hours of work and grief do not even consider using these people.

i have been with my insurance company for 17 years never made a claim ? So my insurance is due for renewal so I go to the go compare website and chose not the cheapest company which was BE WISER so I fill out all my details stating I only have one years no claims bonus reason being the insurance I have had for many years was a trade policy which you don't gaver no claims ? So the on line quote with go compare ie be wiser was £414 but if I phone there sales I will get 5% discount too so I phone and speak to a guy call Anthony I give him my reference num and he come back with a quote of £560 ? I tell him online I was quoted £414 I then say I will give it a miss he then says let me speak to my manger hold the line then he comes back on the line good new it's your lucky day my manger says we can do for £414 plus for the inconvenience we will give your rac home start worth £69 for free thanks very much here are my credit card details I pay in full . Then I get a email a policy NO RAC HOME START ? Then to grab my money when I said they were to expensive to bring my policy down from £560 to £414 guess how he did it was not going to his manger but by saying I have 9 years no claims this is all over the web on how they trick people into this trap in get in there premium down BE WARNED ????? Now next phone them back right away now all you get is hold the line phone goes dead sorry lines are busy ? Or you get passed from department to department I have spoke to Dave sue Anthony merry John tony Laura Hellen Steve lovely people soon as you say the word I want to cancel my policy the phone goes dead ? So now I have a policy which is not valid ? And they have my money still ? So now I go back to my origanal company and pay them a year up front no probs . Now I get through to be wiser and cancel my policy from the 22 of this month they said they will charge me a £75 cancelation fee ? They miss sold me the policy ? The the remainder of my refund £339 will be back in my account in 3 working days still not recived it luckily I have funds to cover my self. I just feel so sorry for the young kids and older people this company BE WISER are miss selling products too KEEP CLEAR TELL YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS my next step if I don't see my refund In the next couple of days will be contacting the FCA financial conduct authority's ect ect

had choice a cheap insurance for a cheap customer service! My dad bought a car on 14 Nov, he ask me to help him in order to get a cheap car insurance. I went online and bough Bewiser car insurance with a monthly payments of £57 and £142 deposit! After completion of insurance was taking place, we received a letter with my dad's surname spelt wrong (they have add an "y" to the end of surname) and we had to sign the Credit Agreement and this needs to be sent back in 14 days. Today 23 Nov, my dad got 2 emails confirming that his policy was cancelled without any reson mentioned in the letter and any refunds will be returned in 60 days! A number was providet (7 pence per minute), I have called that number and I have spoked with a very rude lady which she was engaged with an other coversarion when she answer as she was loughping and giggling. I didn't said anything about this and I tought I will or polite and get the answers I need. I have give my dad details (she didn't ask for his permission) and then she put me on hold probably to continue with the conversation, she get back to me after 1 or 2 minutes, confirming that the policy it was cancel on 22 Nov, as Dad didn't call back to confirm details of the policy. In all this time my dad didn't get any phone calls or emails as I have checked his mailbox also he went out of town working as lorry driver and I am sure that he had no internet connection in some areas. When I explain this to this very rude person she replied that is not her problem that we didn't confirm details with in 7 days. As far as I know this should be 7 working days so we have start policy on 14 Nov(sat) policy was canceled on 22 Nov this means 5 working days. I have explain that we received a letter and Credit Agreement should be sent back in 14 days, she explains that is no part of policy and is part of Direct Debit details. Another bad thing is that policy was canceled on 22 Nov, and dad received an email about 5 o'clcok today also a letter attached on 23 Nov, and he was driving the car without policy and without knowing that his car insurance was canceled. This very rude lady she also explain the she only could refund half of the deposit of £71 and there is nothing we can do to put policy back. I have try to explain the they have done a mistake to my dad surname and again she said that they will never touch details on policy(checking previous feedbak this is a constantly issue with this company) I will never spell my Dad wrong after it was my surname for 24y before I get married. So all in once, cheap car insurance, cheap customer service, cheap cheap cheap and rude employers. I will never recomand this company. A further complain will longed as dad drove for a day without knowing that policy was canceled and no enough time giving or letter sent by post to confirm days details. Be wiser and go with a another company!

Insure Wiser came up as the cheapest quote including breakdown cover on a comparison site so we took out the insurance online. We were then called by Insure Wiser to tell us that they could do it cheaper but it was actually nearly twice the original price quoted they refuse to change this amount or honour the original insurance quote. So despite all the information being correct on the original quote so we had to go to another insurance broker. My advice is Be Wiser and shop elsewhere for your car insurance.

Similar to the review below, I had a terrible experience with Bewiser. They made a mistake with no claims which resulted in having to cancel the insurance. Attitude of their staff was awful, seemed to go out of their way to be obstructive and unhelpful.

I already have house insurance through BeWiser, and when we bought s weekend home, thought it would be easier for me to use the same company. But no - I was interrupted while filling out a form on their website and they have called me 12 times in the last 2 days (I have been in back to back meetings while travelling). Then I went online this morning and filled out the full form, including (and I remember this very clearly) that we moved to the UK 2 years ago. They quoted, I paid the full amount, and done I thought. Keep in mind I am an existing customer of BeWiser. More phone calls, two texts and snd ail for them today to confirm the information. They said in the phone 'and you were born in the UK, and I said no, as I said on the form this morning, moved here in 2013, and I'm an existing customer, so you should know that'. Now they want £80 more for a foreigner tax. So I said I won't take the insurance, thanks. And now they are charging me £25 for the privilege of the account setup and all of their calls. I can't believe I've wasted my time.
