“Only 3 stars (acceptable) because when accessing the Policy Documents via the MCE portal the file names used are poor i.e. "ow-E-CoveringletterNB" ... why not simply "MCE Welcome Letter"? Another e.g. "policy schedules.pdf" means what? Insurance policy or breakdown policy? Anyway this file consisted of one blank page! Attention to admin detail could be more professional. Presently confusing and sloppy.”

“Giving out late fees on the day the payment didn't come out, even though I told them the payment date I wanted to go ahead with as I didn't get paid on the day they took it, lied and said I never asked this. Extortionate prices and very rude chavvy telephone advisors AVOID”

“Price has massively increased from last year. The guy I spoke to on the phone was rattling through everything so fast I had to ask him to stop or slow down. Seemly over keen to get my money and too quick to run through the policy at lightning speed. Was still getting calls even after I reinsured with them. Probably think twice about going with them next year.”

“I was quoted £528 for 3rd party fire and theft for a 125cc Scooter valued at £1500 . Once I told MCE I could get it elsewhere for £328 they immediately matched that price ! It looks like they quoted me an over inflated price in the hope that I accepted the quote , totally unprofessional and unacceptable behavior . I also had courier insurance with them which I cancelled even though I had paid for the year and still had 3 months to run they wouldn't return any funds to me , I will now go elsewhere .”

“MCE came in with a better quote for insurance but then i was bombarded with calls to take out the policy (which i eventually did) but then i was called by them asking me for more money to ensure i only pay half of my excess should i have a claim! (this facility should be made available upon compiling the original estimate, and not being chased 'after' the policy had been taken out) I said i went with MCE as they were cheaper than my renewal quote and i might as well of stayed with my existing insurer if i was to pay more money to them. Suffice to say i will not be renewing with them at the end of this policy!”

“Good customer service, competitive price. Overall good value for money! However, the the comparison websites I used (moneysupermarket and go compare) was showing the quote at £142 and when I actually called to renew my insurance, MCE quoted me £215! This needs to be looked at. I appreciate this is likely the fault of the comparison sites. Thank you again MCE”

“I have been with MCE Insurance with my motorbike foe a few years now, and was very pleased to see that my renewal this year had only gone up by about £5. last year I had a puncture on my rear tyre whilst out riding, I tried local firms as I was not that far from home but no joy. I phoned MCE and had recovery there in about 40 minutes I was impressed, Thank you. David Groves FX53GCU”
