“Worse insurance company ever... Poor customer service. Everything is directed not towards the customer. No possibility of agreeing to terminate earlier, you will lost all you money... The initial insurance price is small, but in the end you will pay a lot. I really don’t recommend it.”

“Insured my bike online, websites a bit clunky and when entering card details it timed out so had to enter details again and I then found it took payment twice. Spent best part of an hour waiting for someone to answer the phone to help me out. The spirit crushing recorded messages suggested live chat as an alternative which I tried whilst waiting on the phone but no-one replied and message told me to try again later. Still waiting for the refund of the double payment, will set Visa on them if I have to. Not a good experience so far, did far better same day insuring my other bike with Swinton.”

“I was a customer and tried to renew online after 21:00 last week. all my details were the same but it had lapsed by 24hours. Been riding for over 30 years and never a claim or conviction. Wouldn't let me continue on line so had to phone them next day with the reference number (08400 number) when I got through the guy said I had to give him all the details again over the phone as the ref number was no good to him. He told me it was going to be £20 more than the online quote, I said why? he said because the month I bought my bike 10years ago was April on the online quote and I had said to him it was June over the phone. I told him to stick it and went elsewhere only to find I had an expensive 6 minuet phone call, BEWERE ITS AN 08400 PREMIUM NUMBER. Thats why they wanted me to phone”

“Avoid MCE at all cost. Because I have change my debit card and I thought they collect the insurance by direct debit like all decent businesses, they are trying to charge me over 110% penalty on a single payment, this is absolutely ridiculous. Customer service is also rude and unprofessional and act on a very unorganized manner. They live with charges that they extort from customers not from the insurance business. They are legal bullies! Do not buy anything from MCE Insurance no matter how cheap it is.”

“Had nothing but trouble trying to pay for my insurance online (failed about 3 times after having to fill in all of the details each time). And then when I rang, was on hold for 20 minutes before I decided to hang up. However, the online chat was answered instantly and a call back was arranged. Once I received the call and paid over the phone, the transaction went quickly and without any delays. Good price as well. Only marked down for all the fooking about I had to do in the first place, but the rest of the service was great.”

“Easy process. Finding insurance for my electric moped was proving challenging. MCE covered it without issue. The only tricky bit was supplying driving license details, via the app. Took a bit of trial and error. Some clearer instructions would be useful. Price was not bad and coverage was as required. Overall, decent service.”

“Brilliant Customer service can not fault them. Always explain everything even though I like to double check stuff with them before I buy the insurance. Always the cheapest insurance. If the inevitable happens during your insurance they help you all the way through.”

“Great price and easy to set up online. Only criticism is the renewal process, there's no auto renewal and the system forces you to re-enter all of your information rather than using the info you gave the year before”

“I hope the insurance is better than the way they treat perspective customers. The sales number is a premium rate number which they put on a waiting queue and don't answer. I did email customer services to say it was outrageous, I've had no reply. How good is the insurance, I hope I never find out, but my hopes are not up”
