Had a claim took over a year to sort and other persons insurer cannot get hold of them for payment I thought that's what I payed the policy off for! Now I have got to pay and mce are not doing a thing and solicitors and court cannot get hold of them either. Never again with mce worst insurers ever!

got a theft claim, they valued my motorbike for £900.00 while it worth £3,000.00, they told me to go online and find examples for similar price I proposed, I did and they re-valued the bike to £3,000.00 as it should be, ended up having only £300.00 for it, claim took 6 months to be sorted, they wanted to cancel my policy, I said on the first day I am parking my bike on a public motorbike bay, they didn't believe me and didn't have this in their records, they had to go back to hear my saved telephone conversation with them on the 1st day and they couldn't fake it this time, I was correct and got my rights, they made me feel humiliated, wanted to renew my insurance it went all the way up to 4.4k from 1.2k, I said I want to go for Third Part only instead, they offered 1.8 which I refused, they called me back offering 1.2k after some few discounts from their department's manager (felt as I am in the market trying to buy the cheapest tomatoes), overall review RUBBISH COMPANY

Initally - I totally agree MCE are great. They are cheap, easy to get setup with and helpful. However having been through a (non fault) claim with them, I would offer to all who are considering them a severe warning. It is not worth the cost saving. 1. Appauling lack of consideration for the customer, bike collected and returned 3 months later in the same state. (to expensive to repair) - cost me £600 at the local garage. Bike value approx £5k. 2. During this time I was on a hire bike (ER6) being charged to 3rd party at £100 per day. 3. Appointed legal team - unable to even get my name correct (Alex - tough one!) 4. Subsequently called to change address informed claim still open - 4 months later! 5. As a result they attempted to charge me a further £67 to change address - from being parked on the road to being in a locked compound. They are absolute con artists, defintely not worth the cash you initially save. DO NOT USE.

If i could give zero stars i would have. This firm are a bunch of thieves and thugs. Threatening at a time when you need to be reassured. Almost feel like my bike was stolen by them.

I renewed my policy on 1/2/17 after already being with MCE for a year and cancelled it today as I have sold my bike with my little boy being born soon. Even though I have only had the policy 41 days I have received only half of the premium I paid back. This is disgusting and will never be using MCE again for any of my other bikes or future purchases.

Your definitions are inflexible and semantically wrong. Particularly with reference to locked compounds. Your customer service is inflexible. I am told I am getting a good deal when clearly I am not. The level of excess means the only value in the policy is for legal benefit. yet this is a good Deal. At least deal with your customers honestly rather than over inflating the "deal" and the "extras" which are essentially irrelevant. It seriously irks me that I am forced by law to give your company money

Bike stolen in Nov16 taken till today to process my payout. Four months later, continuously having to chase them to do anything. Alison Mottram and Leon Simon in the claims team are an absolute farce of human beings. MCE are just as rotten as the b@stards who stole my bike. STAY AWAY

Transport team chat complete and utter rubbish. It doesn't take a genius to see the communication between them is poor! Spoke to a rude assistant in the past with very little patience, but I let this pass. Will never go with MCE again. Its funny how all 5 star ratings are similar and grouped together...

Charged me £208 to change a policy over when I could have got a new one for only £250 but the cancel fee was too much to accept

MCE took two years processing the simpless of claims and then profited from the delay by hiking my price. Staff either pushy or unhelpful. On renewal tried to charge me double their advertised online price, despite years of loyalty. In short, dead dodgy.

Apparently they do continuous card payment, so when I changed my card details with the bank due to a mistake they tried to charge me £30 admin fee. They called and left a voicemail and I called back within 2 mins of hearing it only to be placed on hold for half hour. Continued to call throughout the day only to be on hold each time so left it and called a few times each day thereafter. Eventually got through on the fourth day informed them the money is in account and no direct debit has been attempted to be taken or set up. This is when I found out about continuous card payment. Told them I'm not paying admin charge as they didn't pick up phone when I called back and if they had I wouldn't have incurred the charge in the first place. Offered to reduce charge by half told them no and cancelled policy...was with them for 1 month approximately. Avoid this company like the plague, despite being in the wrong they will still try screw you out of your hard earned cash.

yet again another bike stolen with mce doing nothing but avoiding calls and ignoring emails. very disgusted with this company will never used again thats for sure please be careful when insuring ur motorbikes

! ! ! Do not buy insurance from the MCE! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! MCE are crooks! For my scooter worth £ 1,750 they want to pay me £ 120! MCE earn damaged scooters repairs and sells them later. Look for another professional company! They are thieves! the police should chase them! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Still waiting on email documents to tax my bike a week later. Any where else you get this within minutes of buying your policy. I'm fed up ringing these people only to be told I will receive the email today. Do not use.

Bike was stolen less than two weeks into policy (early December) MCE ignored my calls, emails and messages, and have only now told me that they will not continue to insure my replacement bike, having written off the original as a category C. They are trying to charge me for a fool year's insurance, and I'm taking it to the ombudsman, but would highly recommend not using them unless you can afford to pay twice for insurance.

waiting a week on documents keep hanging up when I ring can't tax my bike still waiting . I'd pay 10 times more than use them again . oh 1st time in 44 years iv ever felt so badly treated iv wrote a review or complained
