Your high excess and after care sales team trying to offer me low excess by trying to scrounge more money out of me

Very poor, had to make a claim due to motorbike being stolen, they just dragged their heels, you have to deal with their contractors for salvage/repairs because they dont bother and even they have no clue what is going on. Cant get hold of claims handler, she just avoids my calls. Absolutely useless.s my bike has sat in a compound for three months waiting for an engineers report!!!

AWFUL. Very unhelpful staff. Constant phonecalls even after you have taken out the insurance. I had to call MCE a further 4 times after I had taken out the policy just to ask them to stop ringing me. Each of these 4 times they said they would put a note on my policy. It was only after the 4th call by me that the calls seem to have stopped. I would have cancelled but due to my circumstances at the time I really didn't have the time. I will never ever use MCE again. I will gladly pay more (even a considerable amount more) just for decent non pestering service. This is the first time I have found the need to leave a negative review on vehicle insurance in 28 years of driving/ riding.

Been with MCE for 1 year and renewed my policy and then cancelled after 1 hour to be told there was a cancellation fee which I was not told when I set up the policy then to be told that I was when they listened to the call my policy had not even started. I also found the advisers very rude and abrupt. THIS IS THE LAST COMPANY I WOULD RECOMMEND I HAVE BEEN IN THE MOTOR TRADE FOR OVER 12 YEARS AND NEVER COME ACROSS A COMPANY LIKE THIS VERY VERY POOR. Also I am paying £85 more with a reputable company.

Giving out late fees on the day the payment didn't come out, even though I told them the payment date I wanted to go ahead with as I didn't get paid on the day they took it, lied and said I never asked this. Extortionate prices and very rude chavvy telephone advisors AVOID

I was quoted £528 for 3rd party fire and theft for a 125cc Scooter valued at £1500 . Once I told MCE I could get it elsewhere for £328 they immediately matched that price ! It looks like they quoted me an over inflated price in the hope that I accepted the quote , totally unprofessional and unacceptable behavior . I also had courier insurance with them which I cancelled even though I had paid for the year and still had 3 months to run they wouldn't return any funds to me , I will now go elsewhere .

My bike got stolen after 3 days of owning it. I bought it for £3500. After at least 4 - 5 months and numerous phone calls chasing the claim I finally got a payment through for £1399. In the meantime I have still had to pay MCE insurance for a bike I no longer had and now owe the finance company money as the payment is way to low to cover the remaining balance. I was told more than once my claim would be sorted within the week and they were short staffed and someone would call back. Which never happened. I have been very disappointed not only with the appallingly payment but also the delayed service.

iv been with mce now for a year in that time iv had an accident which was not my fault. I contacted mce and at first where very good and helpful as time went on they have been dragging there heals they have lost documents iv had to send them several times and its been 11 months and I'm still no further with my claim I will never go with mce again because of there poor customer service and time it has taken so far

10 January 2017 My cbf 125 is broken down in camberwell, london. Called mce breakdown and they said first it takes 1 hour for a driver to be there. Called after one hour they said it takes half an hour more. Called 3rd time they said it takes another half an hour. Now i am still standing in a freezing cold weather on a road and still waiting for someone to come. Such a poor service, worthless recovery, never recommend to anyone for MCE insurance.

Messed me about from day one of a claim, was lied to by most of the people I spoke to on the phones about my claim and when and how I was getting paid out would never use again and have told friends about them who witnessed what I was going through please don't use them very bad insurance company

I have a claim for a stolen quad had nothing but run about from start of claim ask to speak to a manager which I did backs d November we agread a setlment on december2 and I had to send documents in you recived them 5th December but have not reserved payment and still not getting a day I will paid to this day 28th December when I rung again just another run around ask to speek to dee told by staff in meetings gone home now told ring January 3rd to speak to her so imight get it sorted from peter Blackburn claim nu ber MCE 1039241 mc

Despite having taken the insurance, there were so many calls I have blocked the number. 3 calls from the sales team who didn't know I had already taken the policy and 2 calls from the aftersales team selling me a ridiculous service to reduce my excess which was 25% of the cost of my policy! Will be looking elsewhere next year.

Never received renewal notice but received several "silent" calls which turned out to be from MCE. When I rang to renew, I was told that it would take 20 mins to give me a renewal quote even though they had all my details. I told him not to bother and went to Bennetts.

Been with mce for 3 years now,renewal is due so go through all the questions again only to be told unable to insure my son on the policy this year as his job falls under the entertainment section which it has been for the last policies,total joke and to top it off the bloke on the phones calling me mate and pal,very professional,would not recommened to anyone

Here's a little tale for you...back on the 3rd nov my bike was nicked from outside my mums...I rang the police gave them all the details etc then rang my insurance firm MCE... remember that name. Now the bike wasn't started cos i would have heard it so it went in the back of a van. Now the fun.....was there a steering lock on the bike?...NO...why not?....there was never one on there ( a vn,s steering lock is normally on the right hand side under a stainless cover, but mine never ever had one fitted from the manufacturer ) "okay" MCE say.....so i email all my documents to them....clean driving licence, never had any problems with payment off me etc; So anyway today i chase them up on the claim...."tough" they say-"we are not paying you" !!! No steering lock was engaged on the bike!!! WHAT THE FECK !!..... there was never one on there. Hard luck..was the answer So i get in-touch with the insurance ombudsman and tell them the tale. What they have said is " even if the steering lock was on there, if it went in the back of a van it wouldn't of helped". So now this is going to carry on for another 8 weeks or so. Again that's "MCE" folks cheap on quotes as-long as you dont claim.

One of the worst company's out there avoid at all costs will sell u a policy that's not factually correct then rejected the your claim for anything they can do your homework look how many complaints they have

These are my views based on my experience. This company has terrible administrative systems. It failed to amend address changes, couldn't communicate from one department to another that I was not pursuing a claim which then delayed sending me confirmation of my no claims bonus preventing me from getting alternative insurance. A truly awful company. The claims handler did know the terms of the policy and was not able to advise me accurately.

HAD TO MAKE A CLAIM. THEY STALL AND STALL,KEEP ASKING SAME QUESTIONS BIG DEDUCTIONS TO SETTLEMENT WHICH I STILL AM AWAITING ALL GOOD REVIEWS HERE ARE FROM PEOPLE WHO HAVE NOT HAD TO CLAIM!!
