“My bike was damaged by another motorist who admitted liability yet mce couldn't be bothered to help me as I was only 3rd party fire and theft so past me on to a solicitor who I have only just been able to get hold of after a month.”

“Can't wait for this cover to finish, bought comprehensive just to find out at the end ( after I start receiving calls from the insurer offering lower excess if paying extra fee) that my excess cost more than £700 which means I have to pay the first £700 when making a claim, felt cheated. Look for execess cost when buying from this insurer”

“Why is there not a minus score for star rating? MCE deserve the lowest possible rating and boy do they deserve it. Poor poor service. Zero comnunication. Promises of call backs that never happen. Lies about settlement. Fact. Unreasonable time scales. 3 months and still no closer to getting paid out. ( no third party to slow things down). Supervisor/ Manager never available. Premium rate claim line. Helmet and leather cover absolute joke, £300 max with extra £100 excess. Insure a 1000cc bike and get a 125 cc courtesy bike for a week max only after write off is decided. Promise of two independant assessors and only one associated assessor with no report available to customer. Worst ins. co ever. Never again. LEARN BY MY MISTAKE”

“not impressed with amendment charges they tried to charge of forty pounds to make addition to policy , very unlikely to to re insure with them next April 2016 , i have been buying vehicle insurance for nearly 50 yrs and never been treated like this before. Peter J Bell”

“Worst experience of my life!!! Do not use this company!! I have put a claim through on my own insurance and had the worst experience ever. Nobody at mce seems to know their jobs and you get passed from pillar to post. I have been a customer with these for nearly 3 years and always paid my insurance on time etc and when it came to doing a claim what an absolute shambles this company is. My experience has been so bad all my biker mates have all changed insurers to Bennett's now as of the result of how my claim has been dealt with and they wouldn't want to be put through the same shoddy service. Do not use this company people!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! Dean o'neill”

“Made a claim against someone who hit me, did not get given a courtesy car because I have a DR10 then MCE didn't want to know about my claim I have had to go through with it myself. Because I was third party fire and theft they where reluctant to help me even though I was not claiming against my own insurance. Will not be using next year. When asked what do I pay £2000 insurance for if they don't want to help and I got the reply of "well you need insurance anyway"”

“Just a word of warning. A family member has just moved house and informed their motorbike insurance by letter as regards change of address. The insurance company charged him an admin fee... plus increased premiums...... and also increased the compulsory excess on the policy from £250 to £575. Just for moving to a far better area. It would appear this company charge one of the highest rates for Compulsory Excess now a figure confirmed by on line checks. Disgusting. DO NOT USE MCE BIKE INSURANCE. Bikers be aware and please share.”

“In the event that you have to make a claim my advice would be get comfy because you are going to be on the phone for at least 40 mins before you even get to speak to a person (premium rate) who undoubtedly will tell you we won't even look into your case for 2 weeks you will have to every week to be told we're waiting on a different department if yo do eventually get a settlement (mine was 5 months later) you will probably get about 1/3 of what your vehicle is worth and if you disagree with the valuation you will be told we don't change our minds once we come to an evaluation if you protect your no claims make sure you do it on the day as with me i was offered it 1 week after and suddenly they have no record of it AVOID AT ALL COST USE ANOTHER INSURANCE COMPANY ANYONE ELSE BUT NOT MCE”
