Didn't like the instructions for avoiding Marketing updates. I clicked on it, then it sent an email, then I got a response with another set of instructions.

You are then asked to input your contact information on a form. Once you have completed this form, our marketing team will ensure that your details are removed from our marketing database within 30 days. After this time, you will not receive any marketing communication from us. Looked for house insurance. Price enquiring direct was double the price via a comparison site. Small print revealed £100 excess was actually £250 for most events. You need to keep your wits about you.

The policies that have been purchased through comparison/cashback sites may have a more competitive premium and will have different levels of cover. Our customers do have the option to choose their excess when taking out a policy with us, however there are some claims such as accidental damage, escape of water and subsidence that require a higher excess to be paid due to the nature of the claim. Having purchased my policy on line..I rang the company to ask for paper copy to be posted to me.. and the person also wanted to discuss two points in my policy..and said they would bring back at an agreed time...they didn't heard nothing so far..not a good start

easy to take out policy. However 2 stars lost as Policy Expert, like so many insurance companies automatically set up a Continuous Payment Authority - there is no option to decline this at the time of setting up the policy. - This should an opt in /out option. They do this to generate repeat business next year playing on peoples apathy.

A few weeks before the policy is due for renewal, we would send out a renewal invite as well as reminders to notify you of our intention to automatically renew your policy, at this point you have the option to opt out or allow the policy to renew. Best price and value for money on the comparison websites. Whether this is an excellent policy depends on claim experience, which i hope i never have.

Never claimed on may insurance, ever, no idea how good these people are, never know til you need to use them. Buying was easy, comp the meerkat, couple more clicks and bought

Well got your product through quidco for reasonable price after cashback however when quotes were checked on your website directly, they were very high for the same product.

In all I have no problem with Policy Expert. However I was taken by surprise when I only received an email that my policy has been renewed without receiving a reminder.
