“Worst possible customers service when having to make a claim by Quote me happy car insurance.
Firstly, they refer you to Aviva,
Secondly, who refer you to Vision, who have staff with no customers service skills
Thirdly, your car is booked into have repairs by AD Williams.
Finally it will be the beginning of your worst nightmare.”
“Shocking customer service. You can nly contact through email and they give generic replies. I have learnt my lesson and will not go for the cheapest insurance again. This has to be the worst insurance company in the UK.”
“I was treated appallingly by QMH.
There was NEVER anybody on chat. You cannot speak to anyone.
Carpenters solicitors were just as bad making appointments which I didn't want or need.
The 3rd party were at fault but I had to pay £250 which to date I haven't received back.
I sent numerous emails but was forever waiting for a response.
I decided not to renew obviously and felt completely let down.”
“October 2017 my car was involved in an accident, I was with Quotemehappy. The offending driver’s insurance accepted their client was at fault, the police gave him 6 points on his driving licence and a fine. However, the insurance claim which Carpenters conducted has only just been completed, July 2023, over five and a half years later. Over this time I have been asked repeatedly to submit information that has already been submitted, agents have come and gone and when challenged current agents have suggested the fault lies with previous employees of Carpenters. I have had requests for updates ignored and have been told that I have had documents emailed to me, statements which were blatantly untrue. I feel that this claim was dealt with unprofessionally with an attitude of disinterest at best. I have made my concerns known to the most recent case handler and have been told I would be contacted after making general complaints – this never happened. I feel the time this has taken was unacceptable, and the attitude of all at carpenters was poor. Quotemehappy take note; you are as strong as your weakest link, your weakest link is Carpenters and it’s a very weak link.”
“Have been locked out of my account as couldn't remember password. Have requested to reset my password but haven't received anything for 2 days. The phone number they provide is useless just for legal questions.”
“I am trying to contact them regarding retiring on a current policy and being told I cannot have policy with them. Dare not even drive car. If I had known you cannot speak to real persom would never have taken it out”
“Bad customer service. Felt as if no one was actually acknowledging the main problem.
Was not able to log into the app so my insurance been cancelled even though I tried to contact the team many time explaining that I am unable to log in.
The device was activated in the car I still got cancellation note.
Terrible experience soo much stress. Huge loss of money.”
“Quoted me miserable, automatically renewed my home insurance after increasing it substantially without justification. I tried go cancel using my account but it kept locking me out with a password issue, tried to reset my details but still not able to access and cancel. Eventually I managed to get their email details and sent cancellation request. They set me several letters saying that I hadn't payed for a year's worth of premiums, but I later received an email from them to say that I had cancelled and there was nothing left to pay. Difficult company to deal with.”
“Aviod at all costs. Do not touch with a barge pole. Impossible to cancel a policy when not needed doesn't matter how many emails live chat or phone calls. Keep locking account so you cannot cancel time and time again. If you do cancel tontvtel them just do it. Still take money for cancelled policy and do not remove you from continuous renewal. So be careful and check your bank account at renewal time. Would never recommend them would definitely never use them again. Need the ombudsman to sort them out.”
“The black box system only worked for the two days from being installed and even then trips were being missed and wasn’t being recorded. I contacted the company via email and they said to allow 24 hours for trips to be recorded. 48 hours went by and the trips still didn’t appear-the device kept unpairing from my phone and was clearly faulty as no lights showed on the device. I ended up cancelling my policy before the company did and going elsewhere for £40 more with no black box. I’ve seen so many reviews all saying the same thing about this company-I’d definitely steer clear of them.”
“The telematic system didn't work. Could only contact them via email. This took 24hrs for each contact. Had to cancel the policy as the system didn't record my journeys, and I was at risk of them cancelling it.
I ended up having to buy a new policy somewhere else.
Do not use!”
“DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! They sent me a FAULTY BLACK BOX which I’ve contacted them numerous times about and still I have been emailed 4 times being threatened that they will cancel my policy. I don’t drive fast or dangerous I have no reason to lie about fitting the black box and have evidence I’ve tried contacting them countless times, can never actually speak to a human and when you do they don’t help at all. They cancelled my policy this morning costing me money because I can’t get to work without insurance due to being self-employed. I’ve given them around £600-700 so far since joining them, just to be ignored.”
“Do not use this company. Impossible to get through to them, on their online (only) communications. Could not log in, pressed their 'trouble logging in' - button and an automatic response says, they have locked your account because there were 'too many incorrect attempts' - this message pops up even when you have made zero attempts and just hit 'T.L.I'. then nothing happens, no option to reset a password. This automatic response popps up whether you tap, 'forgot my password', 'forgot my log-in', makes no sense and does not lead you onto anywhere... I have had my no claims certificate, need to upload this but simple cannot log in, now they've canceled my policy and I have no way of contacting them. Complete nightmare, waste of my time and now I have to find new insurance whilst I have paid for a whole year with quote me happy - shocking and designed to screw you over. Nothing happy about this experience.”
“This company is a joke. It has taken three weeks for someone to come and assess the damage and six weeks to get paid out for my car that was written off in an accident. All through this time I have had no hire car provided despite this being part of my policy and communication with them has been nothing short of a nightmare. The stress of trying to get answers, information and action from them has aged me at least 10 years. I have made two complaints directly to the company and heard nothing back. They are useless! Avoid them at all costs. I have changed my insurer and will never use them again. Not happy!!!”
“The most awful company for insurance do not use even if desperate no customer contact available , will divert you to Aviva a full price company that has a lady that does speak to you if you wait your place 43rd in the queue due to volume of calls)???????”
“Dreadful service. Customer service reps are very polite on the phone but I'm getting nowhere. It's been a month since my car was smashed into whilst parked and I'm STILL waiting to hear the outcome of the assessment of the damage.”
“A simple request for a activation code to use the quotemehappy app is going round and in circles. They seem unable to carryout a simple request and keep requesting the same so called security information over and over again .. Taken that my original email is in thread and I have now supplied the requested information at least 3 times. No faith in this company and will certainly not use them again ..”
