“NIGHTMARE AVOID - I have been without a mobile phone now for 2 weeks as this company had done everything they can to avoid paying out (During being in COVID isolation). I have been waiting on customer service phoning or emailing me back now for over a week and a half (apparently should take 3 days) constantly chasing them up - customer service is uncontactable from anyone and can only be reached by claims team by email. What a very poor show by Quote me Sad. Will cancel my policy and NEVER take insurance out with them again.”
“i cancelled my automatic renewal policy straight away but low and behold they still took the full amount on my credit card.No chance of contacting them.Stay away would be my advice.”
“I have been trying to contact them for a follow up on my claim, but have had not response after I paid my excess. Worst ever insurance company. I even question if they are even legit! They are a nightmare! Would not recommend. I am going to take this legal as it’s mental harassment!”
“Accident over 2 years ago, wrongly put as at fault. After a year and a half I finally managed to get it back as not at fault. Last month they changed it back to at fault with no reason nor proof. Now I have to go back to the beginning once again. No way to call and speak to any human beings. Shocking. Do not recommend at all.”
“Would absolutely recommend everyone to avoid this company. My mother and stepfather where in an accident on Sunday morning on a country road, we were at a winter wonderland as a family and luckily a passer by brought them to us as there was no phone signal. they spent 5 hours trying to get home. Rang insurance who put them through to the rac to pick up the car and take it to their home, to be told from rac due to covid they wouldn’t be able to travel with the car (which they completely understood) and that they have to pay £253 for the recovery and it will be more if a winch is required, rac advised them to ring insurance back for arrangements on getting home, which they did to be told someone will contact them within 15 minutes. No one ever rang them back, constant chasing up and 5 hours later after being told a taxi was coming for them etc, nothing showed up and the kind locals at the winter wonderland managed to arrange a private taxi to get them home (2hours drive each way from where we live). After my sister complaining insurance company provided an email address to send receipt to to reimburse the taxi fare which was £140. All this time they were in shock and pains getting worse, my mother was crying with her pain and wanting to go home. (We didn’t have room in our cars to safely drive home or we would of took them). They got home about 5:30pm when the accident was around 9:30am! To find no car at the address, they had drove past the accident site on the way home and it had been recovered. They rang the rac to find because they weren’t at the car site when it was recovered and they had to use the winch that they took it to the depot, they arranged for it to be dropped off on the Monday once my mother agreed to pay the extra £90. Monday they rang the insurance and my mother explained the situation and bad experience the day before, the person she spoke to apologised and gave an email address to send all receipts etc so they could get money back that they had to spend, and said they should get a call in 24 hours for car to be recovered and a courtesy car. 24 hours later no phone calls. Attempted to call again to not be able to get through, tried to use online chat to be told that they couldn’t help and would need to ring directly. Unable to get through again. I rang the complaints number which was aviva who couldn’t help without a complaints reference number from quotemehappy, they put us through to the correct department who answered straight away, again person apologised and when looked the information hadn’t been passed to the recovery department! They said they would send it through and again should be sorted within 24 hours. It is now Wednesday afternoon and still the car is not picked up and they have no courtesy car. After having an accident and paying insurance every month this is not the hassle needed. Absolutely disgraceful!
You should only have to make one phone call to your insurance company to inform them of accident and they should sort everything.
If it was left to this company they would still have been stranded in the middle of no where.
Avoid avoid avoid!”
“QMH is an online only insurance company, and the staff who deal with emails are terrible. I was logged out my account, and when I contacted them they kept sending links that don't work. It's been on going over a week, I've had about 5 different staff reply, and no-one can help, so I can't access my account. There is NO contact number so it's pretty annoying recieving email links every day that don't work”
“Shocking customer service, they tried to auto and I cancelled due to price hike and adding a £500 excess! Even after cancellation they presented a different DD mandate to my bank and renewed the policy. As you can’t talk to anybody and they don’t respond to feedback I would avoid like the plague!!!”
“I have used quote me happy for several years but never had to claim. My car was recently broken into whilst I was at the airport.
This is by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced !
It has been over a week now and the car has yet to be recovered from the airport. After spending most morning trying to chase and doing the leg work for them. Nothing has changed yet.
I have put a complaint with both Quote me Happy and vizion Network and had no feedback as of yet (more than the normal allocated response time).
During all this time I had no vehicle, and I had to hire one, as of course their policy states than you can only get courtesy car when the car is actually in the garage.
An insurance is only good if it can deal with your claim efficiency.. Well this one isn't. Please stay away from these !!”
“Quote me UNHAPPY is all well and good until you have an issue. DO NOT be fooled by the positive comments on Trustpilot. I was like the previous reviews, happy for 2 years until a fraudulent claim was made against me that I hit a third party car. It was flagged 3 months later, with no location. I gave all details as required immediately so they could "promptly" get onto it. I had heard nothing since then. 8 months later, my insurance renewal was due, they were more expensive and it is then they had informed me they had done absolutely nothing in that time to rectify the situation. One person at QMH said they would chase it two more times and if they heard nothing back, they would write it off, however someone else said no they won't write it off, they will attempt again and wait and see. Which basically tells me this could go on for YEARS whereby they can't be bothered. It made sense to move away from these people however it was a pain because QMH had not done what they should have on their systems which meant I couldn't move. I finally managed to move to Hastings Direct after 12 hours of phone calls and e-mail exchanges. 3 months on I have asked yet again for an update via e-mail ( as if you are no longer a customer you can't talk to them on chat) and they have ignored me completely. I e-mailed yet again a week later and of course, nothing. They are IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of. They DO NOT reply to e-mails. They DO NOT give the right information. I recommend going with another company. Pay the extra and go elsewhere. Luckily for me, Hastings Direct were cheaper than QMH when I was due to renew. AVIOD”
“still in middle trying to get rear bumper replaced but cant speak to a human to confirm it is a replacement being booked in not a repair. terrible, pay a bit more to have a call centre, not online only like this company is”
“Do not use this insurance. They're impossible to contact, then they send you multiple emails saying they've not heard back from you so you contact them again and they say the exact same. On hold for so long you give up or you'll be there all day!”
“Customer support is diabolical, you can’t speak to a human being if you have a concern or problems,I had to change over my policy to another car, there was a problem with doing that on the app,as I couldn’t speak to anyone
I had to cancel my policy and go with another company !!! Do not choose QuoteMeHappy”
“Don't bother. A good example of a faceless organisation hiding behind an online only process. Any enquiry beyond the pre defined FAQS are impossible to resolve. Awful.”
“Don’t go with these people if you wanna be left with no car for 3 weeks. I crashed 3 weeks ago only got sent to garage last week. Was told an estimated valuation from the garage on Tuesday and that they’d pass on to QMH and should receive a call in next 24-48 hours. Still not heard and when I contacted QMH they just want to pass the book and give you loads of random numbers. Beyond frustrated, no car, live over 30 miles away from my work - and no one seems to ever want to answer the phone on the numbers they keep giving me! Cannot wait to leave this poor excuse of a company.”
“Do not go with them. Expected better from Aviva. Thought an actual person might work for them to do basic things like enable you to log in but no such luck...Good luck getting an email for them or personal reply.”
“Impossible to contact them. Company is set up to auto renew without your knowledge and then charges you a small fortune to cancel the policy you didn't want!”
“Be aware , you will have a difficult job trying to speak to a human at this very poor insurance company ! You get what you pay for ! Even simple enquiries are difficult to resolve! I will never use them again , we are still waiting to resolve a simple problem that would easily be dealt with by one of the more well known companies ! Never again !!!!!!!!”
“By definition a "self-service insurer" however this actually extends to dealing with third party claims yourself, Defending their County Court proceedings and at this rate, paying the third party yourself.
Following a 50/50 split liability incident in April 2018, I asked QMH if they needed any help disputing the TP damage claim. They declined, saying it was modest and would be paid in full.
Fast forward to September 2021 and proceedings arrive at home, the third party suing for unpaid vehicle damage. Three weeks on, QMH have made 1 phone call to me offering mainly excuses and platitudes and have yet to either confirm they have paid the claim or, alternatively that they are placing a Solicitor on record.
So, I'm now Defending the claim myself. Fortunately I've 20 years experience in Civil Litigation but that's beside the point. This utter atrocity of an insurance company are effectively happy to let their policyholders get a CCJ against them through their poor performance.
I've had 1 fruitless live chat, sent 4 emails, 2 contact forms over 3 weeks and still no interest from QMH.
In short, don't insure with any Aviva underwritten company. I swore I never would as I see on a daily basis how terrible Aviva are from within Litigation, but was tempted by a really low price. Never again.”
