I just changed my car to a new version of the same model, but I was refused cover, even though no changes/ claims / driving convictions etc during insurance period. Cost of cancellation 50 pounds seems very unfair in these circumstances. Also explantation given for no cover was completely rubbish and did not address any issues. Frustration, expensive experiences - never again

I am the same as most people on here, absolutely exasperated by this company. i want to change my car, but i cannot access my account. this is a system error as i was on there the previous day and the log in details auto fill. then when i finally got in the system would not recognise the car. i sent them emails etc, no response. i am going to have to cancel, but dont know how i will manage that as i cant access my account, again !! to start a new policy elsewhere.4 if you advertise as a web based service, ensure your systems work !!!

When applying for car insurance I provided 18 years of NCB, at the end of the policy they would only return NBC for only 10 years! They insisted I provide proof of NCB for the last 18 years worth of policies that I took out even though the last insurance company provided this! Apoplectic is a word I will use for politeness here. They have lost me 9 years NCB, horrendous! CS just do not care & of no help at all, it’s now taking me forever to back track nearly 2 decades worth of policies in order to verify my claims! SHOCKING COMPANY!

Absolutely unbelievably bad customer service. I have wrong details on my policy. I have an excess I didn't agree to. the w/s gives two options on why you would want to cancel? No mention of lack of professionalism/ customer service or 'would it help for us to contact you to discuss an issue?' Just 'Price too high/ I no longer require insurance. Also I received my documents yesterday (don't blame the post, everyone else seems to get things out in rapid time) giving me 24hrs to read over and cancel if necessary. Also you want to charge me £25.00 for cancelling a policy where you got the info wrong ? Again, no one to make corrections and no options to rectify on w/s which doesn't work half the time. I would never insure with you again. Unprofessional and frankly incompetent to run a business. I'm stuck with you for a year but trust me if anyone asks I' won't be pointing them in your direction. More the opposite one.

Very unhappy with quote me happy , terrible customer service no phone number to talk to real person . No direct email to a real person . To bad if you've got a problem, your stuck. Bought new car , wanted to swap over cover , they won't insure new car , with no explanation, so having to cancel policy and being charged £56 fee. Will never use or recommend this company.

Absolute awful company. 15 emails - Automated response apart from 1 that admits that they are in the wrong I have been waiting for 36 hours for a call that has been promised 3 times Messed my bill up then cancel my insurance even though on the 1 email that I have from then states that it is there mistake!

Everything via online. No phone number to call...just email. The initial response to my query wasn’t at all helpful. Sent another email which should have been responded to within 24 hours. It’s now day two and no reply. Extremely frustrating when it’s an urgent query. Will not be renewing.

Absolutely atrocious service I was involved in a no-fault accident they wrote my car off over the phone and arranged to collect it the next day. To date that was 17 days ago, no car, no payment, no answers, no excuses, I am unable to contact them as some of the numbers they give me do not respond. When I do get through to the one general number I can I have to go through 2 or 3 people to get to the one I want, often getting cut off, usually 40-60 minutes on hold—still, no answers. To rub salt in the wounds, they wrote off the car, so I no longer require the insurance cover, they charged a £50 cancellation fee!!

I wanted to change my policy over mid year as I was buying a new car. All online so tried to complete the form. It wouldn’t work and my new vehicle wasn’t listed. Several emails back and too.......eventually was called by a human being ( I think) Ewan.....who is wasted in quote me happy, I hope he sees sense and gets new job in a better environment! He went through all the questions......when was my NEW car manufactured? 2020 ah, that’s the problem....computer says no to new vehicles! So he then asks model of new vehicle.....now I have already explained it is not listed, still bless him he has another look......then tells me it’s not listed! Aaaaarrrrrrrggggghhhhhh. I had also been told to cancel the policy I would have to pay £56 admin fee but I would receive £45 refund! So I asked why do I have to cancel if it’s down to quote me happy who haven’t updated their software....to which I was told they would waive the cancellation fee and refund £101 . I explicitly gave the date I needed existing policy to cover and I received an email to say it would cease the day before! Absolutely rubbish company......do not touch with a barge pole!

Atrocious, you have to wait at least 24 hours for anything. They’ve refused to continue my cover having changed cars mid way through a policy. Despite them refusing and not giving a specific reason I am being charged £50 and there’s no refund for the remaining period of the policy. There were a number of reasons suggested as to why they couldn’t cover me but none of them apply!

I certainly wouldn't recommend this insurance company! Rubbish! I've taken my private plate off & want to update the details to keep it legal, cannot contact anyone, they aren't responding to my emails or the online 'so called chat' absolutely no confidence in them whatsoever! Thank God I've never had to claim, won't be bothering with these con artists again! :-(

non existent customer service, I was not able to log in to my account and sent numerous emails to address the problem. I had no response. it's an online service. It's key function is to allow customers to log in and control their own insurance. However it failed to let me log in which leaves me with no confidence in the service offer. I have cancelled my insurance due to the non existent customer service.

Doing everything via online isn't always great, you do miss the flexibility of being able to ring and when you do you tend to have to wait a while. The solicitors you are given with the policy needs to change to a better company.

20/08/20. I have used Quotemehappy (QMH) for the past few years and thankfully I have never had cause to contact them. However my recent policy was due to run until December of this year and I needed to cancel it because I'd sold my car and wasn't getting my new one wasn't due until the middle of September. I had every intention of using QMH for my new car until I got the message back after cancelling that the admin charge was over £55!!!!! Where the hell can anyone justify such a high charge for simply cancelling a policy? Is this the highest anyone has ever been charged? I decided that I was going to ring them to discuss it, and/or discuss suspending it until the new car arrives....but heyho, they save money by not providing a phone number for anything but claims calls. That's me finished with QMH - I'm NOT HAPPY and won't be using them again even if they are a little cheaper than others.

Have insured with QMH for a couple of year without issue and a good price so for simple things its works great. Problem comes when you need to update the policy when you change car. Their online change car function completes saying that their automated system will not insure our new car - can't speak to anyone and it leaves you with the options to either cancel the policy update or cancel the insurance. So their system forces you can cancel the policy with a hefty fee. Suddenly the cheaper renewal is now not so good against competitors!
