Picking up and returning the rental car was very good, but unfortunately, the return of the deposit was anything but normal: The deposit was not only reserved but also debited from my credit card and only returned a month later. That's completely unacceptable, and I've never experienced it before.

The vehicle was perfectly fine, and there are no complaints here. My complaint concerns the service after returning the vehicle. I tried several times to contact Green Motion by phone and email – there was no connection, and no response to my emails. I have an outstanding issue, but no one at Green Motion seems to want to address it. Perhaps two stars is too much, but I'm giving them because the vehicle was truly fantastic.

We have used your service numerous time's in the last few months without a problem until the last 2 time's. We landed late and needed to get to relatives so didn't have time to hang around. The car absolutely reeked of cigarette smoke and not very clean inside or out as non smokers we found this to be quite offensive. We were over for my fathers funeral and it didn't make it a very pleasant experience. We did send an e mail to your staff and told them again when we returned the car. The next time the car was filthy inside crisps everywhere and the cup holders were full of dried coffee. Trying to inspect the wheels was pretty difficult as they were filthy. This was neither in holiday season so really no excuses in our eyes. Will we hire again from you im not really sure tbh.

Hi, car was ok. Returned without any scratch. But it is 3 weeks and Im still waiting for refund my deposit. I can't use my credit card now. I can't recommend this company

I have used Green motion and Bristol airport several times over the last few months, always find them to be reasonably priced for the cars. Just booked last weekend and due to a flight delay and being stuck on the tarmac in Bristol for 20 mins, I could only get to their office at about 10 past 8 in the evening. As a result they slapped me with a £36 out of hours fee for being 10 minutes late, despite me calling them 3 times to advise them that I was on my way. There was nothing clear in the booking about this clause. Given the business I have given them recently they clearly do not value customer service or loyalty. Man on the desk could not have been less sympathetic of friendly. Buyer beware, will stay clear of them in the future

My Ryanair flight was delayed and when I attempted to phone the number supplied a recorded message said the number was unattainable. I therefore could not inform the rental agents of my late arrival and they closed before I could get to their office. The next day I was told my booking was cancelled. I have since been unable to get aa refund from booking.com. Fix your landlines!!!

I was provided with a clean and well-maintained vehicle. However, I am giving a lower rating because it has been over a month since I returned the car, and I have yet to receive my deposit. I am hopeful that the full amount will be refunded soon, as the car was returned with a full tank and in good condition.

Hired a car from Sat 22 March to Tuesday 1st of April. The sales man very helpful but failed to give more information about a payment for £451. Advised that this payment will be refunded back when car is returned. He said it was a deposit and it will be refunded back. Get told on the day when returning the car, that the payment is for Car insurance. There was no mention about insurance. Very un happy and wil be sending in a complaint. I want my money back..

Customers MUST know that Eversure and other Excess Insurers DO NOT cover Greenmotion. So you MUST take out their internal extra protection or put yourself at risk. This is the key point. Ask yourself WHY? As far as the rental is concerned, that went well. You get an older car but that was OK on the 2nd hire. The 1st hire had a wheel vibration issue.

L'auto che mi è stata data non era nemmeno lontanamente parente di quella prenotata. Inoltre 30 giorni per avere sbloccata la caparra onestamente mi sembrano un po' troppi. Se aggiungiamo più di un'ora e mezzo per ritirare l'auto, questa volta non sono molto soddisfatto. Strano perché altre volte mi ero trovato benissimo. Spero sia stata un'eccezione

I had a terrible experience with Green motion Car Rental at Munich Airport. I booked a car to be picked up on 12.06 at 9:00 AM, but the staff was late, unable to speak in German, and the car provided was dirty and full of waste. Despite these issues, they charged my card for an "out of hours" return when I returned the car earlier than planned — even though their contract clearly states the charge should be 30 EUR, they took 100 EUR without explanation. When I contacted them multiple times to address this, their responses were dismissive and failed to resolve the issues. They ignored my request for a refund and refused to acknowledge their mistakes. Avoid Green Motion if you value your time and money!

Service staff was ok and pleasant. However, the location of the car rental is very questionable and looks very shady at the back of a building. Car was not ready when we got there and it took a while before they were ready with one. And that too, the car that was given to us was just dropped off by another customer, leaving us with an empty gas tank and no interior cleaning of the car. They did hosed down the car right before our eyes- again very questionable experience.

Green motion need to improve their level of customer service. I was pushed into leaving a deposit and then promptly told I was insured. Only to find out that they withheld the information that there was an option to actually be insured. And essentially I had minimal cover. Green motion should make a point to train their staff to be more honest in future. I would actually recommend people to avoid this company in favour of a more reputable company such as Europcar Overall this company has cost me 2 days of my holiday. And quite frankly a lot of stress. Not what you need. Please be careful about trusting them.

I rented a car for two days at Gatwick and was told I needed the “extra insurance” because I needed to drop off before they opened at 7 am and would be responsible if someone backed into the car between dropping off and when office opened at 7. I paid approximately $60 for the two days. I had a flat tire (no spare in trunk) and was required to call the telephone number listed on the contact. It took 5 hours for the service truck to arrive. I had to pay for a new tire ($90). Damaged tires are not covered on the extra insurance.

Too big deposit, not very convenient if it's not full-to-full petrol. Returned car with much more gasoline and they even didn't give me any discount or refund. Not recommend.

every thing was fine except i Pay FOR HONDA CRV but given KIA Sportage telling me is the same size but end up the boot cannot fit in all my luggage i have to keep 1 of the luggage in passenger sit abit up set......

I was miss sold an upgrade from a basic car to a hybrid model after telling the agent that most of my driving would be motorway, I have since found out that the electric element of the car only works at around 30mph!!! He convinced me that it was the best financial option which it clearly was not! I look forward to hearing from you.

Given stars solely for Abdul at the Heathrow branch as he was very professional However a large pre auth fee that is yet to come off my account The site to collect your car is at a hotel at Holiday Inn M4 , there was no buses so ended up shelling out an extra £50 back and forth on taxis to and from terminal Also the hotel has been given over to asylum seekers and there are police cars parked so going to get the car is an intimidating experience, not the asylum seekers intimidating me , just the added security so you feel you’re entering a prison camp All in all I doubt I would use Green Motion again

I arrived a day late for my pre-paid two week hire to be told that as a 'no show' the car was no longer available. I therfore had to hire another car at cost. I subsequently followed the GM complaints process (ref 2707357) to be informed that my complaint was groundless. What a scam.
