“My first pair of groundies (purchased months ago) fit perfectly and I love them even though I had to buy better insoles. The groundies boots that I last purchased are way too narrow in the front half of the boots and actually caused great pain in my feet which took several weeks to settle down.”

From a distance, it’s difficult to assess the exact cause. In general, a shoe should never feel too tight, especially in the forefoot. If a model feels clearly narrow or constricting when trying it on, we always recommend returning it rather than continuing to wear it. That said, when switching between different models, footbeds, or insoles, it can also happen that new areas of the foot are activated and stressed, which may lead to discomfort or soreness – especially if the change is sudden. In such cases, easing into wear and taking breaks is important. Your feedback is very valuable to us, and we’ll share it with our product team. “Hi, I really like both shoes. They're very comfortable to wear, the extra insole is a huge bonus, and the price was terrific value (BOGO). I wear them daily for work, errands, gym and I'm hoping the sole/stitching lasts a long time. I wish I had the opportunity to buy more on sale. I was so grateful they included a pre-paid return label - so convenient just stick and drop off at UPS. Processing the return + size replacement took the exact 14 days they mentioned. This was atypical, so I emailed them 4 times for assurance and a reply took 12 days. I understand - I assume the team is understaffed which is OK - they fulfilled what their help site states. “Nova GO1 Men US 8: Appears to be a good shoe. Too small. This size was supposed to fit me according to them, and Groundies are supposed to be wide shoes, but not for me. Not near enough volume for me and overall too tight. The refund process took a lot more time than I thought was reasonable, but I did get it.”

“I did a lot of research to learn about the barefoot shoes concept before pushasing any. I bought a cheap pair off Amazon just as a starter pair but wanted better shoes for long-term use. I did quite a bit of digging and found Groundies to be the only company to provide high-quality options that fit my exact size with the Barefoot+ lineup. I've current bought 5 different types of Barefoot+ shoes in the last couple of years (2 sets being exactly the same shoes) but have only worn 2 of them and kept the rest as backups. I at least tried on all of them, and they seem to fit well enough. Out of the 2 sets that I wear often, the Amsterdam model seems to be a bit tight on the top-right forward side of my right foot, just above the pinkie-toe 'knuckle' joint. It's still been quite a bit helpful in strengthening my lower extremities as I started having some concerning problems with them over the last few years. Overall, I'm more happy with these than any other set of shoes that I've utilized in the past even with some of the concerns that might be present or might show up later.”

“I bought these shoes, hoping to add a practical winter walking and work shoe to my collection. Sadly, these are too narrow for my feet. I have particularly bad bunions, and need a wide and flexible toebox. If you have average to narrow feet, these may be just the shoe for you. As I ended up returning the shoes, I cannot attest to wear or quality of make. They were a nice, practical color. The return process was easy and free, and I received my refund in a timely manner.”

“The shoes I ordered from groundies were great quality, however two sizes of the same pair did not fit me so I sent them back. It has been close to a month since shipping the first pair back and I have not heard anything from groundies nor have I received a refund even after sending emails notifying them of the returns. Please send me my money back! I’m disappointed in the customer service.”
