“A very bad costumer support. Change in size, fit and material is not mentioned in the description. I was amazed by my groundies universe, the one that I bought in 2022. I am very disappointed from the new ones I bought in 2025. I tried to reach the support, it was very hard ro reach them and they were not helpful when I made a complaint.”

“Sehr gute Qualität, trage sie gerne in der Natur, auf Asphalt, Steinboden etc. sind sie mir persönlich aber zu ungedämpft, ein Problem, dass ich bei Barfußturnschuhen allerdings nicht habe. Leider sind Winterschuhe auf Grund der dünnen Sohle bei Kälte völlig ungenügend.”

“Super happy mit den Schuhen. Ich habe lange gesucht bis ich Barfußschuhe in meiner Größe (35-36) gefunden habe, die bequem sind und nicht nach Kinderschuhen aussehen und mir auch visuell gefallen.”

“I love Groundies shoes. Its hard to find barefoot shoes that don't look a bit strange. Groundies shoes are good for your feet and stylish. I like the option to choose different levels of barefoot shoes. Just wish they did more fashion options so I could get my tween/teen to wear barefoot shoes too. Great service every time. Never had problems with orders or returns. More fashion options would also be great for nights out as well. So many women don't wear heels now and there are no good alternatives out there for nights out.”

“Bei den Winterschuhen gehen jedes Jahr die Schnürsenkel kaputt. Da könnte man etwas machen. Und beim Profil für Wanderschuhe ebenfalls. Etwas matschtauchliger wäre schön. Mit dem jetzigen Profil hat man keinen Halt. Ansonsten sehr schöne und bequeme Schuhe. Ich bin großer Fan, vor allem weil man nicht gleich sieht, das es barfuß Schuhe sind. Gute Arbeit!”

“As I recently discovered, the website no longer ships to Slovenia, which I find quite disappointing. As an alternative, they offer a national website, but it does not include all models, especially not the newer ones. As a result, the service has deteriorated drastically.”

“Die Schuhe an sich sind bisher super. Allerdings finde ich es ein Unding, dass die von mir gekauften Schuhe nun um 50% günstiger angeboten werden. Obwohl es ein Schuh aus dem Standard-Sortiment ist. Damit tut man sich keinen Gefallen und die Kunden werden die Schuhe irgendwann gar nicht mehr zum teuren Preis kaufen wollen. Ich jedenfalls werde das nicht mehr machen, weil es mich ärgert 135€ bezahlt zu haben und nun zu sehen, dass das Paar nur noch die Hälfte kostet. Es handelt sich 1:1 um den gleichen Schuh. Nur 2 Monate später. Scheinbar hat der Schuh wohl doch nicht den Wert von 135€ wenn man ihn jetzt hinterher geschmissen bekommt.”

“This was my first purchase, previously I had only owned vivo’s vibrams, and wildlings. Wildlings in the us narrowed her toe boxes so I have been looking for alternatives. These shoes are at an excellent price point with quality. I am happy with the room the toe box has. The heel of the shoe is a little wider so the slip one are not as secure on me, but I am very satisfied with this brand.”

“These shoes allow me to attend pilates and bar classes and wear my orthotics. They are not as cute as I would like but they are comfortable, and most important, they keep my feet safe while allowing me to exercise.”

“The shoes arrived with a hole in the leather. The style and color were out of stock so no exchange. I was told I could take to a cobbler and be reimbursed for repair + 10% off another shoe. Disappointing quality and mediocre service.”

“Well made and they look nice but too tight on the bridge of my foot and not very generous in the toe box. I got a 36 and i think that most shoes scale down the width too much when making smaller sizes but my foot is just short not tiny all over. I wish barefoot plus was available in more styles.”

“Communications for folks in the US was pretty poor. It took forever for the item to ship. I attempted to reach out to the email listed in my order confirmation and it turns out they’d misspelled the support email in the confirmation so my emails to them bounced. I eventually found their US support email online. I got bounce notifications for those emails too, saying the inbox was full. The emails did seem to go through tho, bc someone eventually emailed me back and said they’d be shipped soon. The shoes just showed up one day without ever having flagged as shipped or on their way.”

“I live off grid in the mountainous regions of Northeastern Washington state. My Groundies Portland boots are the most comfortable and durable minimalist/zero drop boot I have ever worn. Whether processing or hauling wood for fuel, hauling water or hiking in wet/cold/snowy conditions my Groundies have served me well. Two thumbs up!!!”
