Disappointing bought dishwashing tablet which turned out to be cheaper to buy in the shop. This was a good deal lat time I put purchased but sadly not this time. Lesson learned more research before buying could be much cheaper elsewhere.

I have had many good experiences, but that was when there was customer service. Now that they deleted their email, phone number, and can end chat when they feel like it, they stink. If they make a mistake don't expect it to be corrected. They listed a restaurant with 20% cash back. We went there and it didn't show up as a credit and there is nothing you can do. You chat and they tell you they will get back with you but don't. If they lie, so what, you have no say in the matter. They are going down the drain.

A place my son loves, I purchased a groupon for & everything went smooth the 1st time. The 2nd time I used it, there wasn't location restrictions listed. However, when I got my email the 1st thing it lists is that I can only use it in 4 spots, all of which are 1.5+ hours away! In fact, the whole time I kept getting offer after offer for various states & had to keep changing my location back. Oh well, I am going to hope that the race place we go to honors it, but somehow I doubt they can. Bye bye $60 worth of races!

Over charge for delivery on every item and it takes ages for item to be delivered. They send out 100’s of emails each day

Bought a groupon ( times 3 ) for a new favorite restaurant and found out when trying to use it that it was for a restaurant in another state! When you look on my personal account information I listed that I wanted deals for my state/area. I never saw as stated by the customer service representative "the fine print" that the restaurant with the same name was for Arizona not Arkansas. Very dissappounting for that was all that was stated besides the fact that they would not refund me. The very least you could offer would be to give me credit for the money spent and the capability to use for any other Groupon offer! I am no longer using Groupon and will close my account as soon as possible.

I purchased an online discount code to be used for a Priority Pass for access to airport lounges when travelling. I have been trying for 7 days to get the code to work (due to Groupon asking me to wait and try different methods to resolve) and consistently still receive error messages stating that 'Code is Invalid'. After attempting all the suggestions by them, Groupon have asked me to take screenshots and email these to their support team, but my Groupon is nearly due to expire (as you only have 10 days to use code before automatic expiration) and asked for someone to come back to me before the end of yesterday and still nothing from them. Also, everything feels rushed when communicating with Groupon support via Webchat as ridiculously, their agents cannot see when customers are typing (although the customer can see when the agent is typing) therefore creating comments like ‘Are you still there’ or ‘Have you disconnected’ whilst you are still typing your query and I type fast as worked in IT support for over 20 years, so I pity the customers who type slow. This issue needs to be fixed or they need to get a new ‘Webchat’ system. I cannot see myself using Groupon again if this is the type of support received.

ordered a "rose gold necklace" - should have known the price was too good to be true. after wearing it for about 2, weeks, the "rose" wore off and i was left with some kind of splotchy silver necklace

I accidentally submitted a review for a Groupon I bought without completing. I contacted Groupon on chat and thought the first chat window had closed so I started another chat where I was told "Unfortunately, we are unable to remove the reviews made by customers." I thought this was pretty inefficient and didn't make sense so deleted my account as I can't be bothered with a company that doesn't have ways of dealing with things well. However, I received a transcript of this conversation and also of the conversation I thought I had accidentally quit where the operator said "We'll not publish the empty review. Is there anything else I can do for you?" Ir's too late since I deleted the account. Consistency is needed.

Customer service was appalling after having the wrong item delivered. Groupon escalated to their special team but they just closed the issue without consulting me. Sever Live chats with them and no-one ever read the history and just kept bleating the same stuff. Was referred to the actual seller who also wasn't interested in the problem.

The electronic keyboard I received is plastic. And although it didn't state in the title and description at time of ordering that it was a toy it did some weeks later, in which case I wouldn't have ordered it.

The item I ordered was not the item I received. I tried to write a review and it does not give me the option to write a review. When I got a hold of a representative for help they said that the item I ordered was going to be sent. It never came, i tried to write a review again and the Groupon site doesn't actually let me write a review. It does seem that Groupon isn't much into customer satisfaction.

The story of my last 15 months of dealing with Groupon. In December 2016 my account, along with many others, was hacked and items were fraudulently bought using it; however, all the money that went from my bank account was reimbursed. In about March 2017 I tried to use my Groupon account again to buy something else and it failed due to unknown reasons with the same failures happening twice on different purchases in October 2017. I reported these failures to Groupon on each occasion and told them that there was something wrong with my account (probably as a result of security measures they put in place on my account after the hack); but every time they ignored me, said there was nothing wrong with my account and I should just try again later. In October I decided enough was enough and told Groupon that if it failed one more time then that was that and I wanted out. In March 2018 I tried to make another purchased and it failed due to the same unknown reason again. I wrote to Groupon and said that either I wanted the credit I have on my account (about £25) sent to me directly, or I want goods to its value sent to me; and I want my account deleted. Groupon claim they are unable to do this and I have received this reply to my request: "As much as I understand your situation I am afraid that in request to your monetary compensation I cannot comply. Groupon can only refund the price of an order and provide a gesture of goodwill in the form of Groupon credit. I am sorry for the inconvenience, however we do not have the facility to place orders on behalf of our customers, so we will unfortunately be unable to send you the plant." (The 'plant' is the goods I wanted to buy in March.) I do not find this acceptable as there is no guarantee that if I open a new account the same failures won’t happen again because the security measures may be linked to my name and not which account I am using, if this happens I’ll be back to where I am now. I am writing this as a warning to those that use Groupon: if anything goes wrong then their customer services are next to useless; and even if they eventually admit liability you won't be able to extract any money you have with them in a useful form.

I had bought a few items on groupon, please look at the fine print. Also they have expiration dates too. I will NOT ever use Groupon again. It is better to buy the product you need with the actual retailer or services needed than groupon. We had 3 massage certificates and never able to use them.

I enrolled in Groupon offers recently and most of the offers are very misleading or lack full details. In fact, I can usually find better offers from traditional sources. Bottom line: too much semi-scam feeling about this site.

Never ever My account was blocked and i cannot get in touch to see what's happened. I bought a driving experience coupon for my husband's anniversary. The day i bought it, they sent me an email saying my order is processing . Next day i wanted to see the status they say there is no account linked to the email address i received the confirmation the day before!!!!. You cannot call - fill up a form and apparently they call you back . Forget about still waiting after 2 weeks. I understood from one friend that it took her about 6 month to resolve a problem which is still not solved No way to buy from them again- too much trouble

Ordered 3 identical items before X'mas 2017 from the Groupon (2 arrived in a pack). Their courier Hermes lost the 3rd identical item 3 times despite reordering. Groupon blamed Hermes for not delivering and on the 3rd occasion it was delivered 100's of miles away from my address. Hermes blamed Groupon for the wrong address, but when I inquired with Groupon they confirmed my correct address. Despite this, as a customer I was sent round without the item and I ordered the same from Amazon and received it promptly before Xmas. Neither Groupon or Hermes have taken responsibility! The CE's of both companies should be sacked for a pathetic service!!! I will writing to both companies and sending it to the press.

I bought Groupon for a Bowling Place. It went out of business as soon as I bought it and I contacted Groupon to refund me the money. After many emails back and forth, they still continued refusing me the money and I finally had to contact American Express for a refund, which I promptly received. I don't trust Groupon anymore and have stopped using it completely.

I have brought a lot of groupons over the years, but way too many are out of business before you can use them and a few flat out would not honor them. I contacted groupon, the only way you can (email) to inform them of these facts, yet they refuse to refund your money (only groupon bucks) and they continued to sell the same groupons months later, even though they know it is out of business. If you wonder what is the final straw for me, I recently purchased a groupon for Top that Pizza in Edmond Ok, I drove over 20 miles a few times looking for it, without finding it. I finally stop to ask someone at another eatery and they told me that it had been out of business for a while. I then went to groupon to read the reviews on Top that Pizza and I noticed that someone complained that it was out of business in Sept.2017 I brought my groupon in October 2017, so I wasted my gas for nothing and groupon had to know that it was out of business. I contacted them with this only to be told that they gave me my money back as groupon bucks. I contacted them again to ask why are they still selling them in Jan. 2018 knowing that the person who purchase them can't redeem them. They get to keep your money and give your groupon bucks for a company that you can't count on to inform you that places are out of business or won't redeem their groupons because of problems with groupon. I am feed up and tired of hearing I am sorry, when they already know that someone is out of business. I am not talking about once or twice, I am talking about many times and when I know I have informed them, they keep selling them to others... that is bad business. Plain and simple
