Item supplied was not as described on the web page nor in the phone call I placed before completing the order. The item was described as an exercise mat but in fact, is a yoga mat. An exercise mat is semi-rigid and a Yoga mat is designed to roll up so that it can be transported easily. Sale person stated the Mat I ordered was unable to be rolled, which is not true.

Took over a month to get an in stock item I bought dispatched, and only after I contacted them did it eventually get dispatched. Did get a quick initial reply but heard nothing for over a week until I had to follow up again after they said they'd "look into it". Gave this company the benefit of the doubt after the initial covid rush years ago but it doesn't seem their customer service is much better now.

I purchased an Olympic Barbell online via Gym Direct Mar. 14, 2022 and it was delivered Apr. 21, 2022. Almost 6 wks from NSW to WA !... If I hadn't contacted them and their courier company, who knows how long it would've taken to arrive if at all... Wasn't told what caused the hold-up and no apologies either... Product arrived in good condition but way too long waiting for it - Not happy Jan !!

The product itself is solid and welded very well and works. Not having instructions for assembly was a major problem. The exploded engineering pictures that I had to ask for were wrong. No one was able to video call or provide assistance over the phone. I'm 800 kms away. I eventually ignored the drawings and put it together trusting myself and previous experience assembling these types of units. Anyone new to this would have no hope. All communication was returned via email and although eventually i was provided with something that would have helped earlier it seems too little way too late. What should have taken 1.5 hours ended up taking days. I have what I wanted at a good price. Customer service, of the 6 people i delt with, only 3 were of any help. Once they have your money your basically on your own. As im writing this i reduced the star rating from 3 to 2. Looking back, it really was bad.

Got an email stating that my product is ready for pickup. Arrived at the destination in Taren Point - took the guy 30 minutes to bring the boxes out. If it's not ready to pickup, then don't say it's ready.

Ordered a pair of weight plates that took 3 weeks to be processed and dispatched. The plates arrived after almost 4 weeks greasy, dirty and poorly made compared to other weights I have bought elsewhere. Would not buy again from this seller.

If I had known how many weeks I would have had to wait for my simple order (2 dumbbells) from you to be delivered I would never have ordered from you. You charged my credit card on Jan 7 and my order was delivered on Feb 01. Needless to say I will not be recommending your service or using it again.

Customer service on the surface seems good but when you have to wait a month for a product to arrive and send multiple follow up emails with vague responses it can get frustrating. I understand Xmas closures but when the warehouse opens on the 10th of Jan I don’t expect to have to wait another 2 weeks for items to be shipped out.

I am really disappointed in the communication. I understand supply chain issues, that being said, I have had 3 emails saying that my order is out for delivery or been delivered and I haven’t received the order. Now I am being sent an email asking to review my experience? I am okay waiting for my order, you present a very competitive price which I appreciate. However it is frustrating when I stay home to collect an order or need to call up to ask why it said my order was delivered when it has not been.

Upon checking the latest delivery status as of today, your parcel is already at Vic airport at 9:29 am this morning and due for delivery. Organisation skills need improving. Leaving it up to customers to querie if items have been sent, prompting you to apologise, say it was sent 3 days prior, then email the incorrect shipping information is frustrating. Especially when you message them saying the links don't work to track your order, and they reply with 'it takes 2 days for the tracking number to become active' when in the previous email, they told you it was sent 3 days ago. Then you querie again and it takes them 2 days to finally get back to you. I understand, it's a small team, and they are under pressure, believe me, i get it, however, when it's 3 things in a row when dealing with the customer service side of things, it damages the company, and leaves a customer not wanting to have future dealings with said company. I'm annoyed, sorry gymdirect, but i don't know if i'll be tapping you on the shoulder for future gym fitouts and purchasing of equipment :(

I wasn't really happy, my 5kg weight looks like it has a chunk of rubber taken out of it and the coating used to spay the product for shipping has stained my workout matt.
