I was left with my car at Halfords West Bromwich by a tow truck ordered by the RAC who did not book me in for my repair and the branch was fully booked. I waited from 1pm to 4.30 to be picked up by the RAC to take me to another Halffords when the branch manager Andy who could see I was distressed said he would repair my car. I burst into tears as I had had enough and wish to thank him for his 100% customer service.

They charged me £700 for a service and cam belt but could/would not give me a detailed checklist of what had been done. I got a receipt with 6 words about what was done. They told me "we don't do em no more". Rang Head office who palmed me off with nice words but no action. How can I know what needs doing ? I'm going to have to get it all done properly by a proper garage. What a bunch of incompetent scammers.

I have recently visited Halfords in Lakeside Retail park in Weston Ave, Grays. Too many staff paid for doing nothing. There were at least 4 members of staff chatting near the till amd none of them meither greeted me nor approached me asking if I need any help at all. I was wandering around and even seeing me struggling none of them came to me and offered help. After 10-15 minutes I approached them and asked to help me to choose the carseat for my little one. And before I started to explain an older member of staff (a male with beard, didn’t bother to introduce himself) straight away jumped to conclusion that my current carseatt is good and nothing was wrong with it. He had no idea that I was looking for the second one as we wanted to put one in my husband’s car as well. He also didn’t hesitate rudely push my baby inside the pushchair to show that my car seat is good already which I knew already. Anyway I just stepped away and left the store feeling that I will not get any help from any of them. Oh well Halfords keep loosing money ;) And I will go to other shop to spend some money lol

I went into Halford Autocentre in Chadwell Heath, London and was served by that sleepy sloppy lazy guy called George if he has said his name right. I went there as I had a great impression about halford. However, I can't remember receiving any worse customer service in my whole life in any place than what I received yesterday. I felt like he hated us. Never mind the smile or greetings, he would not even talk or willing to serve though there were no other customers. The car service was done and we could see the car key and the file was ready for invoicing and handing over. So dumb that it took hours to just prepare a simple invoice and taking payments. He was taking so long doing nothing that his colleague had to point him out that the file and key is here and customer is waiting, why don't you process it. Then he sat at his computer kind of reluctantly, fiddling with it incompetently and spend more than a hour to just produce the invoice. Also, utterly dishonest, all lights were working in the car before we went in the but during the MOT he called to say that three lights are not working and we cannot pass you unless you agree to chage it, kind of extortion. Felt like he charged for a lot of things unnecessarily and abused the trust of customer. There was no politeness and not even a minimal sense of decency or respect for customer. I felt like he just hated us. Waste of money and time for this utterly rubbish, rude and con service.

2 bad experiences now. 1st last year, mechanic didn't know how to replace bulb and tried to remove entire headlight - I gave him my manual for guidance! 2nd v poor experience this week. AA left my car there to have reseal done on tire as flat. Endless contact attempts and phone not answered and didn't hear from them. Got someone in the bike dept to finally speak to them . Collected car to find they had decided to charge me for 2 wheel repairs said both were flat. Not true. This was an unauthorised repair so I said I would only pay for 1. Manager wouldnt look me in the eye. They also used all of my de icer and left me with none.

i use Halfords cycle centre in thetford and all I can say is that the staff there are wonderful especilally a guy called martin who repaired my cycle to a perfect standard thank mr walshlazare

The lady at the till was both extremely pleasant and super helpful. She knew exactly where everything was and went out of her way to make sure I found what I was looking for. Halford's Price Match promise is just another great reason to give them my business.

I purchase a lezyne 1100 cycle light Unfortunately the light would not charge Halfords gave me a no quibble refund as smooth as Excellent service thanks

Well at least Dick Turpin worn a mask and told you why he was robbing you. My wife just got a bill of £123.11 for and MOT and fixes to the car......a Mini Cooper 1.6 auto. MOT £35 Fair enough Fuel System Cleaner £20 Fair enough However got absolutely robbed for the following so be aware BE VERY AWARE!!!!!!!! Stand and Deliver! Front nearside indicator bulb £21.58 fitted Front Offside indicator bulb £21.58 fitted These bulbs are £5 for a pack of two in the shop nextdoor Fuel cap seal £24.95 fitted Needless to say we will not be returning there again having been long standing loyal customers. Things at the Westwood Cross Autocentre have changed and not for the best. I would advise to avoid them. I rang head office and was told this the price charged in the system. Well you won't be charging us those extortionate prices any more......Goodday, Goodbye and good riddance. An angry, upset and robbed customer.

I went to Chilwell Halfords to pick up a click and collect order. No one at the checkout for ages, when a man did arrive he didn’t acknowledge me but answered the phone instead, wandered round the store to fetch something, went back to the phone conversation, and still not a word to me! Came off the phone, and finally acknowledged me standing in front of him, but not with a ‘sorry about your wait, how can I help you’ but with ‘are you alright there?’! Said in an inquisitive way as if it was odd I was stood there!! Rarely go to Halfords and won’t be going back.
