“Hobbs is always wonderful”

“I'm astonished to be writing this about a company like Hobbs but, frankly, both of the shirts ordered arrived in a very poor state: badly creased and looking as if they had been at the bottom of linen basket waiting to be washed and ironed. A little tissue paper in which they were wrapped failed to disguise the lack of care and quality. I had been attracted by the photograph of the shirt online and ordered two sizes to try. One was far too small, the other nearly so. Certainly didn't suit me. As a newcomer to Hobbs, I can only say that I was not impressed, and would not choose other items in the future. On the positive side, delivery was very prompt.”

“I love Hobbs and whether goods are ordered on line or purchased in store, the service is faultless. On line orders are delivered really quickly with free returns. In store, the staff are so helpful and you get the personal touch which is missing in so many stores these days.”

“Requested next day delivery and paid extra but it took longer to arrive. They did refund the postage but that is not the point! Expect better from Hobbs. Evri not a reliable courier”

“This bolero goes perfect with the Angelica dress. I do have a concern regarding the item arriving looking as if it had already been worn and with no tag on the item. Very suspicious that it was a customers return! The reason I didn’t send it back was because the size was running low”

“Hobbs is my go-to for good quality clothing that is well cut and fits my 5ft 8" frame. However, I haven't changed shape or size for decades, yet lately I find it hard to guage whether I am an 8 or 10, a S or XS in Hobbs clothing as there is so much variability in the designs. This becomes very frustrating when I make an educated guess at the right size, using the Hobbs guide and then cannot exchange for a different size by post and within any discounted period. It is not always possible to punt two sizes at once and returning items is not always straightforward, living in a rural area. Added to this, the packing of items is frequently woeful. I've received items in split and damaged boxes, so have to find my own packaging to return anything. I would have given Hobbs 5stars if the sizes were harmonised and the packaging always appropriate for your good quality items.”
