“Holiday Cottages has these hidden gems to stay in which we never saw on other booking sites. We also noticed the listed rates for some places were cheaper on HC - same place, better price. A simple, easy booking process. The cottage was exactly as advertised on their site. Great support emails before check in with information about the surrounding areas and checking in process. Will definitely be booking our future trips with HC.”

“It was a very straight forward process to book on the website. Once booked, I opened an account and all of the information was then under my booking so couldn't have been easier.”

“The position was very good and lovely village, but the cottage is tired and needs a re paint. Also their were a lot of cobwebs and dog hair, and the hoover was broken.”

“I like the way that Holiday Cottages keep in touch throughout the booking process. There are reminders if you need them and help should you need it at the venue. If I am looking for a holiday cottage I would always investigate Holiday Cottages first.”

“The process of booking a 'cottage' was very easy and straightforward, and any queries were answered quickly. This helped us look forward to the holiday without any stress occurring. The description of the accommodation was correct, and we thoroughly enjoyed the holiday.”

“Holiday cottages are great to book with. Used them a few times now. no problems with them at all. The accommodation this time was great apart from the bedroom which was damp as its underground with no window and made your clothes smell and feel damp. they don't put the heating on low in the summer to help with this, it is just cold and damp. There's an electric heater but you can't leave that on when in bed or are out for the day so it's awful in the underground bedroom. there's also an issue with security in that bedroom. there is no lock on an external glass door which leads up to the street.. the owner said he wasn't allowed to put a lock on it for fire safety and nobody could get in from the outside ..... we checked, and you can get in from the street.. this made me nervous at night and worry whilst we were out. this needs sorting, it's not good at all. the place is not secure at all..”

“Helpful when I had to change my booking. Cottage obviously hadn't been deep cleaned for some time. It was tired looking. Sofa & chair very uncomfortable. Lots of equipment in the kitchen. Toilet wouldn't flush a lot of the time. I think it was expensive for length of stay and size of property.”

“Secluded location with good access to both Dartmoor and the coast. Well equipped cottage. Nice to use the pool after a long day walking. Scones, jam and cream a nice touch on arrival.”

“Excellent house for our 3 generation party of 10 with a huge amount of kitchen and dining equipment although would have liked a sharper bread knife and an alternative to the cafetieres for coffee but that was all we could fault. The hot tub and snooker table were really well appreciated and the bedrooms were delightful. Woodford was peaceful and just about walkable to the coastal path although the cars were needed for decent beaches. Bude beach is huge but our favourite for the grandchildren was Sandymouth Bay. We were well looked after by the 2 housekeepers Michelle and Sean although there were no real problems.”

“The place we rented was in a lovely old priory. The accommodation itself was ok in places and not great in others. The bed was very comfortable the kitchen was ok and lounge was also fine. The bad bits carpets were awful and disgustingly dirty the bathroom was in need of a total refurbishment and the noise from next door family with kids that resembled more like chimpanzees was horrendous. The cafe on site was absolutely brilliant.”

“Lovely place clean and tidy good amenities nice views from garden great wildlife to see from out back, owners there but unobtrusive, available if needed pleasant and friendly, nice location for coast and resorts really enjoyed my stay there will return again if I go back to Dorset.”
