“We stayed at Gower Tides, The Stable, which was a beautiful cottage. Full of character and painstakingly renovated to a very high standard. We loved the exposed stone walls and many of the original features still visible. It had everything you would need for a long stay, a real home from home. It was the perfect base to explore Wales and we paid visits from the Mumbles to The Black Mountains on the edge of the Brecon Beacons. If you don’t fancy cooking indoors then the local amenities are only a walk away. We had our own space to relax in outside at the back of the property with far reaching views over fields, hills and Swansea Bay. We particularly loved the horses that would come up to our low stone wall from over the fields most days. A beautiful place to stay”

“We stayed at a lodge on the Holkham Estate. We called the helpline three times as we couldn't find the lodge, we did eventually find it after driving around for an hour. The help desk wasn't particularly helpful on all three calls. A map showing where the lodge is situated would have been really helpful. The grill in the oven was caked in old cheese from someone presumably making cheese on toast, also remnants of something else in the oven. We had to clean it before using it! There was stains on the mattress cover which were pretty gross. Although not related to the Lodge, dog poo bins are scarce so additional bins scattered around the estate would be desirable. Would we stay here again? No.”

“A perfect stay atBunny Hall. The accomodation was excellent - clean, well equipped and spacious. The grounds were a delight, with the herd of deer proving a great hit with our grandchildren. Peaceful and relaxing. Communication with the owner was smooth and trouble free -speedy and efficient. The several flights of stairs to the apartment were challenging for the oldies but we managed! Having left a charger in the apartment, the owner kindly sent it back to us - and wouldn't hear of our paying the postage. That's what I call perfect customer service. Definitely one to recommend”

“Easy to use and great directions to the property which was clean and enjoyable . Being our second time here we were not disappointed . The welcome pack was as good as before and gratefully received . Unfortunately the weather effected our TV reception and we needed new batteries in the DVD player but the snooker table made up for this glitch . All in All an enjoyable stay .”

“The accommodation was fine but a lot smaller than we expected, the photos made it look more spacious. The accessibility for my granddaughter ( in a wheelchair) was not ideal, she had to leave the grounds in her wheelchair and go onto the road to be able to access the pool area. The play area was unkempt and up several steps so she could use that, this was not evident from the pictures. The accommodation was on a farm and a cow shed was positioned within feet of our outside space making it smelly, noisy and causing so many flies we had to keep the doors closed in the warm weather.”

“This is a great location. The overall standard is good. This was our third trip in the last 3/4 years. We love the setting, the tranquility and the relaxing feel of the place. However, the standard is starting to wain and some maintenance is close to being needed”

“Stayed for a week at Echo Beach. Fabulous location and nicely decorated. As an apartment, thought it might feel a bit small but actually it was very spacious. We had a great time here and would recommend. Was a bit noisy Friday/Saturday night but didn’t bother us. Recommendations: whisk/tongs in kitchen Mattress in main bedroom feels cheap and uncomfortable, I struggled to sleep on it (I can normally sleep anywhere)! Welcome gift needs looking at! Whilst washing items were appreciated, there were no coffee/tea/milk etc. doesn’t need to be expensive but a bit more thoughtful. There is nothing left in the kitchen from previous guests so be aware you’ll need to shop for any essentials as soon as you arrive.”

“Very spacious and was a awesome venue. We had a party of sixteen and we had the cottage next door as well, the weather was awesome which helped as it was a bit echoey indoors with everyone talking. The mattress we had was a bit uncomfortable (upstairs first bedroom) But venue was very clean and very well equipped and we an awesome time and we would recommend to any large parties”

“Avoid this company! Strongly do not recommend!!! Review for Hydrangea Cottage (Booking Ref: 377883) We were extremely disappointed with our experience at Hydrangea Cottage and sadly had to leave immediately after arriving. The property was in an unacceptable condition: • Floors were visibly dirty • The sitting room had mould and clearly had not been cleaned • The fridge still contained expired milk, coffee, and biscuits, leaving a very strong smell • Dust and spiders were everywhere – my husband has a dust allergy, so it was not safe for us to stay This was not at all what was advertised on the website. The photos and description suggested a welcoming, well-kept property, but the reality was the opposite. After a long journey, the last thing we expected was to arrive to such poor standards. We booked this holiday in good faith and expected the property to be clean and ready. Instead, our holiday was disrupted before it even began, causing us a great deal of stress and disappointment. I cannot recommend this property or the company based on our experience. Julia W.”

“I have given 5 stars for the property itself. Perfect location, especially for someone able to use stairs, but with limited ability to go out walking, to enjoy the sea views from the property. The welcome wine and biscuits were a lovely touch, as were the tea bags, coffee, dishwasher tablets etc. Everywhere was spotless; thank you, lovely cleaning lady! The property was well equipped for self catering and the open plan living area enabled all to enjoy sea views, whether cooking or eating at the kitchen end, or relaxing in the sitting area or out on the little balcony. The cost would mean that I would have to save quite hard to be able to treat my niece to a holiday at Craster Waves again, but I'm getting that piggy bank ready! I hope that next time I'll have fewer difficulties than I had this time in trying to make the booking with the Holiday Cottages website, though I'm glad to have eventually made the booking successfully by phone.”
