“Great service beautiful cottage well equipped Thankyou”

“The house stunk. It was really musty. We arrived late and were really dismayed to find no welcome pack so we had no way of making a cup of tea. This is the first place I have stayed where there has not been a pint of milk left out. The sofa looked and felt like it had been picked up outside of a local tip. Worst place I have ever stayed.”

“The booking process was easy and The cottage had a lovely view from the kitchen/lounge area, but that’s the only positive. We found the cottage tired and needed a good clean, oven wasn’t cleaned from the previous guests, the bed slats were broken, cobwebs, previous dog hairs everywhere and spiders in ever corner. The back garden was unusable. We have complained awaiting feedback”

“Second visit to this cottage and hopefully won’t be my last. Cottage clean and everything you need with the added bonus of the private pool only a few steps away. Great location, couldn’t ask for anything more.”

“The reviews written underneath do not match Otter Cottage. We think you should make it clear to future residents that the drive to the farm where the cottage is situated is along a mile and a half very narrow track with very limited passing spaces. (Our home is situated similarly but we have passing spaces every 100 yards or so.) We had to reverse uphill on a number of occasions and on one occasion we had a great big agricultural lorry coming down on us. It was about 6 feet away pressurising us no doubt to go faster. My husband found it incredibly stressful so much so that we vacated the property early. We had to keep our bedroom blind closed as the owners walked along in front of it to get to their barns etc. The kitchen window was glased because that overlooked tthe owners property. Some of the panes in the patio doors which were the main entrance need replacing because they were fogged up. The outside light didn't work; we had to come down stairs to get into the property and its dark at 8pmish now. The bathroom and kitchen were in good condition. Overall it was a bit too small and pokey for us.”

“Booking with holiday cottages was very easy over the phone as online booking was not an option. They sent paper copies of the details for the holiday and all in all was a good experience. Would definitely book with them again.”

“the holiday cottages in my view was not of a good standard. The stairs are unsafe i nearly fell down, they are painted black and no carpet on them and they are to narrow and twisty they are dangerous when you step out of the bedroom you could fall down the stairs. The shower was broken The toilet was filthy the fridge was full of ice,and lots of other things to much to mention all in all we came home on tuesday not a very good holiday at all.”
