“This was our second time staying at Sandy Cove, and the location remains the absolute highlight - peaceful, scenic and right by the water. It’s ideal for all ages, whether you’re after a relaxing break or something a little more adventurous, particularly if you enjoy spending time in or on the sea. During our first visit, the property was immaculate, which set high expectations for our return. Ahead of this second stay, we were travelling with a baby and toddler and requested an early check in, Harry the host was very accommodating and kindly agreed, which we appreciated. The property is beginning to show signs of wear and tear, which is understandable in a well used holiday home, but it was more noticeable due to a general drop in cleanliness. We found a sandwich crust down the side of one chair and the fridge-freezer, oven and bins hadn’t been properly cleaned. The floor also required a more thorough clean. Outside, the grass needed cutting, and unfortunately, there were a few piles of dog mess hidden in the long grass - not ideal with young children. One additional note - one of the king-size beds had a waterproof mattress protector, which made it quite uncomfortable to sleep on. A more breathable alternative would make a big difference. Sandy Cove still has lots of charm and remains a great base in a beautiful part of Cornwall. With a bit more attention to cleaning and maintenance, it could easily return to the high standard we experienced on our first visit.”

“Extremely clean, very comfortable and area of lovely walks. A couple of minutes walk to lovely Fistral Beach. Only one suggestion, perhaps a blind or small curtain on window above table/sofa, as the light shining on the tv makes it almost possible to watch. Otherwise, it’s lovely.”

“We enjoyed a wonderful holiday on Skye, in a superb cottage (cnoc an theine). The booking process was straightforward, we were kept well informed via email, and when I emailed with a query it was dealt with promptly. we do think the booking fee is high, £60. we have never paid anything like this in our many years of self catering holidays.”

“Lovely cosy cottage, comfortable, everything we wanted was there. Enclosed garden, good range of outdoor seating. Could do with an umbrella for shade. Owner very helpful. Shame there is no easy access to the Camel Trail. Have to walk inland to Padstow.”

“Good site and very easy to use with alot of filters so finding everything you want is easy. The only negative is with the fully enclosed tag to these cottages. Like us if you have a houdini type dog then you need to know the cottage is fully secure, so more pictures of outside area/fencing or state its dog escape proof. I hate to think how many dog friendly cottages we have dismissed due to this.”

“Very easy site to use, information spot on. Details provided were excellent and the property was super, a real gem with everything you needed to hand. The owners met us and went through all we needed to know, super welcome scones, jam and cream. Great to have a freezer, with ice packs already inside, ready to use.”

“The property at Castlerigg above Keswick was very good. The views from the property are fabulous and the location offers "easy" access to both Keswick and Walla Crag. The Bus stop to Keswick/Ambleside stops at the end of the lane and there is a local farm shop 100 yards from the front door with the local hotel also offering occasional bar. We would definitely be looking to book the property again. The only complaint would be that the third toilet did not have a wash basin.”

“Amazing place with amazing views. Very quirky with secrets to find. Everything you need in the kitchen and a comfy bed. If you like reading there's a large library and games to play. Henry was very helpful and gave us a coffee on the house. On the down side, lots of stairs to climb. All in all a fab week.”
