Worst customer service experience. Bought air conditioner to cool my apartment from the heat wave! Got delayed for 3 days in Vancouver no reason given meanwhile I'm cooking in 100+ degree Oregon summer weather.

Home Depot contracts out to incompetent and I believe overseas vendors. I ordered a freezer, went to the trouble of ensuring an easy delivery. I mistakenly purchased extra food so the freezer would not sit empty. On the delivery date, 31 minutes before the end of the delivery window I get a message that one of the delivery crew was injured and they would try to deliver the next day. When I did not hear from them, I call and was told it will not be delivered for another seven days. I call Home Depot (I believe to an overseas call center) and ended up texting to be told it will not be delivered for another eight days as it missed the delivery truck. I had also purchased the five-year extended warranty. I'm glad I discovered the incompetence with a cooler of food rather than a freezer of food. Order is canceled and now I am begging freezer space from friends until I can get my own freezer. I would recommend dealing with Home Depot with hesitancy. I will no longer do business for large purchases.

They will not return an item I purchased without a receipt period. Terrible business decision. I will no longer shop here

ordered a bunch of plumbing parts on 8-7, scheduled delivery for 8-9 sat 10 feet from my front door from 6 am to 11:50 am when i received a call saying no one answered the door and i'd have to reschedule. i have 2 fairly large dogs who always lay down next to the door and love to bark at any person coming near the house or cars pulling up to the house. The dogs never alerted, i was close enough to the door and front porch that i can hear someone walking up the front steps and i never heard anything either. Called to figure out what was going on and they made me reschedule for today 8/10 between 6 am and 8 pm. So again i sat near the door all day and again no delivery. Spoke with a manager and now they'll put everything on a home depot truck instead of the courier and i'll have the parts on the 12th in the morning. so a $500 shipment of plumbing parts has already racked up over $500 in wages since i had to take time off for the delivery

I ordered a pretty pricey ($1300) bunk bed set with trundle and dresser for my boys at the end of June. There was suppose to be three boxes. Not only was the shipment a week later than they said it was gonna be, I only received boxes 2 and 3 first. Then after compaining to customer service, about a week later I received box one. Non of which came with ANY screws. Went to the local Home Depot and they did try to help but no store carries that many screws and informed me it would have to come from the warehouse. Called customer service again and they FINALLY placed another order for screws which is going to take another 5-21 business days so I am stuck with all the slabs of wood to put together with no screws. For the amount I paid for that bed the last thing I would expect is for it to be missing is ALL the screws! Never again with The Home Depot. They will NEVER get another dime out of me. I will deliberately drive out of my way to go to Lowes for any other home needs!

My name is Robert I purchased 90 bundles of shingle price 2500 and had them delivered upon checking shingles they was wrong color so I had them picked up and I went to the store to get a refund they told me since it was that much I would have to wait for a check that could be 21 days after paying with a debit card from my bank so now the have the shingle and my money and can't do nothing about it so I bet the house I will never ever do business with home depot ever again and if anyone reads this start going to lowes

I ordered two item from my local home depot, their web side indicated that both items were in stock. I got an email from home depot indicating that my one item was ready for pick-up and the other item would be shipped to my house. I called the local home depot and inquired as to why one was ready and the other shipped when their web site indicated both item in stock. And that I wanted to cancel the second item. The manager told me since it was past 45 min from the order they could not cancel. I did not get the email informing me that one item would be shipped past the 45min. cut off. I called corporate and asked to have the order canceled and why was it to be shipped since i did not request that. corporate said since past 45min. could not cancel and that their system must have glitched and made it a home delivery. All I got was a bunch lame ass excuses as to why I was getting sodomised. Home depot customer service sucks and they don't give a damn about anything.

I ordered Quartz kitchen countertops through Home Depot who outsources installation to Colonial Marble and Granite in King of Prussia, PA. My experience with Colonial was very poor. I rec'd an email from Cheryl at 4:45pm the day before the install to confirm the arrival window. Based on that I had the contractor turn off water, remove old countertops, range and sink. The next day tech called to say he was on his way, but he only had the counter for the island. The other piece broke in fabrication! No one made me aware of this, so now I have no workable kitchen. I called Colonial and Jessica said she would schedule me for the following Friday. I could not cook and had to do dishes in the bathroom for a week. By end of day the following Thursday I had not heard from Colonial so I called them. Jessica said I was taken off the schedule for Friday and techs would be there the following Tuesday. No apology, just couldn't get to me on Friday. Install was done on Tuesday BUT they did not have the backsplash that should have been included in the template. Tech said it was not on his paperwork. I showed him where it had been marked by the guy who did the template, but he just stated it wasn't on his paperwork. So I paid for something I did not receive. I have tried to call Colonial to be credited, but they are not returning my phone calls. Going almost 2 weeks without a functional kitchen then not having the job done entirely is unacceptable. Home Depot needs to find another counter top contractor for their Delaware and Maryland customers. I have other work to be done, but will not go through Home Depot knowing they outsource and are not checking on the quality of these companies service or customer care.

I’ve been very happy with Home Depot. There customer service department is awesome. They are fast, friendly, and happy to help make your experience great. I’ve had to return a few products (it was a compatibility problem by the company, not Home Depot). It was seamless. They have friendly, knowledgeable staff and are always willing to help out.

I ordered an item last year and used the subscribe & save function. I made the incorrect assumption that Home Depot would notify me in some way before they shipped a subscription item. Every other company I have a subscriptions for does this. Unfortunately, homedepot.com does not do this. They only notify you the day they ship the subscription item. They sent a shipment notification email my at around 1am, and I attempted to cancel the order as soon as I saw it around 8am. By that time it was already too late to cancel the order. I've since moved so they ended up shipping the item to an old address so now it's become a hassle to get the item to be able to return it. On top of that I had changed my billing address and they still somehow still charged my credit card. There is a reason reputable companies send an advanced notification for subscription orders. Homedepot.com chooses not to do this so they can make more money in a somewhat unethical way, so I'll opt to not do business with them in the future.

Home Depot ripped me off. We ordered a 6 pack of smoke detectors and instead got a box with one smoke detector that is missing the wires necessary to install. Called HD and they claim there is nothing that they can do for me. They claimed the box that they shipped weighed 5lbs, but it did not. It only weighed 1.2lbs. Guess I will be shopping at Lowes from now on.

I’ve been trying to order stair stringers for the last two months. We ordered the first set and received the wrong item, okay that happens we get it. Then we re order a different type but similar measurements, again the wrong item we received previously came to our door step. We asked multiple locations for something similar at the store they all said none was in stock but to order online AGAIN. Guess what!? The same WRONG stringer arrives again. We get estimated delivery days for weeks later (which is okay) but then I get emails saying it’s on its way. And arrives within a few days and it’s the wrong item. I think it’s pure laziness. I feel like we are just getting sent anything so we aren’t in the “queue” anymore. I do not live near a Home Depot so having to go store to store really far for an item (which we can “get” online) is ridiculous. Getting turned away from one to go to another that “has” it to get told they don’t carry those. Im very understanding but this is infuriating to say the least. Such a waste of time, money and energy shopping with Home Depot.

We could go into a long narrative of the lack of customer service displayed by Home Depot, but we’ll let the following history speak for itself. Some training in being “pro-active” in customer service, along with a total revamp of their notification system is highly recommended. APRIL 1 – Ordered appliance package deal consisting of frig, range, dishwasher, & microwave. Delivery scheduled for June 18. APRIL (near the end) – Received credit call bill. Home Depot had already put charge on account. Called Home Depot to complain, and was told this was standard practice. MAY – Received call that dishwasher model needs to be changed; agreed to change model no. JUNE 11 – Received instructions to prepare for delivery for June 18 JUNE 15 – Received notification that delivery needs to be changed to July 9 JULY 8 – Received text “ONE DAY AWAY! YOUR APPLIANCE DELIVERY IS SCHEDULED FOR TOMORROW.” Also received notification “YOUR APPLIANCE IS ALREADY ON THE TRUCK READY TO BE DELIVERED TO YOU.” Also “APPOINTMENT TIME FRAME IS SET THE NIGHT BEFORE YOUR DELIVERY BASED ON THAT DAY’S TRUCK ROUTE.” JULY 9 – Received text “YOUR APPLIANCE IS SCHEDULED TO BE DELIVERED TODAY.” But never received any phone call or electronic notification of time of day. Contacted Home Depot via phone, and was told that dishwasher could not be found; dock search was underway. If dishwasher was not found, Home Depot would deliver other appliances, and refund the dishwasher. We would need to call back on Tuesday (July 13). And was told they couldn’t call us because they received calls all day, and could not set aside a time to call us. JULY 13 – Called Home Depot to get status. They did not find dishwasher or ANY OF OUR APPLIANCES! Home Depot wanted to reschedule our delivery to August 13. We told Home Depot to refund our money.

I made an online to home purchase of multiple products. All arrived except for one, there were due to be 3 days of deliveries. When I called homedepot I spoke to a very friendly hard to understand woman that explained UPS had delivered my package and left it at my garage.....I don't have a garage. I told her I don't have a garage, she tells me that I will have to call UPS and try to find out what happened and then call my credit card company and dispute the charges because I hadn't received the item. What type of customer service was that supposed to be? If I still want the product I will have to place another order of course.....lol, not likely! I have enough to do! I will deal with a place that actually makes sure I get the products I order, instead of telling me to clean up the mess when it doesn't get here. Thanks for nothing. Will never order online again with them. I have no problem with the local store, except I don't get time to go anymore. V. Hugg

Home depot hired a subcontracter out of NC to give me a quote on installing flooring. He inflated the measurements by 1.5 times larger than the 9x12 room saying it was 190sq feet this inflated the fee offthe chart. I have been told the the good subcontractors dont want to work for home depot because of the pay. But cheating customers isnt the way either.

Our experience with this HD was a nightmare and we ended up canceling our flooring job a month and a half into it. The people in the flooring department do not know how to process there orders and installs correctly and wasted a lot of our time. we got a measurement done and I received a 22 page .pdf estimate that only stated, let me know if you have any questions. I waiting 2 days thinking they would call and go over the 22 pages they sent but no call, so I called HD and talked to Sasha, the lady who helped us originally. She said she didn't know why I got that and that we had to come in and go over it and pay for the order. My landlord and I went in the next day and it took an hour to pay for it because neither Sasha or the customer service ladies knew how to process a payment correctly for $6300! Isn't this what they do every day! We were then told they had to order the flooring and they would call us when it was to be delivered. We were told the install would take a day, that we could leave the product in the garage once it was delivered and the we only needed the threshold delivery for this reason. We were also told that the installers would move 6 items per room. (this is random but important later). We were then ghosted for a month until they told us the trim we wanted wasn't available so we had to pick a new color out. It took them a month to tell us this! My wife went to the closest store where the flooring associate was rude to her to the point that she left and went to the next closest store. They picked out the new item and the associate called the Truxel store to let them know. The Truxel store never even added that item to our order after my wife wasted 2 hours doing what they asked. I tried following up with the flooring department 3 times, the first time customer service bounced my call around for 20 minutes, the second time I was on hold for 30 minutes then the last time I was on hold for 10 minutes before I gave up. I called corporate on a Friday to see if they could help because we were having nothing but problems. The man took my info and said someone would call me back in 30 minutes. The next day I called again as I didn't hear anything back and I was told they had no record of my call, but that she would enter my info and have someone call me back on Monday. Tuesday I one again called cooperate and was told the lady from Monday did not process my call correctly and that it would still be another 24 to 48 hours before I received a call back. We then finally got a call for delivery and set it for Monday June 28th and the Install was set for July 14th. The installers stated we had to keep the product in the house, that it would take 3 days to do the install and that they would only move 2 items per room. This was a major issue because it contradicted what we had been told and my wife and I both work and cannot just take 3 days off to babysit the installers. Also, if my wife was home in the morning when they came, as we had planned for the one day, she would not be able to move all the items out by herself as we were told 6 would be moved per room. At this time I was still waiting for a call back from cooperate hoping we could resolve some of these issues but still had heard nothing back. I received an email on Sunday stating we had our set delivery for the next day and that it was a threshold delivery and it defined a threshold delivery, to the outside of the house. Again this was a problem because I work mornings and only my wife is home and she is not responsible to bring all of this in the house. I called the Truxel store and asked for a manager. I spoke to Butch and explained everything in detail also stating that we don't even have a delivery time, we had a 14 hour window and that was not going to work. He worked everything out for a set time on Monday and we also discussed compensation for all of this hassle. I asked for half of the install to be completed, about $1500 or I wanted the order canceled because this had been a nightmare. He stated he would only comp up to $500 and that he would have to get with his manager and get back to me. Monday comes around, ready for delivery and they only delivered part of the order. I didn't call HD at this point because I was just tired of dealing with this and it wasn't worth it at this point. Shawn called me back later on Monday and said all they can do is $500 off my order. I told him they didn't even deliver the whole order and he said we had the rest coming on Tuesday. I explained to him that I knew nothing about this and if that was the case they could have just delivered it all on Tuesday instead of coming twice!!! he didn't seem to be bothered at all by the incompetence of his employees. I told him $500 was not close to being worth it and at this point I wasn’t dealing with HD and wanted to cancel the order. They set an apt for Tuesday (the next day) to pick up the flooring. He was supposed to get back to me on how the refund would be processed, if we needed to go in or if it would go back onto the card automatically. Thursday rolls around and still no call back from Shawn so one again I CALLED HOME DEPOT and asked him how the refund would be processed. He then told me they already issued the refund and emailed me a receipt. In this whole process I must say that the only thing that went according to schedule with no hassle at all was canceling the appointment and having the flooring picked up. They were professional and even called to tell me they would be a little late. I don't know if anyone will actually read this or even care but I care. This should not have happened. I have been a loyal HD customer my whole life, I have spent thousands of dollars there and with the refinance on the house, planned on spending thousands more fixing things up. After this experience, I will never shop at a HD again. My hard earned money will not go to a company that treats their customers this way and are so unprofessional. I now drive the extra 10 minutes to Lowe's and will be going there tomorrow to get the process started on our flooring along with the bathroom remodels. Originally I tried to post this review on the HD website but it was denied saying it did not meet their ‘guideline’ requirements. After reading the requirements, that was a load of bull and nothing I said was on their list of things not to say. They don't even want honest feedback from their customers!

his has been on order since May, last tow delivery dates were missed due to damage at the dock. 3 months and still no dryer! The 1st attempt - they did not see the order for installation and took dryer back, 2nd attempt - day off they called and said it was damaged, 3rd attempt someone showed up with the installation parts but not the dryer. I called the 800 number yesterday and the lady stated she sees in the notes this one was also damaged and their departments are not communicating with each other. She said call back tomorrow since she is not able to call me and she is there to answer the phones, but no one can assist with the issue and to call back! Now I am on hold for 15min with no resolution.
