I purchased a washer from Home Depot specifically because the washer would be delivered in 3 days. I waited for my delivery, checking for the status frequently only to get a text , 10 minutes after my window, which stated I had been rescheduled for 4 days later! I have understand things happen, but fail to understand why I wasn’t rescheduled for the next business day. Customer service is unable to solve my problem since it’s a third party delivery. This greatly impacts my willingness to make another appliance purchase from Home Depot especially since Lowe’s in only a couple of miles from them.

A Shower of Incompetence Well, I thought I was ordering a shower from Home Depot. What I actually got was a masterclass in how not to run a delivery service. According to Home Depot, my shower was "delivered" weeks ago. Odd, considering my driveway was suspiciously shower-free. After spending three delightful hours on the phone with eight (yes, eight!) different customer service reps—each more confused than the last—the best they could offer was a refund. Apparently, asking them to locate the driver or contact the warehouse was too ambitious. Fast-forward three weeks, and guess what? My shower magically appears! Not on my porch. Not with a knock or a note. Just dumped in my driveway, beautifully blocking in my car like it belonged there all along. No warning. No explanation. Just... there. And the best part? The refund had already been issued. So now I’ve got a surprise shower and the vague moral dilemma of owning something I technically didn't pay for. Bravo, Home Depot. Truly top-tier logistics and communication. This is your retailer if you're into mystery deliveries, customer service bingo, and driveways turned obstacle courses.

After ordering a dishwasher with haul away and installation, my delivery was left half complete. The delivery person told me he could not complete my order due to a plastic valve and they would have to send out a plumber to complete my delivery. When the logistic manager called to it was not to schedule the plumber but to inform me that his driver lied and that's how he trains them so they can get on with their day. He told me people expect them to replace their valves and install the dishwasher just because the paid for it. I informed him that most people would not expect it if HIS DRIVER DIDNT TWLL THEM THAT. Corporate does not thing liar who give false information to clients is a problem.

Called customer service to ask for a new card. After 45 minutes, they continued to ask the SAME QUESTIONS--"do you have your card?" "what is your name?" what is your phone number? do you have another phone number? Do you have another computer? I still got NO help. They could not send me a new card. I could not log in online anymore, and now the added user on my account cannot use his card anymore. We have had an account for 25 years, and these incompetent customer support people have now left us with no access to our account! PLEASE Home Depot, update your tech support people. We can no longer shop at Home Depot with our credit card because of them. They were useless, and so confused.

Home Depot customer support Associates know absolutely nothing about the products that they're selling. They can't even pull them up online when I'm able to easily. Total incompetence. So I just bought a John Deere instead of a troy-bilt.

I don't like being asked to scan ID into system when just purchasing a can of spray paint. There's no reason Home Depot needs that information. Unhappy

Yes the employee of Home Depot, Chris Bofo, in the plumbing department, made me very happy, very satisfied and made my day! Chris was able to exceed my expectation by explaining how to fix and install the sink faucet Gasket of my kitchen. He guided me where to pick the right gasket. Finally I went to my kitchen and did what he told me to do and everything went very well and no more leakage! My sincere thanks to Chris and Home Depot!

Never, Ever, trust The Home Depot delivery! My refrigerator, scheduled for delivery on Thursday, June 5, has never arrived. A second delivery, scheduled for delivery on Saturday, June 7 was also a no-show. I am currently trying to track down the refrigerator, for which I have already paid in full, it is MIA! Several hours of hold time and conversations with customer service, they are fully aware, and still waiting on an answer and resolution. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!!

This was without a doubt the worst delivery I ever experienced. Pathetic a company so large has such an incompetent delivery system. Called customer service, thought that was going good until cut off. These people have no clue about how to treat customer!A ZERO is a more appropriate rating!! William Rogers

Went in to get the Ryobi tool that Home Depot advertises on there web site. You buy the charger and batteries. You get a tool for free. I asked the first associate about the Ryobi deal. She totally blew me off. I finally found another associate and he knew exactly what I was talking about. It helps talking to the right person

I have been a Home Depot loyal customer for over 16 years. Today, I had to visit the Crooked Hill road Commack/ Smithtown location for items that were in this store. I have never experienced an assistant store manager so disinterested with customer service. My husband and I purchased 8 pieces of composite decking for our house project. The 12’ boards (which we already paid for) did not fit in our suv. We needed someone from lumber to help us cut 2’ off. No one from lumber was available. Alan (who was from a different department) was told by someone on the phone that they do not cut composite decking. I asked to speak with a manger hoping for help. Instead I found myself speaking with an assistant manager named Angelo. Who explained that they do not cut the composite decking because it’s plastic and the particles fly in your face. His suggestion to me was to cut it with a hand saw in one of the Aisles myself. After I explained how ridiculous that sounded he told me I can rent a truck for $20! Those were his only two suggestions for me. Thankfully, Alan decided to help us and cut the boards. Although, I left satisfied with Alan’s initiative to help us. I was not happy with the customer service from Angelo. It should never be ok to lie to customers because of lack of work ethic. Im not sure if he encourages the staff to avoid machine cutting with these kinds of ridiculous excuses or he is just clueless. I don’t plan on visiting this location again. It was my one and only negative experience with someone in a supervisor position or with any Home Depot employee.

Dishwasher Installation Disaster – I Had to Do It Myself I purchased a Maytag dishwasher from Home Depot along with professional installation. The installers showed up, took one look at the space, and walked away — citing “missing side panels” as their reason. These were cosmetic trim pieces, not structural or code-related. My home was inspected just weeks before (April 2025) and passed with zero electrical or code issues. The previous dishwasher had been installed and working in the exact same space for years. After multiple follow-ups and vague excuses, I had to install the dishwasher myself — with no professional training. It’s now working perfectly. There was nothing preventing their team from doing the job except a lack of desire to do it. Home Depot has yet to issue a refund for the service I paid for, nor have they taken accountability for the experience. I wasted time, lost work, and got ghosted by their customer care team after being told a manager would “review” it. That was days ago. I highly advise others to think twice before trusting Home Depot for appliance installation. If it’s not 100% cookie-cutter, they’ll leave it behind and vanish.

I ordered a sectional sofa from Home Depot online. It was shipped quickly but in 3 deliveries coming from GA, NJ and CA. I then got an email giving us 3 different days for delivery of each part and that they were using FedEx for delivery. This was for my daughter who lives on a second floor. FedEx do not carry things into a home. At the time of ordering this was not mentioned. Nor was the fact that the sectional sofa was coming from 3 different places and would have 3 different delivery days so my daughter would have to take 3 days off work. I phoned Home Depot and was told tough. We can deliver it how we like. Then they blamed the vendor that they got it from and I could try contacting them to get one delivery. I said that as their customer they are responsible wand I asked them to contact the vendor. He said no. And they would not contact FedEx either. The customer service rep was rude and did not care. Everytime I have tried to get deliverires from Home Depot it has been a problem. They have the worst delivery system and the worst online customer service. There is absolutely no way will I ever buy a product for delivery from them again. I have bought sofas and other furniture over the years many times and everyone has always delivered them in one delivery. Plus all furniture has been carried into the home. Home Depot has no place in the furniture business if they do not deliver in a way that every other company does. There are many other businesses out there who would love the business.

Elizabeth Home Depot employee at the Gladstone location in Kansas City Missouri is outstanding. My wife and I were clueless on how to fix our cracked shower floor. Elizabeth was very patient, professional, knowledgeable on what we needed to get done. She excused herself for 10 minutes to help out another person and immediately came back And sat down with us and ordered our part from the computer in the flooring section. She also mentioned if we had any questions or any other concerns to reach out to her. Elizabeth is a great asset to Home Depot. Not too many out there like this.

If I could give a 0, I would. We purchased a door on March 24 and was told that it would take 8-10 weeks. We are still waiting for someone to let us know what's going on. When I called, they are telling me that we agreed to 3 to 4 months. There's no way we would have agreed to that because we do not have a front door and we explained that to them at the time of purchase. We were given a date of May 29th and it's now June 3, hurricane season and nothing. A very angry customer who has used HD for years.
