I had a very disappointing experience with a subcontractor hired through Home Depot for installation services. From the outset, there were issues, as one of the workers criticized his colleague for forgetting tools. Their task was to install a pre-built cabinet, toolbox, and ceiling storage rack in my garage. The installation of the cabinets took an excessively long four hours and was done so poorly that the cabinets are now unusable due to the use of incorrect tools. Additionally, the walls were significantly roughed up during their failed attempts to locate wall studs. The situation worsened when they incorrectly began mounting the ceiling rack, only to abandon the job halfway and leave without completing it. They assured me they would call back to resolve the issue, but it seemed their upcoming holiday break was their primary focus rather than my installation. It's been three weeks, and my garage remains in disarray as I await a resolution from Home Depot. This experience has led me to conclude that hiring a Home Depot subcontractor for any home installation is a risk not worth taking, as they demonstrated an inability to competently handle even basic tasks. Adding to my frustration, the new contractor, who was supposed to come and assess the situation, rescheduled at the last minute, further prolonging the resolution of this issue.

May of 2020, I purchased a wonderful rider mower. Dec 1st it started smoking. Should have been no problem as I purchased a three yr extended warranty. I called Home Depot and they referred me to a company which is supposed to pick it up and repair . But, they gave me the phone number and said that I need phone - which I did . After 3 days of waiting ( without a return call) , I called again. I was told that I need to wait for THEM to call me. Today it has been one weekl. I called Home Depot. The lady said ‘ no worries’ they will call you when they are ready to pick the mower up - ok ? I said ( very softly and kind) ‘ Not ok’ I need someone to help me now - as I paid for the extended warranty. SHE HUNG UP on me. Wow, what kind of customer service is this ? After paying almost $300. For extended warranty , this is no way to be treated .

Do not purchase appliances from Home Depot! I purchased appliances in July and from that point on it was a horrible experience that lasted through December 1st. In total I spent 6-7 hours on the phone trying to get resolution. I had long wait times, employees hanging up after they did not know how to solve the problem. I purchased a washer with a pedestal. The washer was defective and Home Depot sent another out but would not use the brand new pedestal that was delivered 2 days earlier but would not send an new one either. Again hours on the phone. Then I had the wrong color washer delivered. White glove service was worse then the driver taking the machine out of the box. Many more details but the resolution team granted me a credit of $368. dollars that I was told was being processed to my card. Over two months later I hadn't received the credit. I called and a very nasty representative, Lauren, told me she put the credit through today. I asked to speak with a Manager on the executive team and she would not allow me to but said she'd send my complaint up their chain. The appliances I couldn't get from Home Depot because they were out of stock I bought from Costco. A pleasure to deal with and an extra year warranty. I see a pattern of horrible service from Home Depot in these reviews. Believe people and spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

I have been a customer of Home Depot since they opened. Various stores and recently more on line. Recently had an item sent that appeared as a returned item. it was a returned item . I let HD customer service know that I was disappointed and since the item worked I would keep it. They offered a partial refund and I told them no thanks I’ll just take my business to Lowe’s . Not a single attempt to reconcile to keep my business . Simply I understand and a goodbye. Then wanting a survey filled out. Just not the way to treat a 44 year customer who over the years has spent 10’s of thousands in your stores to just be thrown away. Loyalty has its limits and I just reached it with Home Depot

I ordered a bathtub from Home Depot online on Sept 2nd. As of today (11/28) I still do not have the tub. The first took many calls to schedule a delivery for. When it arrived, I was not warned, it was left in my driveway, and when opened, had a crack so it had to be returned. More scheduling for the pickup. The second tub has been scheduled with no shows at least 4 times. No one seems to be clear whether the tub is in town or not. At this point, I have the number of the truck company to deal with them directly, not even the freight company that Home Depot defers to. So, I am two levels beyond HD to figure out my tub. This is beyond disappointing and frustrating. Needless to say, I will NEVER again order a major item from them. Irresponsibility and chaos from start to finish

I ordered a five piece patio set and it was delivered. The box had been damaged and I think it was due to the delivery, not sure. Anyways, I put it together and it was damaged. I called the customer service line and spoke with a lady and she said for me to pout it back into the box and they would pick it up. I told her that it took me two days as I am 72 years old to put it together and I was not taking it apart and trying to put back into a box. She was not very helpful or nice. I went to the Home depot on Cortez Road and asked for a manager. The young girl called for a manage and he never came to see me but talked with her about my problem. I showed her pictures of the damage and the box that it came in. He only wanted to give me $100.00 off. I was asking for 25% off which I thought was fair since the coffee table was damaged in severs places and the chair had a defect from the factory and 1 cushion was damaged as well. He would not give me $150.00 off so I said for them to come get it and I was not taking it apart and boxing it up. They were suppose to contact me about picking it up and set a date. I was called out of state on an emergency and I was called stating that UPS was there to pick up a package! They were not going to take 5 pieces of furniture on there truck not boxed up. I called the Cortez store and asked for a manger and spoke with Jason Arnhart. I told him the situation and he was very accommodating. He said he would offer me the $150.00 if I would keep the furniture and I agreed. I did not want to go through finding another set that I liked and putting it together again. He gave me an adjustment on my bill in one day and I was very satisfied with his customer service. I wish more people would be more caring and cared about there customers as much as Jason. I for one appreciate his help in resolving this issue and we both walked away winners. Home Depot should be proud to have Jason as an employee, not like the other manager was at all. It would have cost him more to have UPS or the other company that they sent out pick up the furniture than $150.00. Thank you Jason Arnhart for superior customer service skills! I would gibe Jason a 5 start rating the four should of been a 2 with the other service I received.

Bought 40 cases of tiles to redo my r.v . floor, one I liked the color, second the lifetime residential warranty. Got an upcoming repair, we have to replace the sub flooring due to water damage, went to buy 3 more cases for the job. Only to be told they don't carry that style any longer. So what's the point of saying the tiles have a lifetime warranty when now I can't even obtain a matching replacement at my own expense. I'm facing the fact of having to rip up and out the current floor and having to buy an additional 40 more cases of flooring so the tiles all match.

Online order for dishwasher took over 1 1/2 hours with customer service & new card service for discount. Same questions & directions without help & no discount. No new card # sent via email. Been with Home Depot 30+ years & have now I have canceled my card, I'm done with Home Depot for they cannot seem to function internally & quickly satisfy customers.

Online ordering experience was a nightmare. From orders being canceled by the company two week out...to multiple delivery rescheduling of the reordered item. I will no longer be a customer of home Depot. I would have ordered it from Lowe's but they did not carry it.

Bought a 3'000.00 refrigerator that took 20 days to set up a delivery & then when they set a time to deliver it was between 3:00pm & 7:00pm well they called at the last 10 minutes . When the guy came in he tried to find every excuse that it wouldn't fit in the house knowing that was a scam & then he stated the supply lines had corrosion that meant it had a leak witch that was a lie. After 10 minutes of arguing he said he would have to go to the truck & call his supervisor, well i looked out all i seen weas tail lights after going to home depo & conversing with the manager witch tried to put all the blame on me, well after another week i finaly got my delivery & that delivery guy didn't have any trouble at all & was so kind. Needless to say i'll never buy another appliance from home depo again.

My husband bought two outdoor patio heaters online. When we went to pick them up today they told us they would have to give us a refund becuase they sold all of them. They gave us one, which seemed to be a returned one as box was opened and in very bad shape. We asked what would happen if it didn't work, they told us they would refund the money back. The heaters were purchased for a family gathering. We never thought they would have sell what we had paid as they were available when we did so. Employee was not helpful at all and had no explanation on why they would have happen. Very disappointed with customer service!

We purchased a garage freezer. the product was excellent but the truck driver ran over a soggy lawn and caused over $300 in damage. I reported it within 48 hours to Home Depot along with pictures and an estimate of the cost. It went from department to department before I got an email a month later from the insurer that my claim was being denied because they didn't receive it within 48 hours. Further, they refuse to respond to my emails regarding the issue. This is unacceptable.

I paid Home Depot to install flooring in the contract it states all pad and tack strips will be glued. Thier installers came and stapled and nail into my radiant heat pipes. I informed the store and Customer Service through various methods each time pushed off to someone else. It has been 6 days and I still have not gotten a single rep to schedule an appt to come assess the damage. They are also so far refusing to refund me for the carpet I had to rip out myself to stop it from continuing to damage my house (as it is wet) or for the money I paid to have it install even though it was not done to the contract. I have told them repeatedly to please come see the damage and I can not get any help.

There are some of the staff that are not pleasant, i used to have a bad experienced but since i met Kim, she is the most pleasant and very helpful and accommodating one. My husband and myself praises her for her sincere and heartfelt service. Anything that you need to know she explains very well. I wish other staff will learn from her , for us, she is the best. See you again Kim. God bless you.

We are purchasing plantation shutters from the Blue Ridge, GA Home Depo. We are building a home and have been back and forth between both Lowes and Home Depot over the last 5 months. Josephine facilitated this process in a seamless fashion. She was so helpful and patient with both the shutters and our flooring. She displayed stellar customer service and provided the single best experience we have ever had with Home Depot. We wish that all employees could be like her. She needs to be in a leadership role as she is an example on how to do it right. She deserves a raise!

Aa an employee of this company in Palm Springs, I have come to realize that the people in positions of authority, are not as educated as you might think, and take any kind of concerns from employees with no concerns. You can bet the HR or manager WILL NOT CALL YOU TO ADDRESS THE ISSUES. Nor will they act accordingly to others that have violated company policies and or behaviors. When it comes to "transferring" you are pretty much on your own. I was told to go to the store of choice and speak with them, "if" a position is open. Well, I did, with 3 hours of driving, only to discuss the transfer, with some certainty that the HR manager will get in touch with me on the next day when at work. She never did in phone call or email. When I called to see if she worked today, "a little, rightfully annoyed," the Assistant Manager at the new store, wanted to say I had an attitude and to call back tomorrow and hung up the phone. No regard or concerns for this "employee" that drove 3 hours to finalize this transfer. They DIDN'T CARE. Additionally, there is no OVERSIGHT OVER THESE MANAGERS. The MYTHDHR line is a third party take a complaint and file it to nowhere. This company is not like what they preach. When it comes to the LGBTQ+ Community, they say in Palm Springs, oh, were gonna march in the Pride Parade, I didn't see them, nor did I see a banner within the store to tell customers of this event or to demonstrate they support the LGBTQ+ Community. It's like they are embarrassed that customers might be offended. The company has issues, and for those that are intelligent and have degrees, only to seek extra work, take my words seriously, so you are prepared. That said, I'm looking for work with people that do care and are academically intelligent and really go the extra mile to assist employees asking for help. I'm so DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS COMPANY, AND ITS ALL OF THE LOCATI

Had to call store to correct a billing error; never got through to the person I needed to talk to. Twice no one answered the phone, rang over 20 times; finally got through, was transferred and twice was disconnected; and twice was told to hold and was apparently forgotten; that's six calls over a 40 minute period. I had to drive to the store to get the store to resolve their error; and that took another HOUR as they tried to figure out their error.

Ordered kitchen cabinets sept 6 online using my hd card 0 interest for 18 months. 14 cabinets said to arrive in less than two weeks three cabinets not available until Oct 19. We figured we would be ok, would complete other parts of house first while waiting. Oct 19 came and went no cabinets. Called was on hold told trouble ticket started. Called two days later said cabinets would ship ice 25. Oct 25 came and went no cabinets. Called again put in hold told no one was sure where cabinets were but I should call manufacturers directly. So I did. They wanted to know why I called them since I was a hd customer told them I was told to. Today I called for the fourth time. It’s Nov 9, no one knows where cabinets are. But they are still working on it. I thought about reordering and just csncelling the original order but new delivery date was Feb 1. I was on hold for just under two hours while they searched. I checked my email at 5:07 and my three cabinets order had been cancelled. I called and asked who cancelled it and how was I ever goi g to get them?? They said just reorder and try again!! Cabinet prices ere much higher and delivery date out tgree more months Feb 1!!!!!but I had no choice. Guy on phone placed the order for me and gave me prices from sept 6 with an additional discount. Then told me that hd would still try to rush the shipment date. When I asked about my 0 interest for 28 months he told me I would have to call card services to get that fixed!!!! Other 13 cabinets got list and finally showed up at the neighbors house down the road. Thank goodness not a rainy day. I am not sure how I got in this situation?? I think I should just return all 17 cabinets and take my chances trying to buy them somewhere else ?? I am exhausted and very angry! Would give them zero stars if available!!
