Have purchased Hotter shoes for many years and had good wear and life / usage out of the shoes. On my more recent purchase of “Thor Olive GTX shoes” the soles developed fine cracks within a couple of months on the areas that flexed while walking and the cracks have continued to “grow” with occasional wear and are now letting in water. Purchased from online store / site they delivered quickly (with other shoes ordered) and are comfortable however they are useless after a few months wear except on a dry day ! I contacted Hotter customer service about my concerns and they indicated send back (at own expense) they would test and make a decision ...... No confidence in the proposed action or the tone of the reply giving me the feeling of being fobbed off with just additional annoyance of a postal bill to return the shoes to add to my frustration. Hotter shoes are now an expensive brand and expect quality to match, I paid for the Thor “gortex” shoes with aim of get better waterproof qualities and decent wear qualities and they are now useless in the wet with the sole failing in such a short time. Sadly despite being a customer for many years My confidence in quality and customer care is now lacking, especially after the customer services response to my issue.

Purchased the easy sandal for years.Have arthrtis in my ankles so always found these to be very supportive .However, purchased another two pairs this year as i felt i couldn't be without them even in the winter months.I tried on the new pair's which were fine on the width just put them away till needed - what a mistake !.Due, to Hotter being unable to supply me ( which i was willing to pay for ) with a new pair of insoles decided to use one of the new pairs. The new pair was tipping me forward as the heel height is higher, also there dont seem to be any support around the straps, my feet are moving around. While, i appreciate i have health issues the sandals were fine before they messed around with them.Won't be buying these expensive sandals again , was prepared to overlook the cost for comfort.Sadly ,comfort is not there anymore.

The shoes weren’t the problem it was the delivery/ returns. I had to return some shoes which took forever ! I waited WEEKS for my refund and made several calls to the ‘helpline’, may as well not have bothered ! NEVER AGAIN !

I was given a Hotter voucher for Christmas 2016, from my son, for the value of £100. I went to the Hotter shop, in Beverley Yorkshire, in the following New Year 2017. I bought a pair of shoes for £79. As I am disabled, I don't buy shoes that often. I received the remainder of £21 on two vouchers. A year later I went back to the Beverley shop, to pick some more shoes and put the £21 voucher towards them. I was told by one of the assistance, that the vouchers were out of date! I checked the voucher and on one of the vouchers, it had a date scribbled on it with 2/01/18. It disn't say that it was an expiry date and it was scribbled, only on one of the vouchers. The vouchers were given to me in a folder and I had put it into my bag. I didn't even notice that date, or that it would have expired. I rang the company and they asked me for the code number on the voucher. I was told, yes it has expired and that was it...end of conversation! These vouchers are purchased in good faith and should be honoured by the company. I will never shop in Hotter's shops again. After all they are not cheap and you don't buy expensive shoes that often.

The latest "Easy" sandals have no comparison to the original design which were smart and very comfortable. Why was the new design not renamed. I am now no longer sure I shall order any further shoes or sandals as I do not want to be disappointed again. A refund is not the answer.

Bring back the old Easy shoe! They were the best walking sandal, but now the style has been redesigned. Straps that don't hug the foot, higher heel, poor workmanship. You've ruined your "best selling sandal". If it ain't broken don't fix it. Sorry Hotter you've lost me as a customer.

I bought a pair of tone black shes possibly about 9 months ago, this was the fifth pair of tone shoes I had purchased over the years. I have never had any problems with them before now. This last the leather is stiffer and the inners of the shoe have changed they are now leather lined, which I find uncomfortable. I have stretched these shoes and tried to soften them umpteen times and I am still unable to wear them for more than a couple of hours at a time. I don’t know what you have done but something has changed.

When washing the inner soles of the Easy Sandal the Velcro fell off, emailed the “customer service” and they said it was my fault. Also their Mexico shoe has an awkwardly placed seam that causes blisters. Shame their quality has declined so much. Used to be super shoes. Won’t be buying any more.

I bought two pairs of shoes two weeks ago. One pair has faults of the mouldings on the sole. A replacement pair were sent with the same fault! I have been trying to return them since Saturday and after three phone calls to Hotter I have been badly let down with a failure to collect by courier HERMES on two occasions. I am now waiting to see if they show up, my third attempt, booked in for Thursday. Hotter and HERMES should not promote a service which they appear to be unable to provide.

Very poor service. Shoes faulty and they did not want to exchange it because I had worn it outside for one day.

My wife and I have bought many shoes over the years but are disappointed by the way that the soles disintegrate after a few years in spite of not being worn that often - but the uppers are still perfect. Will never buy again as they are not cheap and I expect a lot more wear from a shoe.

BEWARE BEWARE it will cost you 7 pound 50 pence to try a pair of there shoes on, if they do not fit or for some other reason, if you buy online and send them back. Don't forget 7.50 to look at them, what a joke must be making more out returns than selling shoes.

An old lady in Reading’s Broad Street branch is extremely rude. She shouted at me to not take photos and made everyone looked. She said she has already told me not to, but I didn’t heard her saying that. I’m not responsible for her Alzheimer’s disease. This happened around 3 years ago, but I will keep making this comment whenever I see reviews for Hotters.

Soles on shoes disintegrated and Hotter would do nothing about it. Shoes were a few years old and the tops still looked good. I didn't keep the receipt for shoes this age, not expecting them to be unwearable while in apparent good condition. I will not buy Hotter shoes again. This is a problem with their shoes. Do a google search.

Be aware that Hotter Shoes charge you for the full cost of Post and Packing (£7.49) if you want to return your shoes. Their 100% Happy Promise means nothing. You, the customer, take all the risk in trying their product. I bought some Relax slippers. When they arrived I didn't like them. So I asked for my money back. Hotter deducted £7.49 for this. Yet nowhere in their Return section do they make it clear that customers will have to pay the full cost of delivery and return. They say 'Free Returns' label - then charge you £2.50 for it (ie, not free). They then also deduct the original £4.95 delivery fee (which they don't tell you). They have a 100% Happy promise to customers. I wrote to them and told them I was 0% happy with them - and they seemed happy with that. Will not use Hotter again and warn you to beware that if you don't like their product, it will cost you!

I have been waiting for my order to be filled since early December 2018. It is now 10th January 2019. The price of the boots was deducted from my PayPal account, but I am now told it will be 27th January before they are in stock. I wanted my boots for the winter, they are no use to me in the summertime. Very bad service.

Purchased a pair of Hotter comfort concept cleated sole shoes with leather upper in snake design. Used a couple of times in house, went outside and feet were soaking wet when I came back inside. Very comfortable shoes when dry but very uncomfortable when wet. Not suitable for intended purpose. Could have paid 1/6 th of price and got synthetic pair which are more suitable.
