IconByDesign was founded by a father and son. We are the fourth and fifth generations in our family to work in the furniture industry. We are committed to designing and crafting easy living furniture that brings calm into your world. “My bed was delivered on time and as ordered. It was assembled professionally and I'm happy with the results. After I placed my order and the bed was about to be scheduled for delivery, I requested that it be kept in storage and that the delivery date be left open. My request was accommodated and the bed was eventually shipped at my convenience. My point is that Icon was easy to work with and flexible. I now have my bed and all in all, it was a pleasant and stress free experience. I would buy from them again without hesitation. Wishing all of you at Icon, continued success, Mervin”

“I was very happy with my IconbyDesign order and delivery. It is always nerve racking to buy some expensive on-line just based on pictures. I took the leap of faith and I was not disappointed. The delivery process was also excellent with timely updates and competent delivery men.”

“Just don't waste your time or money. Madenin China and comes damaged. And they'll reference their defective policy even though the table is clearly damaged. Just don't buy.”

“We got chairs two months ago . Vary low quality. The only area ithat is smooth is sitting area,the rest feels rough ( not finished) .I got splinter into my palm from one of the chair that is chipped . The company does not care . Also looks like there is no warranty. .”

“I received my Olivia extension table today. The table itself is beautiful and well built. However, the extension leaf was not packaged well. It was GLUED into its carry bag and when taken out, it has glue and fabric stuck onto it. I tried to remove it but it DOES NOT come off. This makes the extension leaf looks moldy. I have reached out to the company but has not heard back.”

“It’s beautiful and sturdy. Two of the table legs have a bit scratching, but the staff says they are going to change two new legs. During the buying and shipping process, I can always contact them via email, and they reply quickly. It’s a good buying experience.”

“I recently received my delivery of a dining set and I cannot express enough how disappointed I am in the quality of the furniture and the total lack of customer service from the owners of this company. I contacted the company within 24 hours of the delivery and expressed concerns that the table did not close properly when the extension leaf was in place. You could see right down to the floor from the gap where the table came together. I sent photos showing the gap and placed over 4 sheets of paper to show how open the gap was. It appeared that the leaf had been sanded or repaired and I was told that it was normal to have some imperfections because the product is made by hand. Adam Light (Owner) told me that they do not make money off returns and I have would to pay the delivery fee as well as the return delivery fee. I have never seen a company make it so difficult to return a defective piece of furniture and charge to do so. Adam initially told me that the delivery fee was $500.00 but when I called the company that delivered, they told me the actual cost was $290.00, not sure if Adam was just trying to pad the numbers a little and refund less money. Adam also felt it necessary to tell me the following.... "I will need to disagree with your concerns regarding the quality of the table." The level of service from this company is extremely poor, they have no regard for the customer's concerns and are not willing to help when issues arise. If you are considering buying furniture I would tell you buyer beware. Please be aware of this company's return policy before making a purchase.”

“Lovely table and chairs…the chairs remind me of those I see in homes in Scandinavia, which is what I was looking for! I love that the furniture is solid wood. I was slightly annoyed the boxes said made in China, but my husband dug through the website and found in very small print hidden that they build in China and Vietnam. It wouldn’t bother me if they were upfront, but the website is pretty good at implying that it’s a family owned business building furniture in the US.”

“Love the chairs! Five out of five minus the extended shipping time. The table is also good looking, well designed-but is cracked and the worst part.. it was missing the nuts in the hardware and strangely Home Depot was also out of them. So really an extra hour to find them.”

“After doing extensive research on dining tables and chairs, we finally decided on IconByDesign for several reasons. First and foremost, we really appreciate the solid wood construction, which is surprisingly hard to come by (all the big, well known, even high-end stores are somehow full of veneered furniture?!). Secondly, the pricing was extremely fair, given the quality and workmanship of the pieces. Lastly, our dining space is on the smaller side and we had the hardest time finding a table to fit the area. The smaller Magnus extension table worked out very nicely, even extending to accommodate guests. We also ordered a set of matching chairs and the bench. Prior to placing my order, I had asked via the chat window about which bench size would be able to nest under the table (the smallest bench fits under the smallest extension table). Ultimately, I decided against getting that bench, opting to get the longest one for more seating space. They somehow remembered that I had asked that question and confirmed with me after I had placed my order that I indeed wanted the longer bench; That level of attention and care impressed me. Our order arrived promptly and the company they worked with to deliver and assemble the pieces did a wonderful job. They arrived on schedule and assembled the pieces quickly and professionally, keeping the space clean and removing all debris. Every piece was exactly as expected and the more I look at it in my space, the more I love it. It’s absolute perfection. Every piece of furniture was smooth and nicely finished. The chairs were lightweight, yet super sturdy and stable. They are well-built using quality material and finishes, no off-gassing or strange chemical smells like some box-store furniture sometimes has. We are completely satisfied by all aspects of our purchase and now looking to purchase a few more pieces from them soon.”
