“I ordered a treadmill and put my home address due to the size and weight - I work full time so was a bit anxious about being there when they delivered it, but on the confirmation email they advise you that an email would be sent advising of delivery date. I was advised 2-4 days.
After 5 days I telephoned customer services, because I had another email from Ideal World saying I needed to complete my order - she confirmed I had placed and paid for my order and that she would put a note on my records to say that I needed notification before delivery.
Then a knock at my door early yesterday afternoon with a man saying he has a delivery for me - thankfully I was home to receive it.
So not too long a wait on delivery - just didn't know it was coming!
Bit of a shambles really and not sure I would order from them again.”

I have just been told by ideal world that I have to wait 20 more days while they investigate why a floor washer that’s been used poooo only half a dozen times then stopped working altogether needs more investigation. What utter nonsense. It won’t charge and that’s it. I’ve sent several emails and messages. Each ones been met with more excuses. Calls cost 13p a minute plus when you call. It’s an absolute disgrace. They are quick to take your money but not quick to help should things go wrong.
The beldrey floor washer was sent back almost brand new. I’ve kept my half of the contract and paid for it, ideal world should keep theirs. Buyer beware !”

Wasn't believed at first in spite of fact that confirmed payment card details used were not mine. Contacting them absolute nightMike Bonathanmare by phone or email, no one taking reasposibity and ended up with phone charges of almost £15 just to finally convince them that numerous orders were nothing to do with me. “I bought a watch from Ideal World I was told it would be with me in 3-4 days I got a email from them 4 days later saying it had been despatched, 2 days later I had to ring them to find out where it was and was told it would take a further 2-3 days and was given a tracking number, I have been on Hermes racking app and the number was invalid, I have been emailing them today telling them I want my watch and got message back saying it was on its way but could take another 4-5 days and was given another tracking number different from the first 1, I have been on the Hermes tracking app number is fine but they haven't got my watch yet they still waiting for it to be delivered to them from Ideal world but I had an email from Ideal world saying it was on its way.
I will never ever use Ideal world or should it be unideal world again and would highly recommend avoiding them at all costs.
I have told them I am going to take legal advice about this and I am going to report them to trading standards”

Ordered a Steven Brown picture on 27/02/2021 for a 40th bithday present at the end of March.
They or Hermes lost the picture. The e-mail said was depatched on 15/03/2021 but it then vanished.
I reported this and nobody would help as the neccesary time (10 days) had not lapsed.
I sent 20 e-mails , called customer services (a joke) and also called Steven Brown direct to tell them what a shambles Ideal World was that was advertising his brand.
It is now 24/03/2021, i was told i would receive tracking info by 22/03/2021, this did not happen.
I have had about 5 staff at ideal world telling me consistently that they cant rush the process, cant check with the supplier, cant contact the courier. WHAT IS THE POINT OF THE CUSTOMER SERVICE TEAM. PROBABLY TO TELL THE CUSTOMER THAT THEY CANT DO ANYTHING!!!
The birthday is on 247/03/2021 and it looks like the present wont be here.
I would be easy to put it down to a one off but Hermes and ideal World lost 2 mattresses about 2 years ago and i went through the same hell.
DONT buy through ideal world, call the supplier direct, pay a bit more but have a positive experience. I have learnt my lesson aftert 2 terrible experiences. It will not get to a 3rd.”
“I ordered the Dormeo mattress on flexi pay, but they took the whole amount, almost £300 out in one go !!! when l contacted them, they apologised and said l could cancel and re-order, but the cancelling process was such a hassle that l had to leave it as it was. “Miss selling superdeal card..I was contacted by a rep saying..you've just made a purchase so we'd like to give you a £5 voucher..me:thank you very much..then--also you'll get a super card to save you £££ when shopping,the caller constayspoke from a script over my questions,informed me a pack would arrive with a 14 day cancellation policy..as soon as she said ..£99 will be taken from your acc,I said no, how do I cancel..this is where it gets interesting!..as soon as your told you will be sent a pack they take £2:99 off your card..yes they access the card you've previously bout with..then you don't opt into the scheme they do this automatically for you.. YOU have to opt out..not by email but by a premium rate number !..really dubious selling and I fear many will be bamboozled by the sales call..”
