They are horrible. Ikea took 849.00 from me June 16. Lost my furniture. I took day off. It never showed. They put me on hold for hours. Transferred me to person to person. Gave me a reorder. My furniture is lost again. Took my money. And Im sitting on the floir 3 weeks later. 2 missed delivery dates. All ikea says is sorry. Canton store is e2 minutes away. It is not simple. Ir is not easy. Tbey steal your money and don't deliver anything. Do not buy IKEA. HUGE MISTAKE!!!

I have been dealing with ikea for over 6 months about a damaged drawer after I purchased a dresser for my son I still haven't heard about where the drawer may be or when I will receive it other furniture company's will ship right to your house why cant ikea do the same

There online customer service is THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I made an online order late May 2018 and when it got delivered in June some parts were missing and broken. I blame the delivery company for the broken parts, but when I go to call IKEA's online customer service, since this is the only way I can get taken care of since they don't have representatives in store for online orders. I have been calling them since June for multiple days. EVERY TIME THEY PUT ME ON HOLD FOR AT LEAST 2 HOURS. I tell them what happened and IKEA online customer service always tells me your items will get delivered yet THE ITEMS WERE NEVER DELIVERED. I have been waiting over a month for my broken and missing items to get delivered. Every time the delivery confirmation is missed I have to call again and they put me on 2 hour wait. I'm still waiting for my items to get delivered.

I'm currently on hold with Ikea Charlotte Customer Service - the recording said the wait would be 2 minutes, but it's going on 25 minutes. I have to think the management doesn't staff the Customer Service Department appropriately to have such a long wait time. I'm amused with the question below (how did you communicate with the company) which gives Live Chat or Email as options - NOT options. Online ordering is NOT a good idea, folks.

My experience with Ikea online order and customer service has been so unbelievably bad that I HAD to write a review somewhere to get out my anger and frustration. We placed our original order back in February for a Queen Songesand bedframe with two under-the-bed storage drawers. Everything went smoothly at first, the delivery company showed up on time and it arrived in a timely manner, the problem was that it was a Full, not a Queen and it did not include the drawers. Take two, we call customer service and ask for the bed to be switched out for a Queen and they schedule for it to be delivered. This is where things start going very wrong. It took 6, yes 6, attempts for the local delivery company to get us the new frame. From bs excuses to just not showing up at all, getting them to deliver the second frame was a nightmare and each time I called their customer service line, it took at lease half an hour for them to even find our order in the system. When they finally did get it delivered, we were told that we would have to schedule separate pick up for the Full frame.. which is the most absurd thing I've ever heard. It also took forever to get them to pick it up, but we're only halfway through the story so I'll move on. So we get the Queen frame and, of course, the storage drawers are missing. We call customer service again and are told that they have arranged for the drawers to be sent. Three weeks later and no drawers, so I call again and am told that the previous customer service person I spoke with set up the delivery incorrectly and was actually sending me another Full frame, not drawers. The new person says that she has set up delivery for the drawers and I should have them in 7-10 business days. Another three weeks later and still no drawers. I call yet again and am told this time that the reason I have not received the drawers is because they are on back order... I explain my many many frustrations and they agree to issue $50 in gift cards. Not exactly enough to cover the pain and suffering but I'll take it. At this point I decide to ask for a refund for the drawers and call it a day. I am told that I should see a refund within 7-10 business days. So here we are, it's been over a month since I was told that a refund will be issued. No refund and 3 more calls to customer service and I am beyond livid. I was told today that the refund has been issued to my account and that I should see it within 3 days. I've heard that story before but I guess we will see. At this point I believe my husband and I have been on hold and on the phone with customer service for well over a combined total of 8 hours. Needless to say, I with NEVER EVER order anything online for Ikea again. This has been the absolute worst retail/customer service experience of my life.

This review is only addressing the experience after the shopping when something goes wrong. The IKEA Customer service is horrendes - from hours of waiting in the store for service for shipping help (like nobody cares after the merchandise was paid for) hours on the phone on hold to talk to a representative, contract assembly staff that try to avoid doing the assembly work and rush to their next delivery (declare something not feasible to assemble - leave and sure enough it is assembled 2 days later by someone I hired) to no followup and complaint case numbers that do not exist when a follow up call was generated by me.

Much like others have written, Ikea's customer service is terrible. I'm not sure how a company this big doesn't have enough resources on hand to address the many problems that occur with their order and delivery process. After Ikea screwed up my order by forgetting to include the slipcovers for my couch and loveseat in the original delivery, I spent almost an hour on hold trying to reach someone to help rectify the situation. When I finally got through, I was told it would be another week before the slipcovers would be delivered which left me without functional furniture for a week. It's now been a week and not surprisingly the slipcovers have not been delivered and I have not received any sort of notification on the delivery status. And as seems to be the common occurrence, I can't even get through to a human on the customer service line. At this point, I'd be willing to sit on hold for another hour but I can't even get that far. Over the years we have purchased a ton of furniture from Ikea but with this recent occurrence, I think we've placed our last order.

First of all, I have called the 1-888 number provided by Ikea on their website for the United States and nobody will pick up from customer service. I have given up after being on hold for 45+ minutes. The 2 times I did get thru to somebody in the kitchen planning, both representatives had attitudes which in return made me furious and I returned it right back to them!! They talk down to you! They can NEVER bring up a picture of an item so you can explain to them what you see online and will be possibly purchasing. I ended up purchasing base cabinets and didn't get the look I wanted but I'm 1750.00 into this project and there is no turning back. I'm definitely not ordering from IKEA again, due to the poor customer service I received each time I called. Plus, going to the store is not as easy as you think.......2hrs away! Goodbye IKEA! Keep it up, you will continue to lose customers little by little with these type of employees! You just lost one!

We love ikea, but their customer service is absolutely terrible. We have been in the process of getting a refund for items that were never delivered and have waiting over 3 months to get our money back. They told us the refund would take 7-14 business to process which we waited and then called to check, upon which the representative Rebecca told us that the items had been returned to store and she didn’t know why our refund hadn’t processed but assured us that she would talk to their “cash office” and get the refund to us in 24 hrs, we waited two more days and called back and Tyesha a senior member there said that it was notated in our order to call the cash office but it never had been done. She put us on the “red list” and assured us it would be 24 hrs and we would see our money back, called again a day and a half later as was told by Gabe that we were on the red list but that we won’t see the refund for another 5-7 business days. I will never buy from ikea again

I made an online order at www.ikea.com on May 28, 2018. I received a delivery date of June 14th. June 14th came and went and not a word from anyone of my order. I had to call (and wait an hour on hold) to find out it was late. They said someone would get back to me and no one did. I have been on the phone (with EXTREMELY LONG wait times) 4 more times. The next delivery was supposed to be made June 27th. It was a 12 hour window and I had to have someone at my house ALL day so it could be signed for AGAIN and AGAIN no one came and NO call or email. I called 2 more times and have now tried to cancel the order since I don't even need some things in the order as it was for a friends wedding that has long come and passed. I trued to cancel yesterday and was tranferred to yet someone else that has tried to give me a new delivery date past when I need this. I told then if I can't have it by monday I want to cancelled. They just sent me a delivery of tuesday which is unacceptable. The customer service and delivery has been terrible and I will NEVER order anything again.

customer service is the worst.. I have never experienced anything like this.. its always " all circuits are busy" or wait 3 to 4 hours on the phone for a rep to pick up. Get with the program!!! i have purchase a sofa on 6/2 and have missing accessories, its been 3weeks and can not get anyone to resolve this!!!

If I could give zero stars, I would. Still have not received an item I ordered 10 days ago and it appears that it will be maybe a week or more until I do (if it ever even shows up!). I have had difficulty getting through on the customer service line and I am told something different by each customer service representative of IKEA and the shipping company that I talk to. I will not be shopping at IKEA again.

Items broke during delivery and I was unable to contact Ikea about it at all. 2+ hour wait times on the phone and every call gets directed to the same number. I never got through to Ikea and my window of time which was only FORTY EIGHT HOURS to call about a defective order passed by. I will never buy from them online again.

Waited 10 days for a delivery. Delivery company failed to call us day prior with delivery window. Called Ikeas who gave my the delivery co info to call. Delivery co had no record. Called Ikea back, was transferred , on hold for 54 minutes. to be told delivery had not even left the Ikeas facility yet. Could not tell me when it would.

MY DELIVERY WAS INCOMPLETE MISSINGG ITEMS- I NEVER RECIEVED MY SOFA OR DESK DRAWERS. I AM UNABLE TO GET THROUGH TO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I HAVE CALLED MULTIPLE TIMES WITH HOLD TIMES >1 HOUR EACH TIME. THE DELIVERY TRACKER STATES MY DELIVERY WAS SUCESSFUL BUT I AM STILL MISSING ITEMS THAT I PAID FOR.THE DELIVERY COMPANY HAS NO IDEA WHERE MY ITEMS ARE. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET THROUGH TO IKEA CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY PUT YOU ON HOLD INDEFINATELY AND DON'T ANSWER EMAILS

I bought table online on 2 June, with delivery on 6 June. On 6 June - when I called - I was informed that table won't be delivered till 10 June (Sunday) between 8:00-14:00. I cancelled order and was informed that refund was processed while we spoke. It occurred to be a lie. 2.5 weeks later, on 22 June, money were still not on my account. I called ikea and was informed that "now the refund was authorized" (which means before ikea's consultant Akhtar S lied to me) with no further explanation. It remains to be seen if I will receive money this time. What a dishonest way of doing business, hoping that customers won't check their bank accounts after 10 working days...

We went to buy a crib and changing table for our daughter. We found what we wanted in the display area and went to go get them from the pick up area and both were out of stock. After finally finding someone to help us, we were told the crib would be in stock within a couple of days but they had no answer for when the changing table would be in stock. However it was available online. I went back and purchased the crib when it was back in stock and waited a few days to see if the changing table would come back to the store. However, not only did it not come back in stock in the store but it also went out of stock online. I was able to email and while getting back a fairly quick response the rep was rather terse. She said because of a manufacturing issue it would be Nov before the product was back in stock. I am very disappointed and find it ridiculous that it would be out of stock that long. My daughter has limited space so we opted for the beech crib and small changing table. I can not find a changing table that matches the crib which is already put together and everything and we don't want to mess with returning and putting another one together so we are going to have to get one from another store which is white and will not match the crib. Admittedly it is much nicer than the cheaply made IKEA one but it's also $20 more and will take up more space. The customer service rep would not offer me any store credit or anything. Her only solution was to wait until November which will not work. I am not impressed with IKEA or the quality of their products. Also, I do not enjoy the maze like shopping experience in our local store. I find it much too confusing and stressful. I refuse to shop IKEA anymore. I know there might be production factors out of their control but I felt they could have offered me some other help or solution - maybe a discount on another product, the floor model or something.

Placed an order for $60 worth of kitchen items. All of the items arrived broken beyond repair. I requested a refund through your "recall" number since the actual customer service number 1 (888) 888-4532 is completely worthless. No matter what time of day you call you will hear that the line has reached full capacity - SCAM. There is also no way to contact the company via email. So, a month after requesting the refund, I still haven't received it. I've called the recall number 4 times now and gotten the same vague answer that it's "on it's way." This company is a complete joke and I will NEVER waste my time or money on this place again. Buyers beware!

New cashier cannot count the correct items in cart so therefore I get charged more for an item I don't have. She's not a kid but mid 40's and still can't count correctly. Sad. Plus her trainer who was around late 20's couldn't count either. Guess you don't have to have a good math back ground to get hired. Don't trust the cashiers. Long lines and only minimal people cashiering leads to very long and hot lines. Same at returns..one (1) person doing returns as I watched the second person leave to go out side to smoke. Need to fire these people period.

It all started when I ordered 5 items from IKEA online. Money was withdrawn immediately. 6 weeks later was my expected delivery date. No delivery arrived. No call. No email. Nothing. I waited 40min-1h on hold to get customer service. Realized that 5 sub-items to my order was missing which put my delivery from the transport company to my home on hold. Before finding this out! I was given the number of the transport company whom I called, who then told me IKEA forgot to supply some of the sub-items. Then I had to re-call IKEA, wait on hold for 40min. Then IKEA told me you have to call the transport company to find out which sub-items were missing. I said no way. You need to know which sub-items you did not send to them!! THEN, after this, IKEA explains that it will take another 6weeks to have my delivery! No way I said. So the option was to cancel the 5 missing sub-items and get a refund. Which I did. Then I drove from Greensboro to Charlotte to purchase the missing items from the IKEA store. I could not wait as I needed to mount my couch and guest bed for my family who were coming to visit. 6 weeks later....which leads me today.. I have made countless phone calls to IKEA. Never getting a straight answer for where my refund of 500 dollars is!!! Always getting the same answer 5-7 business days... Today I called and I was on hold for 20min, then hung up on. Then 35min hold, after they answered they said they would connect me to the refund department WHICH WAS A LIE. I was put back on hold for the main line. 45min later SOMEONE else answered, asking me what I needed help with.... THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOUR!!!! I am so frustrated.
