HONESTLY I WISH I COULD WRITE -5 STARS BECAUSE EVEN 1 STAR THEUY DONT DESERVE IT. I have had too many things going on with IKEA that to cut the story short, ordered on the 6/01/2022, return three items straight after delivery. Received only a partial refund, I chase them so much for the balance that till today 2/3/2022 No balance refund received, I have now open a CASE WITH PAYPAL. This company is an absolute JOKE

Well! I have approached Ikea a few times and wanting some information on a new kitchen. Each and every time I approach staff in the kitchen department, I simply get shot down. Abrupt and rude customer service. I'm about to spend $15,000 and I'm so in shock of the way I get treated. It's so disappointing! I've shared my experiences with many. I was in yesterday and spoke to Julie at Ikea ....and I was basically dismissed - again!

I don’t know where to begin from! Worse worse worse service ever! I have been waiting for missing bed parts over two weeks. Each time being told and emailed that it’s on its way but never arrives. Rang ikea over 20 times and each time given different advice! I wish I had never ordered from them. I have a bed that’s half assembled and I can’t get anywhere with ikea! I have been left on calls for hours and hours just to give me a different answer and to promise me it’s on its way but haven’t received it until today!

I would gone 0 stars, but I have to give 1 star to leave this review. WORST SERVICE CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE! We have spent tens of thousands at IKEA on kitchens and furnishings over the years and I WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN. Purchased a click and ship sofa in Memphis and when we got home to Knoxville we realized they did not give us and entire section. After multiple calls they finally agreed to send the missing box to the Nashville warehouse that was 4 hours closer to us. We go there to pick it up and it was severely damaged. Weeks went by and still no sofa. Finally we were assured Atlanta had one on hold for us, 3 hour drive again we were told they did not have it. IM DONE IKEA. You just lost a customer for life!

Wow, where to start with my utter disdain and disappointment with my recent experience ordering from IKEA? Despite attempts to dissuade me from putting in a formal complaint from their customer service team (who helpfully sent me the same copied and pasted excuse twice, 'you can write to us if you like, however the correspondance team are party of the same contact centre.') and no clear formalised complaints procedure (for a large company as this, that alone is wild), I'm hoping this will help others avoid them like a rash because this whole debacle has been a shambles. I ordered two FJALLBO units on the 29th January for a total of £243. I've ordered plenty of items from IKEA before, including during lockdown periods, and their products and service have been consistent and reliable. Our items arrived on the 2nd February, but unfortunately as we were putting them together, it became clear the TV unit was in fact a bookshelf, and we'd been sent the wrong item. Frustrating, but can't be helped, I reach out to the customer service team on social. They tell me they can't arrange a collection and delivery for another two weeks. By this point, it will have been 3 weeks since our order, and the collection is taking substantially longer than just ordering the item again, which is incredibly odd. I'm told bluntly there's no flex on this. Throughout this exchange, staff have provided copy and paste macro responses with little injection of emotion - I have to actually ask someone to even apologise, because no-one has even used the most basic of customer service phrases 'I'm sorry about this', making the whole exchange all the more frustrating. I'm then told, as above, that complaining will take me to the same department anyway, effectively dissuading me from putting in a complaint. I grumble about the huge, heavy unit I'm keeping in my narrow hallway of my small flat for two weeks but what can I do? I've been given no other options. The day rolls around and the day before the delivery comes, I've received texts confirming the time slot for delivery and collection. But then I get a curious email from IKEA confirming my refund, for what and why, the email doesn't say. The following day I get a response to my twitter message, today, the day of delivery/collection, telling me that the item has been returned by DPD and they've refunded me. Why has it been returned? Why can a delivery not be rearranged? Why am I finding this out now, after having to contact customer services again, without actually directly being told by IKEA? Who knows, because I haven't been given those answers yet. IKEA customer service seems consistently disinterested in giving explanations, only vague answers for all of their ongoing issues (a quick glance at their @'s shows how bad they've got over the recent months with other customers sharing their frustration). So here I am, almost a month later, down a TV unit with no idea why, stuck with a hefty box I don't want. This whole thing has been a nightmare, made substantially worse by the complete disinterest by the customer service team to actually resolve any issues - I don't expect someone to move mountains, I expect someone to offer reasonable solutions and apologies. As it stands, I won't be shopping with IKEA again, which is a shame as not only is most of my home furniture IKEA, but I've previously had such positive experiences with the brand. I'm far from letting one bad experience dissuade me, but time and time again in this instance IKEA has made it clear it doesn't care for providing a good experience to customers, nor clear communication about their orders. It's clear their customer service and quality has shot down the drain in recent months, so if you're ordering online I'd suggest avoid, avoid, avoid.

I have been waiting since before Christmas for the storage boxes for my unit which still isn’t in stock. I am very disappointed. As I am now going to get rid of the unit and buy another one with complete boxes from elsewhere..

I'm an old Ikea customer going back to 1994, more than half of my flat was Ikea. This was in Germany and also later in Luxembourg. It was worth the long drive to my nearest store. Now in my holiday home in Spain I went to Mursia to buy some kitchen cupboards. Buying no problem but assembling forget it. The pieces are so cheaply made if you connect a piece wrong and have to dismantle the joints and holes etc are completely ruined. Everything is plastic and cheap and nasty. Some of the pieces just didn't fit perfect and the back of the cupboard was mission impossible. This was my last trip to Ikea. What a shame as this is my first complaint in over e30 years.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Do not order your kitchen from IKEA. Our order is missing a huge amount of items. A lot of random useless stuff was delivered. 2 items that are missing are now not available. Shall we leave our kitchen without 2 doors until you're ready, then? Clowns. The installer will have to come back and needs to be paid as well. Avoid if you can.

Delivery costs are ridiculous, stuff you would get free delivery on in any other online store they charge 40€ for. Depending on the weight and amount it gets even worse. Don't know how a company this big still has ancient methods of delivery that cost the double the items price most of the time. Obviously only telling you the delivery costs once you entered all your details and are about to check out.

I’m soooooooooo extremely disappointed with IKEA!!!! I canceled my order due to their inability to deliver it on time. It has been 2 weeks and they still haven’t processed my refund. I have called Multiple times, have been on hold for hours wasting my time and every time I call they tell me that the payment team is just working on it now and they are issuing my refund as we speak. I cannot believe this! It HAS BEEN 2 weeks and I hear exactly the same statement from them every time I call. Is this a joke?! I want my money back!!!!!!!

I am writing here to comment on your company's poor delivery system and more specifically the driver’s poor service. I bought things from Ikea on January 9th and was surprised that the first available delivery date was for February 1st. I had moved to Dublin a few months ago and bought some furniture to better organize my home. I was hoping to get it delivered sooner. I ordered and paid even though I was not satisfied. Finally on Tuesday, February 1st, I received a message from Ikea about my delivery and my daughter stayed at home all day waiting for the driver. The driver called me at a quarter past 2pm for more details on my address. I gave him more information and directions but the dialogue was difficult because his English was rather poor. I waited for hours but he never came. When I tried to call him back, his phone was off. In the end, I didn't get my delivery because the driver never showed up and didn't give an explanation. He was right near my house and he just gave up on delivery. Now, I have to wait another week for a return. There are many boxes in the middle of my living room that are causing a great inconvenience.

So they let you place an order - then turn around and cancel Half of it saying they’re out of stock! Ok no problem - can you give me free shipping on the first half and I’ll pay for shipping on the second half? Nope Go elsewhere if you can - I’d suggest that if your looking for closet systems they’re gonna be out of part of it and you’re going to pay and pay to get the rest of your order with additional shipping Go to homedepot.com Instead and order closet revolution

My order number is 1251559799. The worst experience ever. IKEA mess up my plans. What was supposed to be a smooth relocation from Glasgow to London turned into a nightmare because of your worst unorganized services. I made my order on 28/12/2021 and delivery is scheduled for 21/01/2022. Then rescheduled on 23/01/2022 and guess what again rescheduled on 25/01/2022 but this time with more surprises from IKEA, I even received a confirmation message about delivery time from 7:00 AM till 7:00 PM. And guess what I waited until 6:30 pm before I call IKEA customer service which is the worst service in the universe advising me to cancel my order which is almost 5300£ because all my items are out of stock. Which I did. Then again I was surprised because I discovered that all my items were available from click and collect. I am talking from the top of my lungs, I hate IKEA services because I had to live on the hill for 2 weeks with kids aged 9 and 8 years in an empty flat because of your stupid, bad and unorganized customer services. I hate IKEA

I purchased a Rengora Dishwasher for a property in London in October 2018. The reason I selected Rengora over the £100 cheaper Lagan Dishwasher, was to get the five year guarantee (Lagan has only a 2-year guarantee). Over New Year the dishwasher broke down. With considerable difficulty I contacted IKEA who eventually gave me the name of the relevant repair company, which I eventually successfully contacted on the first working day after New Year, January 4th. An appointment was made for an engineer to call on January 10, but this was later postponed until January 17 (the reason given was illness/ isolating). Because of the delay I paid a local appliance repair company over £140 to attend, in the hope that the issue could be resolved more quickly. This proved fruitless because it turns out that parts may be needed, and by the time these are ordered, delivered & fitted, it would be cheaper and quicker to buy a new dishwasher! So we continue to await the IKEA guarantee company visit, whom I have contacted more than once, in the hope that they could bring forward the visit and / or at least come armed with appropriate spare parts to carry out the repair in the course of their first visit. So some 17 days and counting since the dishwasher first developed the fault we will have the first visit under the guarantee, which may /may not resolve the problem - not to mention the £140+ wasted on the local engineer. So my advice is be wary of paying extra at IKEA for guarantees that do not deliver, & shame on IKEA in these waste averse times for making it more convenient & more cost-effective to buy cheap & discard.

IKEA CUSTOMER SERVICE CONTACT v. IKEA HICKSVILLE, NY i am simply shocked that ikea continues to operate with such poor customer service. well, this is supposedly what they call it, "customer service" but they need to go to school to learn what it actually comprises. honestly, i do not know where to begin with the mess that they and only they know how to create. so i go to ikea to build my closet. i learn how to build it and at the time of ordering, am informed that all the pieces are not currently available. i am ok with that. it is totally understandable. so i order what is available and am on my merry way to putting my closet together. soon thereafter, i call their 888.888.4532 number to check if the missing items are in stock so that i do not require to make a long trip to ikea in vain. when i call, i am told that there are 1,000 of those pieces in stock. i drive in to ikea to find out that the item is out of stock until the following week- the 9th of january. on the 10th of january, i call to confirm that the order has arrived and am told that they presently had 963 of those pieces in stock. being that i had previously received incorrect information, i wanted to ensure that i was not going to, once again, make a wasteful + distant trip, so i asked if there was the possibility of me placing the order, making the payment and picking it up. i was assisted to finalize the order, however following that payment, i realized that i was charged $5 additional dollars for the items. i asked the gentleman why the fee. he was not sure why that fee was being tacked on but then found out that on that very day ikea had imposed this new pick up fee. of course, he was very apologetic and confirmed that this communication had not been made to him. in other words, ikea has a practice of not making it a point to communicate with their employees so that they may be well versed in the updates of their company. these employees represent a company that does not keep them informed. at this point, i am told that i would need to be transferred to what they call the "resolutions" department, WHAT A JOKE! these people could only complicate any possible good outcome ever in life. there is no resolutions department as far as i am concerned. they do not have the means or desire to resolve anything! they ended up cancelling my order -which i did not ask for. after that first call, everything just got worse and worse. truly just an unbelievable long story of complication and simply NO CONCERN WHATSOEVER for any customer. i have never seen anything this bad! i ended up having to call ikea resolutions department 9 times within 6-1/2 hours. how does that even happen? you call resolutions and they give you more problems that they cant resolve. for whatever reason, every time that they claimed to need to transfer me to some other gimmick department they have, the call dropped! how ironic, as if you are living in a 3rd world country that has poor reception or decline in technology. what in the world!!! how frustrating it is to be played with and disrespected in this manner. -1st call- check on inventory + place order, am overcharged -2nd call- resolutions department does not know reason for overcharge but decides to cancel order -3rd call- resolutions will only place order with the additional $5 charge -4th call- resolutions decides to place order without additional $5 charge -5th call- "where is my order?" -6th call- still do not know where my order is -7th call- ask for supervisor, am transferred to another person (not supervisor) -8th call- resolutions tells me that i can go into store and pick up my own items -really? -9th call- resolutions says that there is "no status" on my order because i have not paid finally speak with a so-called supervisor and he places order for me to pick up in store without additional fee. by this time, the store is now closed. i am told that i have 24 hours to pick up order. i go in the following day, for what is supposed to be a simple pick up but to no surprise to me at this point, am told that my order was canceled. HOW?!!!! WHY?!!!! then i am told that i did not pick it up on time so it was returned to the floor. again, WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? i received a message stating that my order is ready for pick up, last night, after you closed and now it's gone? now she, the customer service person, disappears as she asks me to wait. for what? i do not know! why? because no one tells me. ikea is a mystery place! so i wait and wait and then i figured that maybe she went on break. therefore, in efforts to not waste anymore of my valuable time, i head to the floor to attempt to look for the items myself. oh! but that cant be easy either because apparently these items are in the basement with access only to the employees. i return to the pick up area and am asked where i was because she had supposedly brought up the items for me but since i was not there, she returned them to the basement. HAVE YOU EVER?! so now i actually want to see a live manager. he comes out and wants to play the blaming game of "he didnt take the order". there is absolutely no accountability. he behaved as if i had placed an order in target to pick it up in ikea as if ikea customer service were a completely different entity from ikea. he keeps telling me that the order is canceled, like i do not know that after an hour of being at the pick-up station. does this luis manager need to waste any more time standing there and not giving me my order that i was charged for 3x? it is all very simple, just give me my order! essentially, ikea wasted 2 days of my life! every interaction painfully proving that ikea has the absolute worse customer service that i have ever experienced in my entire life. the way to shop at ikea is to not ever need to interact with this thing they call customer service. dont even get me started with the comically named "resolutions department", they might as well not exist. that would probably resolve 50% of their issues (out of 100% of the issues that they create all on their own). i used to visit the store a few times per year. this experience will deter me from ikea. they do not know how to solve absolutely anything at all! it's horrible. i never even imagined that service could possibly be so disastrous, in going from bad to worse to just winning the prize in losing consumers. if i had to rate them, it would be below zero.

I’ve been scheduled for collection of returned furniture 3 times today. To ensure they would come, we phone again to check. However, it was replied that we were given wrong information and the collection order has NEVER been placed. I was shocked that such a famous company has repeated exhibited very unprofessional customer service and never care about the customer experience of their customers. How do I suppose to re-visit the store for purchase again? Actually the customer service should deserve no star.

I’ve been scheduled for delivery 5 times now. The first 3 we’re a no show and the 4th they showed each empty handed. Cabinets weren’t on the truck. Now I’m scheduled over a week out with a delivery window 9a-9p. So now they expect me to wait for 12 hours for someone who isn’t likely to show up. 🤦🏻‍♂️
