Having been a former customer of interparcel.com for many years, I feel it is time for me to express my deep felt opinions of this incompetent and unreliable organisation. Slow communication, extremely unorganised and a high percentage rate of lost packages are the main points that let this company down. Their left hand does not know what their right hand is doing and the ‘jobsworth’ robotic staff are absolutely diabolical, nonchalant, unwilling to go that extra mile and completely unable to offer any kind of reasonable service. Adding to that volatile mix are courier companies such as Hermes, that are clearly run by imbecilic bone idle Neanderthals who care even less about your package. Hermes might deliver your package, if they can locate it in the first place that is! Hermes will not bother to attempt to deliver your package but instead enter information into their system that is blatantly incorrect, for example ‘Could not gain access’ (to a property that has no sign of any sort of gate). Dockets are not left for customers, packages are marked as delivered a whole 24 hours before they are actually delivered and when the recipient calls Hermes to arrange a redelivery, the package can no longer be located, resulting in unhappy recipients and this has a huge impact on my reputation as a business. If you buy a service from interparcel that requires a signature upon delivery (which costs more) but the delivery driver feels he cannot be bothered to get that signature, its ok, interparcel do not care and you are certainly not going to get a partial refund that’s for sure! I have not given a complete stranger (the delivery driver) clearance to freely decide if my package is or is not valuable and can decide whether or not to bother to get that signature THAT I HAVE PAID FOR. Any mention of the illegal act of selling a service that is not actually provided is always ignored and it is time that potential customers know the truth. Despite many complaints to interparcel, they discontinue communications and ignore any further emails. But they have not yet finished with handing out further pain just yet, we need to endure even further systematic failures by this company. Our cherished and expensive parcel is lost and now the insurance robots need to process your insurance claim which will be a slow process, delayed for several days and at that very moment that interparcel are about to issue a slow vintage edition cheque, your package is located and your claim is cancelled. How many days have passed since I sent my package? Only 38 long drawn out days of being kept in the darkness of interparcel. Did my package finally find its way home to me when interparcel informed me that it had been located SEVEN DAYS AGO I hear you ask? No, it has been lost again! No communication from interparcel once again. A valuable item lost, an insurance claim cancelled, an unhappy (refunded by me) recipient and a furious ‘out of pocket’ interparcel/Hermes victim. Interparcel have lost a great number of my packages and they are lost by most of the courier companies that they employ but Hermes are by far the worst of the worst. Save yourself weeks of anguish and avoid interparcel like the plague, it is extremely bad for business and you will do far better by going directly to a courier company via their own website. I have used several third party courier brokers like interparcel and they are all run by the same unprofessional robots. Avoid them all and use a modern super-efficient courier like DPD and go to them directly, you will even save money too.

I am very sorry for the issue that you have had with your order. We can only ever provide the information to the customer that the carriers provide us with and can only apologise if this is incorrect. We also sell many other services so if there is a particular one you wish to avoid there are many others to chose from.

AVOID AVOID AVOID Did not get the service that I paid for, customer service offered no help at all and would not compensate me fairly or resolve my problems. My advice would be go to the carrier directly as at least they can help you if something goes wrong.

Hi Michael, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the service that you have received, unfortunately the service selected is one of the standard drop off services where no money back guarantee applies. The driver will try his best to collect the item the same day that the parcel is dropped off, however this will depend on the time that the parcel is dropped off to the access point by the customer. If the driver has already been, the item will be collected on the next working day. The parcel has been collected today and further scans will follow shortly.

INTERPARCEL CHEATED ME YOU PAY FOR A BASIC SERVICE AND IN REALITY YOU ARE TOTALLY IN THE HANDS OF THE COURIER AS THEY CAN DO WHAT THEY LIKE WITH YOU PARCEL WITHOUT ANY COMPENSATION FOR THE CUSTOMER AND THEY ACT AS IF IT IS THE CASE. WORSE STIL AFTER YOU ARE LEFT OUT OF POCKET , INTER PARCEL DENY ALL RESPONSIBILITY AND BLAME YOU FOR BOOKING THAT SERVICE. TERRIBLE COMPANY..AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Shocking service, took 2 weeks to deliver a parcel that should have taken two days after it being lost. Wont refund the original postage and I have already refunded my client due to it taking so long! So I am completely out of pocket! DO NOT USE INTERPARCEL!

Hi Julie, I'm really sorry for the delay with this order and for the inconvenience this has caused to both you and your customer. This has been raised as a complaint with the courier to hopefully avoid any issues like this in future. I'm afraid this particular service chosen does not have a money back guarantee so we are unable to offer a refund on this occasion.

Used for a couple of years - sent many parcels. Then out of the blue was told one of my parcels was oversize and they wanted and extra £70. This was about 2 weeks after the parcel was delivered and they could not provide any evidence to back up their claim. Similarly I didn't have a photo to back up my claim either, received harassing calls for weeks afterwards. Have not used since and simply cannot recommend based upon my experience. I have since spoken to other people with similar experience who threatened watchdog and the claim was all of a sudden dropped!!

Hi Toby, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I can see that you were billed for under declaring an item back in 2015. Unfortunately the item sent was almost double the size of the dimensions entered at the time of booking and so we were billed by the courier. We do offer the customer a chance to dispute these charges, however you were unable to provide satisfactory proof that the item was the size that you had stated. Two emails and a letter were sent to you asking for payment of the charges incurred, as far as I can see no phone calls were made. I am very sorry for the upset that this has caused you.

In the last two months, the company has lost one package, delayed two packages which were supposed to be expedited and refused to issue a refund. Customer service reps are unhelpful and rude. Do not use this service.

I sent off a big parcel to get dropped off today as the man that told me it would definitely be today, yet we went on the live chat spoke to Katie to be told that it's tomorrow that it gets picked up? Also he's missed a doctors appointment today that he needed to go to but had to sit in today because of you're staff giving the wrong information. And you're staff Couldn't help me use a tracker to see when it gets close for my brother to be getting the parcel but they don't do that? If you're staff don't know how to give the right information then you need to sort them out, won't be using this company again! Absolutely shocking.

I booked inter parcel to send a Christmas present to my friends son who lives in Poland,Gdansk. It got picked up on the 13/12/2016. On the time i booked it, it said it would take up to 4 days to get there. I thought great. So i booked it and it was really cheap. Its still not arrived there yet and the date today is 08/01/2017. They tried to blame me for putting the wrong address down, then they found out it was third parties mistake. Every time i ring them i get no good reason why it has not yet arrived at Gdansk. It should of been a Christmas present for a 5 year old boy. Not veru happy with the service or the customer service i got.

We sent two shipments with you and you lost both of them.... unbelievable - cost us loss of reputation with the customers not to say the loss of goods with no recompense from you. Totally disappointed with nothing good to say about your service I am afraid. We will not be using you again. Also got the distinct impressions that Customer Services did not really care and loved this comment when I asked to be put in contact with a Director ... and I quote....."directors do not deal with customer escalations". I run my own business and I would certainly want to deal with an unhappy (very) customer to try and find out what went wrong.

Good Morning, I am so sorry that order 13725514 was declared lost. I can see that the carrier did carry out searches but were unable to locate the goods. Unfortunately the claims team advised that the service you selected does not come with any cover, This is mentioned during the booking process. I am very sorry for any inconvenience that this has caused.

Absolutely pathetic. A parcel sent from the UK to South Africa on 24 November, apparently thne only shipped from Belgium on 29 November - and now (23 December) I'm told it won't arrive before the new year. The quoted time was 5-10 business days. Absolutely ridiculous How can you not get a parcel to me in over a MONTH! horrid service

Unfortunately the service selected is only estimated transit time and we have been informed by the carrier there are long delays with parcels arriving into the country of destination. Once again I am very sorry for the inconvenience caused to you and your customer.

I paid £194.70 for a consignment of 3 large boxes and £374.39 for a consignment of 5 large boxes to be delivered to two separate addresses in New Zealand for my 4 beautiful Grandchildren. I saved the money over the whole year, they are just kids and I wanted them to feel the excitement of receiving lots of presents all the way from England. The parcels were collected on November 29 and scanned again the following day at Heathrow..then nothing..no more updates at all, On Dec 14th I began emailing and calling interparcel many times, but no joy. Today I received an email from them saying that all 8 parcels are declared LOST, how can two separate orders to two separate addresses all be LOST. I am absolutely heartbroken and my Christmas is ruined.

Hi Karen, I am very sorry to hear the parcels have been lost in transit.Having investigated this matter with the courier, they have complated the full searches and unable to locate the parcels on this occasion. The orders have been passed to our claims department. Once again I am very sorry for the loss and inconvenience caused.

The claims department will require certain details in order to process any claim, due to the item having damage internally they will need a report from a specialist. I am sorry that your parcel was not collected and you were unable to contact us over the weekend. We do state that we are not open over the weekend on our site, I can confirm I have re booked your collection for tomorrow Tuesday 13th. We regularly feedback to all couriers details of any failures, or indeed any other issues affect their service, so that this can be looked into and addressed internally.

Booked what Interparcel called a 'next day service with UPS' to be then told that the delivery postcode just outside Edinburgh, (which is in mainland UK), is NOT considered part of their next day service. This was never made clear on their website and I was only advised about certain postcodes not falling under the next day service AFTER delivery was finally made, even though they are trying to say I was advised before the booking, which is rubbish. Beware using Interparcel as it seems their service is neither guaranteed nor will they refund on late deliveries. I will NOT be using Interparcel again!

I’m sorry that you have contacted us this way, looking at a quote to the delivery address we did give you an estimated transit time of 2 working days. stated on the quote that some areas with this post code are classed as remote and to check with us first. We have been clear when placing the booking that this area may not be included on the next day service.

Failed to collect on the right day. Then failed to deliver the parcel. Then charged me to return it. Then failed to return it. Then failed to give any compensation. I started a court case, agreed a settlement via a mediation service, and they failed to pay the agreed settlement. Just awful start to finish. Absolute rip off merchants.

Hello, I am sorry that the driver could not locate the address however this does happen on occasion. As we are often not made aware of any issues we offer a self tracking service and therefore rely on customers to track their items and contact in the event of any problems. In this case we were contacted by the carrier and contacted you for further information. Carriers will not call numbers that are not local. The number required is for the receiver so they would not contact someone in a different country. Had a phone number have been provided at the time of booking, or prior to the parcels return, we could likely have resolved any address queries. As this was received after the return was processed we were unable to assist.
