I have used Interparcel for many years, mainly to ship goods to family in Italy. Whilst I appreciate that Interparcel are not the actual shippers I was extremely disappointed about recent events with a shipment to Turkey via UPS. I did not check prohibited items on the Interparcel website as they were not the shippers-UPS were. I checked for prohibited items on the UPS website (which is a terrible website) to check if the item was listed. Items can vary from Company to Company. I still cannot locate the item on any 'list' on UPS site. For what started off as a £44 shipment cost is now going to cost me £300 to have the parcel returned to me - which has not happened yet - I will believe it when I see it. I am not laying all blame with Interparcel - UPS are also under my criticism here and I would never use them again. I intend to write a strong letter of complaint to them. Not that they would really care I am sure. However I have to say that the Customer Service staff (in particular Stacey McKay) at Interparcel have been more than helpful - it is not their fault that this has happened and they are just adhering to Company policy and procedures.

Hi Susan, I'm afraid when sending through our services mobile phones are classed as prohibited items and cannot be sent under any circumstances, this is advised on our website when you make the booking. We are currently chasing this up with UPS to confirm the exact charge for the return and to find out when you will get this back, as soon as we have any more information we will contact you right away. Useless! Booked a parcel collection and nobody turned up, emailed them arranged another collection and, yet again, nobody arrived. Have now waited in for 26 hours and still got to do it again tomorrow. Shall not be using them again and cannot recommend that anyone else does.

Hi Deborah, I am very sorry that this parcel has not yet been collected from you. I have looked into this order and I can see this has been raised as a formal complaint with Hermes and they have assured us this will be collected today. This will also be monitored throughout the day to ensure there are no further issues.

Rubbish - sent a purpose transit case which was damaged- no claim as it should have been wrapped in a box- smoke and mirrors - use the post office much better service. I will never use them again and vote with my £1000 a year budget.

Hi Mike, thank you for your review. We do advise at the time of booking that all items must be boxed in order to be sent with our services. If this is not the case, the item is sent completely at your own risk and so cannot be claimed for in the event of damage. I am very sorry for the inconvenience that this has caused you.

Have used Interparcel previously with no problems, but usually selected DHL for home collection. This time selected UPS. What a disaster!!! And also used one of the drop off points. I would not recommend this service. My parcel after 4 days is still sitting at the drop off point. No explanation at all from anyone. UPS will not speak with me directly. Tell me to go via Interparcel. Interparcel vague in their reasoning for the delay, only that it will be picked up from collection point today. Totally disappointed with the overall service and will seek alternative arrangements next time.

Hi Alison, sorry to hear your experience with us on this occasion has not been a good one. I have checked the order and I can see my colleagues escalated this with the courier as soon as we were made aware by yourself and they will be collecting the goods today. As we are not flagged up on failed collections, we do need our customers to let us know if items are not collected from them or the drop off points so we can raise the matter with the chosen courier. I would not recommend using Interparcel. I arranged for a courier through them to ship a large parcel. It was picked up, scanned and has now gone missing. I was not given a receipt when the driver picked up my parcel and Interparcel have now advised me that I will not be in a position to make a claim. They take no responsibility for missing items. Be warned!

Hi Ben, This is not normal procedure, I have checked the order and I can see that UPS advised us that we would not be eligible for a claim as we do not claim with the couriers, all claims are dealt with in house and should your item be declared lost, we will issue a claim for you. I can see that a tracer has been raised with UPS and I have gone back to them to advise that proof of collection is not left by them, as soon as I have any response, I will contact you. bad customer relations poor correspondence could not care attitude would not recommend to anyone to use this site will do best to stop trading as lost customers parcels and goods

Hi John, thank you for your review. I have located the order and can see that the item is currently having searches carried out on it with the chosen courier. I am very sorry this is the case however we will contact you with any updates we receive from the courier.

They say they tried to deliver parcel but only someone under 16 there so could not be signed for. However we do not have anyone under 16 we are pensioners. They are going to a wrong address. They have our phone number and have not even telephoned it. This Firm is useless DO NOT USE THEM TERRY SQUIRES

Hi Carl, Thanks for your review, I have checked our system and located a few orders for yourself. Upon checking the last 3 orders with us, I can see one was collected and delivered around 21st July, then you had two booked for Friday 24th July that are showing as collected and out for delivery today. I spent extra money to get my parcel delivered within a couple of days. It has now been over a week and the parcel has not been delivered. I contacted customer services and they do not know what is happening. I got so fed up I even emailed Mark Walters CEO and he has not even bothered to reply. Very frustrated as you can imagine, will not be using this company again!!!!

Look at the ratings. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. It's just not worth saving a few pounds. <br/><br/>Package arrived 1 week late having been STOLEN. No one ever signed for it. Hi Ben, I can see from the order notes that we have chased the carrier in question several times on this but we have not managed to get a positive out come, we have since started a loss claim on this for you and you will be notified once the claim is finalised.

The above is based on order 11812959 I booked this in the morning of 13/07/15 for collection 14/07/15. As the parcel was not collected on the promised day and I was in all day waiting. I phoned at 8.35am on the 15/07/15 and spoke to JAMES who said he would contact UPS and get back to me. As I told him I needed to let my customer know. He suggested that I wait until he got back to me. This I agreed too BUT OF COURSE HE NEVER BOTHERED TO GET BACK TO ME. As no call had come by 2,30pm I phoned again and spoke to KIRSTY who said the parcel was down again to be collected today. Also it would be looked into why it wasn't collected yesterday. The parcel was finally collected at 5.00pm on the 15/07/15 and the driver said he wasn't given the collection yesterday.!? I doubt if anyone will bother to contact me but of course it would be appreciated if they did. PLEASE NOTE THE FEEDBACK IS FOR THE PARCEL 1182959 STATED and until this mishap the feedback would have been much different. Dave.Austin.

Hi Dave, I have checked this order and UPS are stating that they attempted but were unsuccesful, I have of course passed a complaint to them advsing that this was not attempted and once i receive feedback i will let you know. I am glad to hear that this has now been collected.

The most frustrating delivery I have ever tried to receive! I have ordered an express delivery on Thursday to receive the parcel by 6pm Friday, and paid for SMS text to my phone notifying me on the time of the delivery. It was very important for me to receive the parcel next day! No text was received! I spent all day at home waiting for the delivery and by about 5 pm when I tracked the parcel online it stated "Receiver not home. delivery will be made at first opportunity". No evidence was left (delivery slip) that the courier attempted to deliver the parcel, plus I am absolutely sure that I would hear anyone trying to ring the door bell. By 5pm the customer service line was closed and I accessed online help chat. All they could tell me at this point is that there is nothing they could do and the delivery would make another attempt on Monday (unacceptable, absolutely no use for me). I was even willing to collect the parcel myself, if they would only tell me where it is. After multiple attempts trying to communicate to absolutely emotionless robotic people that do not care about you, but just sit there and answer with the same "sorry, there is nothing we can do", I contacted TNT directly. I was on hold for 30 min before I got through to TNT. However those 30 min were well worth it! A lovely employee answered me and completely understood my situation. My parcel was put aside for me to be collected. Unfortunately the depot was closing shortly so i had to get a taxi in order to make it on time. By the end of the day, I couldn't believe how much stress and money this delivery cost me! Will never use Interparcel again and will not recommend to use for urgent deliveries!

Hi Diana, I am sorry that you missed the driver. Unfortunately after 17:00 live chat is done from home so we do not have access to phones to be able to contact the carriers. I can see that the text was sent to the mobile number entered at 12:12 to advise it was out for delivery. I am sorry that you were not left a we missed you card and i will of course take this up with the carrier.

Appalling company. I ordered a bespoke item which was sent by the supplier last week. It was sent on a 24 hour delivery basis because the need for this item is urgent - its being unveiled at a school leavers ceremony, and was paid for by the hard fundraising efforts of 30 Year 6 students. On being delivered to the school, 1 of the 2 parcels had been damaged in transit and was rejected after the contents were inspected and had also been damaged. Now this kind of thing happens. I understand that. What Interparcel don't understand is that if something is sent on a 24hr service, the need is probably urgent. The item arrived at their Crawley depot about 16 hours after being returned, but was only booked in to their system 12 hours later when I called to check progress. As Im not the person that booked the delivery they would not deal with me - unfortunately the sender was away and hard to contact. I explained the urgency in getting the package back to the sender so it could be assessed / repaired (£300 bespoke bookcase) but nothing. Despite the sender also chasing, the package is awaiting inspection by Interparcel staff (whenever they decide to get round to it.) In the meantime the sender is making a whole new bookcase to be hand-delivered to us by the end of the week, but then he is someone who realises the importance of customer service. Luckily he had delivered the original item a week before our deadline so we should get it in time now. If it had not been for the sender we would have 160 disappointed kids, all because Interparcel do not understand the meaning of customer service. The 2 girls I spoke to in 'customer service' (heh) just quoted and requited standard procedures - they really couldn't care less. Funnily enough, when the sender chased them as requested by Interparcel he found exactly the same. Absolute shower.

Hi Andy, I have checked your order and can see that we received this back on Thursday. The claims team will be doing the inspection today on this and will then be in contact with the sender. I am very sorry for the frustration and inconvenience caused on this.

I booked a collection for Wednesday 8th July 2015. My preferred time was 8:00 to 15:00. Interparcel said that UPS was going to try and respect my time-frame, but that they could not guarantee it. They said that the UPS times for collection were going to be until 7pm for residential addresses. At 16:30 no one had turned up. I called the Interparcel help line. One of the operator said that the driver was late and that he was going to collect my parcels at 17:30. At 19:15 no one had still turned up. I then used the chat help line where Becky has been really helpful and professional in dealing with my anger. I had to rebook a collection where they cannot guarantee the collection itself or the time. If you can, do not choose UPS among the options available as it has demonstrated to be completely unreliable.

Hi Chiara, I'm sorry to hear your time request was not met - As you will find with most services, the drivers do not guarantee the collection slots as collections are always being added and their routes can change quite frequently. I can see my colleague has raise a complaint with the depot and rebooked this in for Friday as requested. We have also asked for collection to take place before 3pm for you - I hope this helps!

Terrible service, worse customer support. Could have had plenty of business from a 100-strong company, but will now be using other courier services that can be trusted.

Hi Nathan Riley, I have looked into this order for you and I can confirm the service you selected does not guarantee collection or delivery times. These are only a request with the couriers and they do not guarantee any times unfortunately. City Sprint did try and deliver the parcel on the same day of collection however no one was available to sign for the goods. I can see from the notes that my manager has emailed you with more information regarding the order.
