I ordered some shirts, Christmas for oldest son. I received from Penny's saying shirts out of stock, also saying they canceled order. Then the shirts were delivered to me, so I refused order. That was THREE weeks ago, they still have NOT refund my money. SEVERAL phone calls, several e-mails- -still NO refund!!

Ordered a Stratford Park Comforter set online with no issues! Easy to order from website, fast delivery with notifications, merchandise as advertised when it arrived! Recommend to all.

I ordered two bras online it took a while to come and at least one looked like it had been worn and stuffed back in a ripped plastic bag. They were ugly and didn’t fit, so I return them together they cost me $59 and JCPenney charged me $17 for shipping both ways when I return them. I would never have paid $17 to try them on if that had been obvious I never would’ve even purchased them and will never purchase anything again from JCPenney. They have a well-known name but if you read any of these reviews it’s pretty clear they overcharge, under serve, do not have quality products and will send you somebody else’s trash, and then charge you for getting it. Who would pay $17 not to get something doesn’t seem like they should be around for very long. All they’re working off of is name recognition.

We purchased two Gibson dinnerware sets from JCPenney. When the items were received one cup and one bowl were broken. I was told it would be necessary to repack the whole set and return it. A new item could be ordered. I understand damages can occur in transit, not sure how often it happens, but it just feels like JCPenney is willing to solve the problem IF the customer will take the responsibility of repacking the whole set and taking it to be shipped back. This is not a customer friendly solution. Lesson learned - be careful about ordering online from JCPenney.

ordered a wallet from jc penny on oct 23, 23, they told me should have it by next friday, checked shipping number, one cite said monday the 30th, other said nov 1, i am done with the idiots, cut up my jcpenny card, bunch of liars, non speaking english people, no wonder they only got 17% recommendiations.......

The security lady Crystal was super helpful today helping me chose the right slippers for me and my husband. She even showed me herself where they were. April was a very sweet cashier that rang me up for them.

FIRST TIME CUSTOMER TO JC PENNY! MY FIRST AND LAST TIME.........TERRIBLE COMPANY! I ordered a pair of Java Brown Arizona Jeans, and despite waiting almost three weeks to get my order, UNBELIEVABLY I was sent a Dungeons & Dragons T-Shirt"! - Really? - How do you get a pair of jeans confused with an order for a pair of jeans!!??? I called their customer service, which took forever getting someone to handle my problem, I was told they would get the jeans out to me within a week........ Well, I waited a couple of more weeks, and guess what?....NO JEANS and I was sent an email saying my order was DELAYED.......WOW!!! After yet another call, I was told the carrier, UPS, is the problem and they don't know when I will get them!!!.......... And yesterday, just when I was going to call, yet again, for the THIRD TIME, the jeans finally showed up, tacking on waiting yet another week!! PLEASE, READ THE OTHER REVIEWS ABOUT THIS COMPANY THAT FILED FOR BANKRUPTCY - NOW, I CAN UNDERSTAND WHY! GRADE = F

Every time I have attempted to order from jcpenney.com, my credit card(s) are rejected and then I am transferred to what I am told is Synchrony. A recording asks for my JCP account number which I do not have. I am just attempting to purchase items with my credit card. Then, recording asks for my social security number. The recording does not even identify to whom I am speaking, so I am not giving out my social just to place an order. I've tried several other cards, all perfectly usable anywhere else except with JCP. They have the very worst online ordering process and my guess is that this company will soon be out of business.

Back a few years , new CEO cheapened the clothing lines using garbage fabric, he's kong gone but garbage clothing fabrics still there, badly fitting but down right cheap price wise. Bought 5 tops, looked great on the stick model in the ad. Would not fit a size 6 real woman! terrible fabric. Returned them and was charged over 10..00 for 9 ounce bag of tops being returned! I was never sent an email of the order which stated over 50.00 shipped free..the customer service person refused yo get manager.. I turned in my JCP cards years ago, today after 10 dollar shortage in my refund I will never shop there again..They are sinking their own ship. pitiful

don't buy anything from JC Penny, I purchase 5 shirts on line, when i received them, i notist that one of them was already opened, so i checked the shirt and it was the wrong size, and also it looks like someone had already worn it, so i got a return instruction to return it to the store. when i try to return it, they said that they cannot refund or exchange for the correct size, now i am stock with a shirt i can not wear. i called customer service for help, but it's like talking to a wall. these company will go out of business, if they don't pay attention to there customs don't buy from JC Penny

Made an order. Told me if I ordered on the 8 of October I'd receive it on the 12 then the 13 now it's the 16th . I don't think I'll order from JC Penney again. Get your story together

AVOID THE No Support Company. On 9/23/2023 ordered items online with plans to secure the items via curbside upon arrival. Upon arrival, I checked in as stated via the "order ready" email. After waiting for lengthy time, I decided to call the store for a status. After being unsuccessful to getting anyone to answer their business phone, I went inside for further assistance. Once inside there were no one available. Made a call to JCPenney customer service at (800) 322-1189. At this number a gentleman named "Emmanuel" answered, asked me my name; only to not provide support to a customer calling the "customer service" line of this company. Emmanuel directed me to callback in order to speak to someone else other than him. As a result, he placed the customer (me) on hold without notice and decided to not return. In addition, Emmanuel (JCPenney) customer service rep said there was nothing that could be done about my reasoning for the call - get some form of support due to the local store not answering calls and no one available. Emmanuel's handle of the customers issue was acceptable and is a huge deal breaker for any additional purchases.

The website is just AWFUL! I try over and over to see if it is any better so I can order online, but it’s unusable. So terribly slow and crashes so often. WORTHLESS

Went to JC penny Bakersfield Ca store #2209 the cashier lady let someone crowed in front of me because they knew her took her sweet time ringing her up and too busy talking to them about her son wedding while the line grew longer and their were no other cashier person to assist the customers.

Jc penny's cancel one of my orders and told me that it would take 7 to 10 days before they could return my payment. Hell it only took them 3 seconds to process my payment. Then I received an email saying that my order that was supposed to be delivered on the 8th is now arriving on the 11th and the 14th. I will never order from them again. Online shopping is to much of a hassle.

I had the opportunity to shop at Penny's Monday, 7 August . The Penny's is located in the Provo Towne Centre in Provo , Utah . My wife and I were shopping for some nice clothes for her . After we finished selecting our choices , we went to the cashier checkout . Upon totaling up our purchase , I presented my card to the clerk . The card would not accept the full amount of the payment . The clerk Eric , calmly retotaled the items again . Same problem . I told Eric that the card should be OK. He politely said why not use another card for the balance . We tried that and the computer rejected the card and the computer locked up . Eric smiled a said he would try a different cash register . That computer locked up also . Perplexed, we left the store without our selections . We stopped by the bank to check out the card . I had used the wrong card . We went back to Penny's to try to retry with a correct card . Eric was on his break so another clerk listened to my story and helped me recover the clothes from the return rack after she called Eric in the break room . Eric came back before his break was over and helped us complete our purchase . Eric apologized for our difficulties even though they were my fault . Eric turned a negative situation into a positive experience . Penny's needs to hire more Eric's.

We have bought sofas from JCPenney before and it was a great price and quality. Had them for 15 year +. This time we bought an Ashley sleeper sofa & oversize chair and ottman from JCPenney. I am so disappointed with the quality and customer service! The arm creaked and neither company would exchange it and both said it was the other’s responsibility. The sleeper bed is thin and uncomfortable, the cushions are sunk in after only a couple months use. Waste of money!!!!
