If only the clothes were as great as the candles.. The clothes are ridiculously old fashioned and out of date. Same with the shoes. I took my son there to get a suit for a wedding. Absolutely nothing to choose from oak Park or Metcalf. Kind of an overrated Kmart.. clothes are poor quality. Unfortunately because I love pennies but champion. Yeah not so much.

We purchased two Gibson dinnerware sets from JCPenney. When the items were received one cup and one bowl were broken. I was told it would be necessary to repack the whole set and return it. A new item could be ordered. I understand damages can occur in transit, not sure how often it happens, but it just feels like JCPenney is willing to solve the problem IF the customer will take the responsibility of repacking the whole set and taking it to be shipped back. This is not a customer friendly solution. Lesson learned - be careful about ordering online from JCPenney.

I bought 4 pair of the Adonna Fleece long sleeve women's pajama sets. I absolutely love the material and they are very warm. The problem is the sizing. I ordered 3 large for myself and 1 medium for my sister. All of the sizes had tops that were extremely small and bottoms that were extremely large

The product selection is not as large as it used to be. One thing I have noticed is salespeople acting and dressing in a very non-professional way. The lady that waited on me today at the pick up counter was wearing a faded black sweatshirt. The other clerk was wearing leggings with a tight shirt that was a bit short. Not sure what the dress code is, but there should be one. Lots of personal conversations going on while waiting on customers.

I will start off w/I like jcp’s I can find clothes for me or the grandkids. Found a coupon online so saved me even more. Now the cleanliness of the Appleton store is terrible. Even my 9 yr old granddaughter said something. Now could it be there’s not enough help , maybe. It looked like a tornado went through some of the areas. The dressing rm was dirty. Hire some cleaners bcuz it needs it.

JC Penny use to have beautiful Christmas puppeteer shows in the window! They’ve slowed down a little! It’s like Burlington now

First of all, LUV JCPenney, Hate their automation to make a payment. I think the company can take a note from Kohls playbook. Simple and efficient. Hope you can change it soon.

I was at the JCP at the SI Mall for a return. I asked if I can make a return at this register and the cashier said yes. I waited on line when another cashier came up to me screaming that the returns are made downstairs. I continued to wait because the other cashier said I could do a return there. Then the other woman says i told you returns are downstairs and I said returns can be done at any register. She said well I'm deaf, I didn't hear you. I said I never said anything until now but I heard you. This is why JCP is bankrupt. Why should I have to be forced to go all the way downstairs and wait on a long line with people who are also picking up orders made online. I wish I knew the cashier who did my return. The reciept states assoc: 0403. I did thank her for her kindness.

To whom it may concern, I had a JC Penny rep come in for sheers and curtains. The main purpose of getting new curtains was to block sunlight from entering the living room. My elderly parents sleep in the living room because my mother can't get up the stairs any longer to get to her bedroom. At the time, my dad was 90 and my mom was 87. She had a stroke so wasn't able to walk. We had to buy a incline chair for my mom and my dad slept on the couch next to her. So, the rep knew that my main purpose was to help my parents sleep better with less light coming in. Long story short and $3,000.00 later, they were not black out curtains and furthermore they still let alot of light in. I was very disappointed because as consumers we have trust that the "professionals" will listen to us and make the right decisions for us. Well, she didn't as far as that's concerned. I tried to get blinds on the window but it was during covid and everything was closed. Since then my father had past and now I sleep on the couch to be next to my mother. Needless to say I had another company get the blinds because I've been ticked off ever since that rep made the wrong choice for our situation. Moreover, I think that the reps coming into the home probably make a commission on what they sell to their clients so they are not really looking out for the customer completely! So, before purchasing any window treatments or anything else for that matter, shop around. If you do go with a particular company, know exactly what you want and make your own "contract" and have them sign it so that if you need to fight them on it, you have proof of what you wanted. Hey, they make us sign contracts too! On the plus side, they did a good job with installing the sheers and the curtains. Again, just be aware of the different products available they have to offer and ask about this. Also, know what you want and write it down on paper and have them sign it so that you get what you want. Steve

Shipping time is way too long; cannot compete with Amazon 2 day shipping.
