“Went to JC penny Bakersfield Ca store #2209 the cashier lady let someone crowed in front of me because they knew her took her sweet time ringing her up and too busy talking to them about her son wedding while the line grew longer and their were no other cashier person to assist the customers.”
“Jc penny's cancel one of my orders and told me that it would take 7 to 10 days before they could return my payment. Hell it only took them 3 seconds to process my payment. Then I received an email saying that my order that was supposed to be delivered on the 8th is now arriving on the 11th and the 14th. I will never order from them again. Online shopping is to much of a hassle.”
“Rudest customer service agent I've ever interacted with. I signed up for an account as there was a rewards promotion going on. I did not receive the e-mail, and neither did a lot of people. When I called to ask about the promotion, the agent replied curtly in an impatient manner. She kept telling me there was no name associated with the account despite me being able to sign in with the reward account and check the name. She also said the promotion was for new members, which was not true as the promotion said previous members could opt into the reward.
I feel like this was a blatant attempt to harvest information. I would not recommend shopping at JCPenny. My mom used to do so, as did I in store, but customer service here is the worst.”

“Ordered online on 7/4/2023 their Website kept showing “Ship to Home or Store Get it Monday, Jul 10th”. I placed my order and less than an hour later I received an email showing “Pickup Jul 19, 2023”. I went back to their site and it was still showing “Home or Store” with a 7/10 date so I started their support chat. The chat person kept saying that they apologized but 7/10 was only for home delivery. I said asked them if that was bait and switch fraudulent advertising. They ended the chat. If they don’t have it by 7/10 like they said I will file a complaint with my State District Attorney office which handles false and misleading businesses. Bait and Switch and false advertising is against the law in all 50 states.”

“Ordered online. Was not able to pickup do to family getting Covid. Recvd email 03/20/23 about being returned and receiving a refund. Today 04/12/23. After 2 phone calls to customer service still no refund. They are quick to take money but extremely slow to refund back. No more online shopping through them for me.”
“I ordered 2 pair glasses that were awful. The sales person told me sorry read the fine print. No refund was possible and offered to up the strength of my glasses. This offering was not what I needed. The glasses were not made well. They made me dizzy. I’ll never use them again. Now I have to find out how to get some sort of compensation. “I bought a Tee shirt and a hoodie. Received a Tee shirt and a random pair of pants that was a size not even close to mine. No idea how a hoodie was mistaken for a pair of pants. The return shipping and amount of BS isn't worth the $25 I paid for the hoodie so I guess I'm stuck with a pair of pants I didn't want.”
“I order 5 items from JCPenny's. One shipped by USPS and other 4 shipped by Lasership. I had to pay 8.95 for shipping. Lasership states they delivered Sunday to our front door. We were home all day and no package on lot. JCPenny's will not do anything for 2 business day, but they take your money as soon as you order. Lasership is looking into it. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM BOTH!”
“I have had the worst experience ever placing an online order. JC Penny has not been able to help me for 2 months. I ordered a bed in December and still there is 0 update. My order is 2022-3443-1600-2611. I need resolution on this if you lost my bed fine. Reimburse me but this is ridiculous. I need a solution. I’ve called 5 times and keep getting passed around, I’ve been sleeping on the ground for a month plus waiting for this bed. “I couldn’t do anything but laugh after purchasing a couple pair of paints from this store in Covington, Louisiana.
I had no issue with the staff or location but after picking out two pair of paints and heading to get checked out , I gave it to the cashier to ring up.
When she told me 97.00 dollars per paints I couldn’t do anything but laugh and the cashier asked me what’s so funny.
All I could think about are these new owners and corporate goons they hire raising prices up without giving their employees raises.
Then I think of the quality of their product and say to myself why in the hell am I’m paying this for these pants when I can get it online much cheaper or just go to Dillard’s for a better product.
I would love to hear their response as to why it cost that much but I’m sure these goons will say they increased pay for the employees which I know would be a lie.
I guess their product has computer chips in it also but I will be returning it as soon as I can.
It’s not about the money to me but it’s time we the people take a stand against corporations and start buying online and quit overpaying these goons more money and supporting their greed.”
“I have placed an online order 3 times, it has been canceled. No one knows the problem. I have spoke with multiple customer service members. Today has been the absolute worst experience l called in spoke with 2 people 2nd person said I can fix this 16 minutes later I was transferred to Anta who stated I need speak with:
FIT department needs to fix problems with 3 x canceled orders. They are to busy. No supervisors because she doesn't know who her supervisor is unable to take number now. After she said yes she could, then changed to no. You need to call back tomorrow. I informed her that now I was not trusting her words. You can trust or not trust my words that is your choice. Please someone review this call. Is this the expected level of customer service skills that I am to look forwardvto with JCP.”

“Made a purchase on 10/29/2022. Afterwards, I found out that my credit limit had been reduced from $8000.00 to $1600.00 dollars. I contacted customer service and was told if I didn’t use my card frequently enough, that my credit limit will be reduced because of inactivity. Who Knew! Was never informed of this before.”
