I wrote a letter of complaint about the smug little witch called Danielle at Lakeside JDSports (if I wasn't a professional her colleagues would have had to pick her up from the floor after my visit) Dear Mr Cowgill, It is with regret that I write to you of all people but my experience in a JDSports store on Saturday has left me with no option. Having received the all - clear from breast cancer on Thursday of last week I decided to treat myself to some retail therapy and went to Lakeside shopping centre in Thurrock. I wanted to buy a pair of running shoes to kick start the ‘new healthy me’. I purchased one pair from a JDSports within the mall but then found a different pair that I preferred in a second JDSports in the mall. When trying on the second pair the sales adviser suggested I return the first pair in the store I was in to save me going to the other shop. Once at the counter I was served by the store manager, who I was advised is the only person in the store authorised to do exchanges of refunds. I explained that I would like to return the trainers and exchange them for the ones I had picked in this store. Without speaking to me the manager inspected the shoes, as I would have expected. This ‘inspection’ was extremely thorough and it was at this point, and in no way rude or said with a tone, I advised her that ‘I had only just bought them – three or four minutes ago.’ To my horror the manager looked up and barked, ‘ Did I say anything?’ I looked quite dismayed and with a very patronising look she repeated, ‘ Did I say a word?’ I was stunned by her curt and aggressive tone. I stood for a bit in silence , having said to her, ‘I was merely explaining that I had only just purchased them.’ Again, she looked up and said ,’ you are incredibly rude, it is my job to inspect the shoes.’ I did not want to engage in any unnecessary conversation with this woman; I was embarrassed enough at me being spoken to like a naughty child in front of a queue of other customers. It was at this point that I began to shake and tears welled up in my eyes. Not only was I being bullied by the manager I was being forced into a position where I was humiliated and embarrassed in front of a queue of customers as well as other members of staff. I asked her if we could ‘just get on with it’ as I was, at this point, desperate to leave the store. I stood in absolute silence, my face red and whole body shaking with rage as I watched her typing my details into the till. It was at this point that she looked up and said, ‘stop looking at me like that’. By now I’d had enough, it seems that this woman was extremely angry and upset with something prior to my visit and had decided to assert herself with me for no reason whatsoever. I then with slightly raised voice said,’ I am looking at you because it is courteous to do so, would you prefer me to turn away and speak with my back to you?’ I then turned fully round to face the opposite direction to make a point. She then said,’ right, you are incredibly rude and I’m not serving you. You will have to take these somewhere else ‘cause there’s nothing I’m going to do.’ I said, ‘excuse me? You’re not going to serve me?’ ‘That’s right she smiled, you’re too rude.’ At this point I demanded the number to customer services. She ignored me when I was asking claiming, ‘Can’t you see I’m serving someone, you’ll have to wait.’ Eventually she handed me the number and I tried to call from the shop. She gave me the wrong number and when I advised her of this she looked over and said,’ it’s the one we use.’ Frustration boiling now, I advised her that i had driven 35 miles to get to this store and now she was refusing to serve me? ‘Yes’ she laughed, ‘I’m the only one who can do exchanges so you’ll have to go elsewhere.’ I even tried to apologise to her for a misunderstanding but she just shrugged her shoulders and walked off from the counter smiling. As I left the store two customers that had heard this conversation stopped me as they left to say that I had in no way been rude to the lady and that ‘she’s obviously having a bad day’. Plausible had it not have been for the fact that it was just past 9am! I left the store, found an exit to the mall and sat in my car crying unable to continue my ‘day out’. Not only was I choked about this experience I was left humiliated and unnecessarily embarrassed by a girl half my age who thought her actions and rudeness were justified and somewhat amusing. My shopping experience was, to say the least, ruined and the whole weekend blighted by a half witted upstart who considered herself in a position to be rude, discourteous and patronising. Suffice to say that I will not return to the JDSports store in Lakeside shopping centre and should I wish to purchase anything I will do so online. I would appreciate a swift response to this letter of complaint and do hope that the matters I have raised will not be repeated by the manager ‘Danielle’ again. Perhaps a customer service course would benefit her; she may well be a superb manager but she is lacking in a very important area of management; customer service and satisfaction. I am in no way happy with the disrespectful behaviour displayed and would expect managers to have more decorum towards customers. Bought navy converse lo pro which after a month started to go pink around the toe area. JD sports said they were not faulty and had come into contact with a bleaching agent.This is lies the shoes are faulty.

Manager in Braehead store very unhelpful with a very cheeky attitude. Needs to learn how to manage customers. Atrocious!

Customer service at jd sports in Eltham High Street is very poor. Staff is very slow and not motivated to sell at all. Staff talk to each other on the shop floor ignoring customers to help! Very disappointing. Do not want to come back ever.

One pair of shoes, two sizes. Got a UK3 and a UK4. Tried to contact customer services. Got no reply. Sent back for a refund. Shop somewhere else.

Boys trainers 3 months old sent off with box and receipt for inspection today arrived in black bag no box or my original receipt a letter say no refund he's 7 he kicked a ball once and they ripped this is a breach of the sale of goods act 1979 I have contacted citizens advice next stop watch dog as I cannot get in touch with customer care

I was a Store Manager in Scotland. The company head office discriminated Scottish peopl. Lack of leadership and commitment. Treat all employees and customers as thieves regardless. Managers sleeping together - ie, floor manager and area manager. HR and Payroll lazy and no organisational skills. Don't contact them regarding HR or wages as they don't know what they're doing. I stayed in Bury last year for a conference at head office in Hollinsbrook Way and I was put up in the Village Hotel next door to the company CEO who thought it was appropriate to tell me to f*ck off in the corridor because he bumped into me whilst he was texting!! Dismissed my assistant manager because she was texting in the staff room! Would you like me to continue? Absolutely shocking company to work for!! They could not pay me enough to work there again! Longest 4 years of my life!

I have had the worst customer service experience with dealing with JD Sports in the Crescent shopping centre Limerick, here is my story: On Tuesday week ago myself and my son went to purchase a pair of nike runners, they did not have his size and told us they would order for us and the runners would be in on Friday and guaranteed us no later than Saturday , the assistant that served us was named Ger and it was on his guarantee and sales ability and assurances that we went ahead with the purchase. I went to collect the runners on Saturday and was told they did not arrive and had not been dispatched. As you ay understand I was quite upset with this and asked to speak with customer services. I spoke to them and they were no help whatsoever, I was basically told that it was not their fault, I could not get a refund until the runners arrived in the shop and there was nothing they would do for me. I asked for the runners to be couriered to my house and they refused. As I have worked with the public for a lot of my life I could not believe the total refusal to help. I was then informed by the manager that they should be in on Tuesday, i went back to the shop on Tuesday and still no runners. My son agreed to wait until today Thursday for the runners as I was told again they should be there and then when I went to the shop this morning still no runners. Now you can imagine how frustrating this has been as a customer. I was not treated with respect this morning when I was offered a refund (which I took), the original sales assistant Ger was laughing and singing to himself whilst dealing with me. He did apologise but it was not sincere. I cannot believe such a big chain would have such little respect for their customers, from sales assistants to customer service operators.I would like if this stores policies were reviewed and rewritten. I will never shop in JD Sports again and I would urge all others to do the same. After I recieved my refund I walked in next door to Schuh and walked out 5 minutes later with runners and would like to congratulate the staff on their pleasant sales technique.

Disgusting Service and product selling technique. I wanted to buy a white pair of trainers and so I tried one trainer, the second was hidden under the packaging and so I was rushed into buying it as the box was taken away to the till. The next few days in the evening I decide to wear the shoes out, to my surprise as I walked a few steps I realise that one trainer is discoloured and yellow with a scratch mark on the bottom. I go to my local JD Sports in order to exchange it but was shot down and was told I must go back to Lakeside (where I bought them from) in order to get this matter resolved. I live in East London and going to Lakeside is a massive inconvenience so I go there any way. The manager DANIELLE was the most rudest person I have met, she refused to help me and threatened to call security. This got me even more angrier! How dare anyone talk to a customer like this in front of the general public. I contact JD RESOLVER where I was told that is where I must complaint to, I get a response every 3-4 days. (TIME-WASTING) I was told to attach my name, address, pictures of the trainers and the receipt which I received via email. I sent all that through and after 3 days I get a response saying I must get a revived copy of the receipt from the store. WHY would I ever want to visit a JD Store after the treatment I received. I was sold a USED display trainer without being informed and was rushed into buying it. And JD now do not want to take this back because I 'wore' the trainers?!?! How fair is this? I am so angry and will warn off anyone from buying anything from that AWFUL store.

BUYER BEWARE! ORDER# JD58377451 BUYERS BEWARE! IT HAS BEEN 1.5 WEEKS SINCE I CONTACTED JDSPORTS (4 TIMES)ABOUT A FAULTY PRODUCT. THEY HAVE PROMISED ON NO LESS THAN 4 OCCASIONS TO HAVE A CUSTOMER CARE MANAGER CONTACT ME, BUT AS EXPECTED NOTHING! EMPTY LIES! I EVEN SENT THEM AN E MAIL (WHICH WAS RECEIVED) INCLUDING PHOTOS OF THE FAULTS AS PER THEIR REQUEST-ALL JUST STONEWALLING TACTICS-I SUGGEST THAT YOU PURSUE SATISFACTION IN THE SMALL CLAIMS COURTS AS I PLAN TO DO TO GET SATISFACTION & MAKE SURE TO TWEET AND USE MASS MEDIA TO ENLIGHTEN OTHER POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS ABOUT JDSPORTS EXTREMELY POOR AFTER SALES/CUSTOMER 'CARE' SERVICE. (apologies for caps). NB Alex of JDSports-dont bother with your generic reply, we are way past that stage-i shall not be contacting you for more timewasting tactics, as i said 'small claims court is where i shall seek satisfaction'.

Still awaiting an order placed over a week ago since my money left my account. Emails answered last week but not backed up by the tracking information. Further emails now having a zero response. Since no phone numbers connect I now worry how I will get my money refunded or goods received. Do not order via the Internet.

EVERYBODY KNOWS JD SELL GOOD CLOTHING ORIGINAL CLOTHING, BUT REALLY THAT ISNT TRUE JD SELL LOW QUALITY CLOTHING BY CALLING IT ‘ADIDAS ORIGINAL’ EVERY JD CUSTOMER BE CAREFUL IN WHAT YOU BUY, TOTALLY WASTE OF MONEY! READ BELOW.. I want to tell all JD customers, I am a regular JD customer, I at least buy clothing for my whole family every day or every week or every month, I have spent loads and loads of money on JD for a few years, but I have seen some clothing have lost colour, ripped or clothing has holes in it within 2-3months of use and that is mostly Adidas Original branded that JD sell. So I have had to throw loads of JD clothing in the bin after 2-3months because some of the clothing lost colour, some of the clothing had fabric coming off, some of the clothing had cotton balls appearing, some of the clothing had holes in them and even some of the clothing had the Adidas stripes coming off or even the stripes ripped in the middle. For the past few months I complained to JD via email to the Chief Executive, and in the Cheifs Place there was his colleague named Christine Ashworth who spoke to me on the Cheifs behalf via email, and she communicated with me for 4-5 months and wasted my time. At the end she wanted proof of the clothing and that's when I sent 7 clothings to her, 5 were Adidas Original Trackpants and 2 were Adidas Original Hoodies which intotal cost about £450, each of the trackpants cost £50-£60, and one of the hoodies cost £130 and the other hoodie cost about £70. I sent all the clothing to JD and proved that they sold me rubbish and low quality products by calling them 'Original Adidas'. So I did want to take this matter legally at the beginning because JD are selling low quality products by labelling them as Adidas Original, but Christine Ashworth kept sweet talking me to waste time and she didn't let me proceed legally. At the beginning JD had always said the damages were due to washing, then when they saw they couldn’t make me understand with that excuse thats when she tried to persuade me by saying its wear and tear but I was even frustrated and I argued saying 2-3months cannot give wear and tear, also if the product is Original Adidas then it should have a longer life, so when i stated the right points with evidence that’s when they start making it complex to cover everything. I even reported this to Adidas but Adidas never did anything for it either. When JD got me to send the poor quality products to them, after JD had checked, they then sent these poor quality products to Adidas for inspection, but Adidas never said anything to me, but what I know for sure is that JD harassed me a lot, and took advantage of me, and everything was made worse by CHRISTINE ASHWORTH!. When Christine Ashworth understood that she couldn’t persuade me anymore because she herself knew that JD sold me RUBBISH QUALITY PRODUCTS, that's when she admitted to me that after inspection she has found that out of 7 of the products I sent back she found 2 of the products to be manufacturers fault, that means she is not able to admit to all of them due to embarrassment so she only admitted to at least two of the products, but simply it means all of the products were manufacturers fault, and they were all low quality but they are selling by saying Original Adidas, also Original Adidas costs more than Adidas brand, thats why we public think that Original Adidas is a better quality but realistically its not. It started from washing fault to admitting 2 are manufacturing faults, if i continue then all 7 will be manufacturing faults, but I cannot waste anymore time. So the two items that she admitted was manufacturers fault both cost in total about £200.00 which is the value of when I bought the items, but now she classed one of the items as £9.00 and one of then as £14.00? THAT IS HARRASSMENT but the only reason she did this with me is because she has seen its been few months now and that I wouldn't proceed legally, but I told her that I will show it to the public on the web and she didn't even bother that's why I am doing this today, because I don't want another public like me to face losses. I will be putting this on many websites with pictures aswell. She first did offer me £240.00 worth of clothing for free and she had said it will be latest released clothing by Adidas, but I didn't accept £240 because the value of the clothing I bought was about £450, then for a few weeks I did nothing but argued with her. At the end of time when I realised she was just wasting my time and was messing me about that's when I told her to give me £240 which she had offered before, but then she says to me she will only give me £50, i then offered her back to keep the £50.00 because its not even enought for a pair of socks and unders! So then I responded to her, and said I will leave reviews on the internet and will upload and show everyone the pictures of the products I received, but she did not at all bother. Also I have been reporting to them for 4-5 months but not at any point have they valued me as a customer, at the end of everything they gave me NOTHING, but harassment and wasted my time. Also the regular clothing that I buy from JD, even those times, there were cases where I was sent 3 products out 4 and they didn't even bother to refund me, then after 1 month I had to open a dispute via PayPal to forcefully get my money back, that's when PayPal helped me to get me my refund. That is CHEATING with customers, if I didn't ever mention about the refund then they would never have refunded me, I have faced many cases like this, JD are very good at keeping peoples money without the product, you have to beg them for your refund and if you don't speak up then that's your money gone to the JD fund, if JD were so good then why did they keep my money and not give my item or refund for a month. I have had many problems where I have bought clothing online, then I was told that the products were out of stock, so I waited for my refund but they didn't give my money, I then had to forcefully get my money back. Also at certain times I ordered for example 5 products, but when I received order I see there was only 3 products, I rang JD Customer Service, but they kept telling me they sent 5, making it as if I am the liar? Sometimes I buy one thing but I am given something totally different. I have only written the above to make everyone careful about what JD really are. Be careful in products you buy from JD, their quality of Adidas Originals are Rubbish, they are not real, because if they were real then why has my clothing got damaged within 2-3months. I will upload pictures of the poor quality products that JD had sold me, I will put the pictures on as many review sites as I can, so that everyone can see the REALNESS of JD!! BE CAREFUL IN BUYING THE ORIGINAL ADIDAS FROM JD BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT ORIGINALS BASED ON THE QUALITY WHICH I GOT. THOSE WHO PURCHASE ONLINE, KEEP A WATCH OUT TO SEE IF ALL YOUR ITEMS ARE COMING TO YOU, IF NOT CHECK TO SEE IF THEY HAVE REFUNDED YOU BECAUSE CERTAIN TIMES THEY SAY THEY WILL REFUND YOU BUT THEY DONT, THEY LOVE KEEPING CUSTOMERS MONEY WITHOUT GIVING THEM THE PRODUCT. IF YOU WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT THIS OR WANT TO SEE THE PICTURES OF THE POOR QUALITY ITEMS THAT I DID SEND TO JD, AND IF YOU DONT BELEIVE ME THEN PLEASE EMAIL ME AT misterjichowdhury@hotmail.co.uk, I WILL THEN SHOW YOU THE QUALITY OF THE PRODUCTS THAT JD SOLD ME, I WILL SEND YOU THE PICTURES ASWELL! DO not buy from jD sports if goods go faulty there returns process is rubbish. You will not get a refund or replacement. Customer care not good at all.

went in to the burnley branch to buy 2 pairs of trainers one for the missus and the other for my little girl. my little girl spoke to one of the assistants and asked her name to which she replied " sorry i`m not allowed to tell you that. " with that we left never to return.

The online process is quick and easy and i was updated with a text message to inform me that my item was ready for collection. This experience is let down by the in store experience. On a few occasions where i have requested my items be delivered to store the service is appalling. The staff clearly don't have a clue what good customer service is. You queue at the till to tell them your collecting your online order for a shop assistant to shout the name of another staff member across the shop floor to get there attention. This advisor is far too engrossed in having a chat with another shop assistant, so while i wait at the till and after calling this particular person at least 10 times he eventually realises he's actually there to do a job and comes over to be given my name (although i did think why can't this assistant from the till actually move her legs and walk over and tell him, i thought maybe she's not allowed from her post at the till that's why we are shouting across the store - obviously not this person is just lazy, as when her colleague asked her to come over to show her the new trainers she had on that she had ordered online she quickly moved from the till to have a look and have a natter with her)...anyway this person now has my name and has walked off. Meanwhile i'm still standing there - i assume this person is gone off to get my order as so far no-one has told me anything. There is now people behind me. So the person at the till can continue serving i wait to one side, still waiting i decide to go for a browse round the shop...now i realise why i'm waiting so long this advisor hasn't even got my order he's now talking to another staff member at the foot ware and there laughing and joking, he looks up see's me and still has the audacity to keep chatting...It's ok i only on my lunch break i clearly have all the time in the world to wait while you keep on chatting. I then just get handed my order - no ID/BANK Card asked for as stated in your policy just my name. The buy online collect in store process is meant to be make it convenient for customer - quick easy fast service. Your staff members would do well in knowing this.

shocking service from JD sports. Ordered on a next day deliver service for which I paid more for - never arrived. JD sales team promised it was coming the next day - but failed to arrive for Christmas . Would never order again for tham online.
