“bided on a shower unit which was described as worth £800 i won the lot and when the item was delivered it had no thermostatic shower valve with it, I emailed john pye who sent me a picture of the lot showing no valve but showing a closed box under the shower head which one would presume was the valve. cut a long story short they have refused to refund me as sold as seen ,so i ask why show a closed box if nothing inside then write a description saying worth £800 when clearly its not even worth £100 without the valve. John pye deliberately misleads you so be careful. Very very disappointed that they work this way”

“Selling lot of faulty electrical items not even is described about the issues. Also manipulate the customers about the quantity of the certain items (socket sets, for 175 pieces is described like 200 pieces) in the description also price is for 200 pieces and customers are biding for the wrong items thinking is the right one by the description.”

“Well bagged another great bargain from John Pye again £23 for a beautiful unit not a thing wrong with it checked RRP they're £239 wow well pleased again will finish off my stairs. I love this site been bidding for years got luxury carpets for my home bedding garden furniture I love it. Thanks guys be back again 🥰”

“Paid £85 for an item which didn’t work. I wasn’t able to view the item due to Covid-19. When I tried to talk to someone they where not interested. Sent them an email. No reply. Even though under warranty the manufacture will not take the item for repair purchased from an auction. Plus so many additional costs. I also I think they inflate the prices to get near retail price. I’ve bid for stuff. That by the time I’ve paid and had it shipped I could of bought it with a guarantee cheaper from a retailer”

“NONE OF 18 THE ITEMS WORK Placed an order for 18 lots, only 16 arrived 3 weeks later, ALL with physical or electrical damage, none of the units are working and are hazardous to use... Shocking. Boness site had no response just copy past that they are not liable for anything they sold and offer no refunds or returns.”

“Scammed me. Sent me £6k worth of broken and faulty items. These weren't described as broken or faulty in the auction lots. These guys will be reported to Watchdog. Believe you me, if you are reading this, John Pye - I will do everything in my power to spread the word about this. And I'm involved in Digital Marketing as a career so I know how to hit where it hurts. Also, guys who have been scammed, stand up for your rights. GET LEGAL ADVICE!”

“Trading standards - what is it going to take? this dodgy company is getting away with day light robbery . The number of customer complaints just keeps increasing . John Pye sells junk that is fit for the tip without battling an eye lid and they bid on the goods themselves to push the price up ! .”

“This company pray on fools thinking they are getting a good deal.. they are a con ...Do not buy electrical items 100% guarantee it will not work, 75% they are broken and only good for strap . Bought 5 heaters some was in boxes like brand new and once i opened they were used 🤮🤮 .. filled in on line query form but John Pye like a good con hid behind T&C and not willing to help a disappoint customer so had to chuck them away . this is an embarrassment they can trade like this and get away with it. NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY YOUR BE BETTER TO BRUNT YOU MONEY IF YOU WANT TO WASTE IT !!! **************************PLEASE AVOID*******************************”

“Dont buy elrctrical stuff 50% guarantee it will not work, 25% they are broken so you are left with 25% luck👍🏼 Bought 5 inflatable beds for kids and adults, in pictures they were in boxes like brand new and once i opened they were used you can see human hairs on surface 🤮🤮 so had to chuck them away didnt bother opening all of them. Very digusting items and bought some kitchen pots and pans which suppose to be brand new in boxes was look like in pictures which were used aw🤢🤢 *********PLEASE AVOID***********”

“no star review please dont waste your money with these rip off merchants who send you items that are damaged and missing parts making them entirely useless then fob you off hiding behind their unfair T and C's you may as well take your money and burn on the fire, at least then you not left with rubbish you have to dispose of at more cost,they could take a photo of a laptop box, describe it as a laptop, then send you the box with 2 bricks in it, when you complain;they will hide behind their inequitable T and C's and blame the consumer.”

“This auction house sells dangerous goods, it hides behind the banner of you should inspect. NO. No one should be allowed to sell goods that endangers lives. If there is not a law against this then there should be. Bought 3 electrical items, 2 I rapidly unplugged due to smell of burning and third had so many wires showing , didn't dare plug in. Do not buy electrical items from John Pye.”

“Invoice number is 100266 / EDIN505_SR24_CNC. I bought and paid 117.12 pounds for an Electric cooker Ceramic Hob, transport does not make anything clear, when I claim the order, they answered I have to go 220 miles to pick it up, I said I will pay for the transport so that I can send it or cancel the purchase, they answered They cannot do it and they cannot cancel the purchase either, they are scammers from the first time, I will do it I have to do it legally, careful careful they are scammers”

“I purchased an item and after I payed for it they changed the discription I was called a lier by the warehouse manager and customer services after three days of phoning I spoke to a girl who told me she altered the add no apologies just told don’t buy if you don’t like it never never again will I purchase anything from John pye cheaper on eBay with garentee”
